Ch. 5 Part 1

Lin Yu'an woke up very early the next day whiles the sky was still dark. He quickly got dressed and put away the tent into his space, Lin Yu'an walked out of the house and started running some lapse around in the village. He stopped only after seeing the first light and had sweated enough, while running back to the house he met one or two villagers on his way who looked at his sweating body and behavior strangely but none of them commented. Witnessing how he fought with the thugs the previous day, the villagers who witnessed it still felt terrified of how.

In this village and era where it was to worship and fear the strong and bully the weak. The previous Lin Yu'an was considered the weak and was very easy to bully, but they thought not anymore after seeing such a terrifying Lin Yu'an, who would think about going to bully him or talk about him openly. They could only whisper in small small voices and walk away and Lin Yu'an didn't have the leisure time for them.

When Lin Yu'an got home, he reached out his hand to open the door but stopped half way. He felt something amiss in the house which made him feel alarmed. He had a very good keen of sense and was always on alert because in his occupation anything could happen when you least expect it. He decisively armed himself with the karambit knife, took a deep breath before holding in his breath. He slowly pushed the door open and took stealth steps into the house with vigilance and alertness.

He turned to see the door of the kitchen slightly opened which wasn't how he left it. Lin Yu'an slowly walk to the kitchen not making any sounds to alarm whoever was in there. He opened the door and walked in at once intending to strike, but stopped his attack when the tip of the knife reached the neck of the person in the kitchen, Lin Yu'an stopped in a hurry. He was flabbergasted, he had forgotten that he was no longer leaving alone and had people around him. Seeing Yu ger's terrified and panicked face Lin Yu'an felt very apologetic, he still wasn't used to the fact that he was now in another era and had a family.

He looked at Yu ger who had tears in his eyes with one of his hand on his neck and the other hand leaning on the mud wall. Yu ger felt his legs weak making him fall on his knees and panting hard scared out of his mind. He felt his life flash away at that moment, thinking about how he nearly lost his life a second ago Yu ger's breath got messy and he started to breath hard.

Noticing Yu ger's dangerous situation Lin Yu'an quickly knelt in front of him, Yu ger was hyperventilated due to him being panicked now. His breathing got messy and heavy and he was having hard time breathing. Lin Yu'an quickly helped him stabilize his breath, after calming down Lin Yu'an took him out and had him sit in the yard. " I'm sorry for what happened now..... just now it was my fault " he apologized honestly.

He really blamed himself now because he was neglectful just now, Yu ger just nod with his head facing down not saying anything. Lin Yu'an took the first aid kit and helped him treat the wound on the neck and bandaged it, luckily it was a small wound. After he gave Yu ger the calcium supplements, vitamins and anti-inflammatory cream he bought the night before. He sent Yu ger back to the room after explaining their uses and prescribing just right for him and the twins before going to take care Of breakfast.

Yu ger sat on the kang with the stuffs Lin Yu'an gave him in hands and remembering the medical tools and medicines in the first aid kit, he reached out to his neck with his slender fingertips feeling the bandage the bandaged wound with his fingertips. He was fascinated, curious and confused. All the things given to him by Lin Yu'an did not exist in this era. Yu ger was by no means an idiot, he was from a scholarly family and was literate so there was no way he could be cheated easily.

Him always feigning ignorance was of his choice because of his current situation of living, so he could tell something was off about Lin Yu'an now. Infact he knew something was definitely off about Lin Yu'an since setting his eyes on him previously. And the actions and behavior of Lin Yu'an was different, being married to Lin Yu'an for so many years. They slept on the same bed and woke up to each other's presence. How could he not tell when Lin Yu'an's temperament changes and becomes different, this Lin Yu'an was somewhat similar to the Lin Yu'an he was used to but there was a big difference too. Even though this Lin Yu'an seemed very cold and nonchalant he gave off a very warm feeling compared to the previous Lin Yu'an and this Lin Yu'an looked strong and had an arrogant and majestic demeanour to himself, and he no longer felt disgusted when Lin Yu'an approaches him compared to previously.

Lin Yu'an himself was basically leaving behind clues, he just couldn't bring himself to live pretending to be the previous owner, he just couldn't wrong himself when he could live a good life!

By the time Lin Yu'an finished with making the breakfast the villagers were up and working, smokes could be seen rising from their stoves. He quickly took care of his hygiene brushing his teeth and washing up before getting dressed up in new clothes. Lin Yu'an had never joked with his hygiene, he was a type who couldn't stand filthy things. He walked to the door of the room about to push it open, but he stopped with a thought. He knocked " Yang Yu I'm coming in " he announced before proceeding to enter.

Yu ger was lying on the kang bed with the twins who looked like they just woke up from their sleep was surprised with Lin Yu'an's address of him. The previous Lin Yu'an always addressed him as whore or slut or sometimes with no address at all because they didn't speak to each other. Lin Yu'an walked over to the kids avoiding making eye contact with Yu ger, he bend and kissed the kids one after the other on the head with a bright smile. " did you sleep well? " the kids nodded as he asked, Yu ger had his eyes fixated on him since he walked him.

Feeling his hot gaze Lin Yu'an couldn't help but meet with his gazes. They both stared at each other's eyes none of them wanting to speak, Yu ger didn't want to break the silence first, infact he didn't know what to say. And Lin Yu'an had absolutely no intention of explaining anything it felt as if they had just come to a tactical understanding, with none of them intending to ask nor explain.

" breakfast is done, come out and clean up first " he helped the twins down from the kang bed, they no longer rejected and feared him as they used to which made him much relief. He was a type who loved children a lot, after saying to Yu ger he walked out with the kids. When Yu ger walked out he saw Lin Yu'an helping the twins who seemed to be excited brush their teeth with another novelty thing which piqued his curiosity, Lin Yu'an turned to him as soon as he felt and noticed his presence. " Those are yours... use them to clean your teeth " he pointed to the brush and with paste on it along with a mug of water explaining how to use it, Yu ger nodded. After they where done cleaning up he had Yu ger keep the brush and paste with him before serving them the porridge and pancakes he made to the room. After having a good meal Lin Yu'an walked to the village head's house with a jar of alcohol, the village head's family consisted of his wife, two sons and a ger. The eldest son was married with a four and three years old sons. Lin Yu'an went to make amends and solve the problems shouldered on him by the previous owner, he only decided to solve those problems because he had no plans of moving out of the village yet.

And for him to live a peaceful life in the village some troubles needed to be solved, he left the village head's house after having a good elderly and the young talk with the village head. The village head and his family were all shocked at first but when they felt his sincere apologies and heart of change they couldn't help but wish it so, although not all of them believed but the village head was happy, he was a friend of Lin Yu'an's parents so he considered Lin Yu'an as his responsibility after the death if his parents.
