Olivia Taylor awoke, as if from a long dream.

In the dream, she had seemed to have gone through a catastrophe. Her skin and flesh had been stained by darkness, and she had no power to resist it. She had let her soul fall into the darkness.

But as Olivia slowly cleared her thoughts, she realized that everything wasn't a dream at all, but a real event that had happened to her.

Her chest hurt badly.

When Olivia touched her chest, she found many wires connected to it, making her dare not move easily. Yet she saw she was indeed in her bedroom.

She carefully moved away from the wires and propped herself up. Then the bedroom door suddenly opened, and she heard a shout from the doorway: "Olivia, you're awake?"

The sound was familiar, but Olivia, who had just woken up, could not remember who it was for a moment. She looked at where the sound was coming from and saw an ecstatic Linda Cooper.
