Sebastian Quinn, the return of the billionaire, lay on the sterile hospital bed. His once unruly, long hair and beard were now shaven, a symbol of a fresh start. The hospital room was a tightly secured enclave, designed to prevent any leaks about his return to the outside world.
He stared out of the window, his piercing eyes fixed on the cityscape. The city he left behind had changed. It was more menacing, a reflection of the darkness he was now determined to eradicate.
Inside the hall area, the door creaked open, and in walked his mother, Isabella Quinn, a woman of grace and strength. Her eyes held a mix of concern and anticipation as she approached the doctor. Sebastian watched her entering, his heart a whirlwind of emotions.
"Doctor Patel," Isabella began, her voice a mix of urgency and worry. "How is my son?"
Doctor Patel, a seasoned medical professional, sighed, struggling to find the right words to describe Sebastian's condition. "Mrs. Quinn, your son... he's been through an incredible ordeal. His body bears the scars of survival, both physical and internal. I am amazed that with all the injuries he has on his body, how is he still alive."
Although both of them were standing and having this conversation from quite a distance they thought that Sebastian won't be able to hear them. However, his lessons there seemed to have also sharpened his hearing skills if he kept his focus on anyone's conversation. On the island even a small sound of branches being tweaked would wake him up from his sleep which he hardly used to do. So how can he not hear the conversation between his mother and the doctor. But did this really bother him? Not at all. He was used to this. Whatever his mission of returning was, he wanted to be solely focussed on that.
Isabella's eyes welled up with tears as she listened, her heart aching for the pain her son had endured. "Tell me everything, Doctor. I need to know."
The doctor took a deep breath, composing himself to provide a detailed account. "He has numerous fractures, some of which have not received proper medical treatment. I understand that there he might not have received any kind of medical aid for his fractures which is itself a shock that within the span o f fi ve years these fractures have been in a stage of self healing. These injuries have healed over time, leaving behind a tapestry of scars. He's been through a variety of external and internal injuries, indicating a life of constant struggle for survival."
Isabella held back her tears, her hands gripping the edge of the chair. "But he's alive... he survived?"
Doctor Patel nodded solemnly. "Indeed, against all odds, he survived. It's a testament to his resilience and determination. Frankly, I'm astonished by how he made it through."
Sebastian listened to this conversation, a mix of emotions swirling within him. He was grateful to be alive, to have this chance to make a difference. Yet, the road to recovery, both physically and emotionally, was daunting for others who would watch. But as for him, he was prepared for everything that was going to come in his way.
Isabella turned her gaze toward her son, a mother's love and determination shining in her eyes. "We'll get through this together, Sebastian. You're not alone in this fight. I want you to get a full recovery here with all your injuries to be treated properly."
Sebastian shook his head and assured his mother.
"Don't worry mother, look at me, I am completely fine." He stood up from the body and stretched his body a bit. He was walking perfectly in fact his swift movements were a shock to everyone present there. It was evident that once they would have seen him fighting and running, they would have frozen on their place itself because of shock.
Isabella exclaimed in shock.
"No you don't have to do anything. If I say you have to get treatment then you have to. No questions."
Sebastian knew the level of stubbornness of his mother so he nodded his head, the weight of his mission pressing on his shoulders. The city awaited its savior, and Sebastian was ready to become that beacon of hope, despite the scars that marked his journey.
Days turned into a week as Sebastian underwent intense physical therapy and medical treatments to heal his fractured body. Each step was a painful reminder of the battles he had fought. Each exercise was a struggle, but he persevered, fueled by the city's desperate need for a hero. But little did everybody knew that his therapy was only in the morning, how he would escape his room to fulfill his duties nobody was aware about it. Not even a single person was able to find when he left and when he came back.
Isabella remained by his side, a constant source of support and love. She held his hand during the most grueling sessions, providing encouragement and comfort. As a mother it was painful for her to see her child like this, but Sebastian he has faced worse, these things were just temporary things that he wanted to end quickly. He was getting more and more irritated with the number of days he was spending here. Their conversations during those trying times were a lifeline, a reminder of the family he was fighting for.
"How are you feeling today?" Isabella asked, her voice gentle as she sat by his bedside.
Sebastian grimaced, feeling the ache in his bones. "Completely fine, but I'm not understanding why I have to stay longer. I am completely fine."
Isabella sighed, her eyes reflecting a mixture of worry and pride. "You've always been strong-willed, even as a child. Your father would be proud of the man you've become."
Sebastian's gaze drifted back to the cityscape visible from the window. "I just hope I can make him proud, make things right."
"You will," Isabella said, her voice unwavering. However, she caught the last sentence he said about making things right. Her heart fluttered as she wanted to ask him about something trying to confirm some suspicions. She wanted to ask him about his father about what actually happened. "You… your father… he?"
Sebastian's eyes fluttered.
"Did he say something to you or is there anything that you would like to share?"
