Trapped

Melissa's pov

I was dragged to the back of an abandoned Container in the parking lot. Since there is no source of light, and the dawn has already taken over, I find it a little bit hard to see clearly. The smell of the rusting container in collaboration with the choking Dust smell are the only things that fill the entire air, and this makes it hard for me to breathe well.

"Don't even attempt to move an inch unless we told you so," One of the guys that dragged me here grumbled loudly, Even in my desperate position I still managed to nod my head.

I tried to inhale slowly, in an attempt to avoid the contaminated air from rushing into my lungs, and my heart won't stop pounding loudly. With me sitting on the rusty floor, I managed to pull my legs a little closer and wrapped them with my hands. As each minute passes, the place we are in also becomes darker and scarier, at least to me.

I tried thinking about something, but it feels as if my soul is no longer there, like my body is just here, waiting for what to happen at the very end.

At last, I heard one of the guys whispering something to the other, followed by the other guy pulling me up unexpectedly without any further notice.

I winced in pain, and none of them doesn't even seem like they care, not like I had expected that before. One guy was dragging me and the other was behind us.

When we reach an open space, everything starts to make sense. A few meters away from us, I can hear the chatting of the other guys, loudly and clearly. All the vehicle's headlights are on just to serve as a source of light to the place cause everywhere has turned dark.

After a few minutes, we reach where they are. The guy that was holding my hand released me and pushed me to the ground at the front of one of the cars.

" You can bring him now," Daniel's voice jolted me back to reality. I managed to squeeze my eyes just to catch a glimpse of him; the excessive light that was coming from the car headlight was preventing me from seeing clearly.

There he is, standing side by side with one of the guys, both are holding guns, and they are both lost in whatever they are saying.

I can feel the streams of tears running down my eyes. I guess this is the end, I thought sadly. Even if I am expecting a miracle to happen, I don't think that time is now.

During the last few hours, I have managed to manipulate myself from thinking about anything, from my family to Melanie and to everything I am going to leave behind without getting the chance to say goodbye. This is a hard thing to think about, but at the same time, this is the reality I am about to face.

Letting go of everything now, because I'm oblivious to what's about to happen in the next few minutes.

" Melissa," Someone's voice suddenly interrupted my reverie. I immediately darted my eyes to the side where the voice came from, but the light kept disturbing me from getting a clear view. Even in my sleep, I don't think there is a way I won't recognise the person I just heard. "Bobby" I muttered silently, my whole body was already vibrating on the spot I was sitting on.

While I was still trying to get everything together, one of the guys walked up to me, grabbed my wrist and pulled my whole body as if it were made of a piece of paper. Unfortunately, my first sight is not pleasant, I find it hard to believe that the person I am glaring at is Bobby. Both hands were tied and the brushes on his face made it hard to recognise him.

" Just let her go, you can have me all to yourself," He muttered, as he was practically screaming in agony. Daniel was now standing in his front with a mask. He walked closer to him and gestured to the guys holding him to release him.

" You should have  think about that before coming here with a tracker, I thought you were told everything you need to know?" He demanded, walked closer to him and gave him a hard punch that sent him rolling.

" Daniel!" I don't know when the words move out. He looked back at me, his eyes fixating into mine for some seconds before looking back at Bobby, the two guys have dragged him back to Daniel's front.

" Just tell me what you want, please just let her go," even with the pain, he mumbled in a gloomy tone.

" That promise is no longer valid the moment you tried to play smart, ...."

" I don't put you here to preach to him, and I also don't expect to meet any of the two alive," He was cut off by someone, I recognise that voice, just that I am not in my right mind to think about who it belongs to.

" Dad, I thought you left California?' Daniel Stuttered, looking confused at the same time.
