Shortest chapter

Shortest chapter, I will make it up in the next chapter. Just have to write this in a hurry. 

Melissa's pov

"Less than a month," she answered amidst tears. I could feel the hovering cloud of despair lighten and run down my spine, the cloud of depression started to creep over me again, and her words kept on echoing loudly on my head making me feel dizzy. 

I cleared my throat, trying to dislodge the sudden lump in it which felt like an obstacle preventing me from voicing out. Tears rushed down on their own, mouth opened widely but not a single word leave it. I can see she was also crying, my sight is clouded due to the ocean of tears that has already taken over, making my face damp due to it.

No!!! I never expected this, I know I prepared that I will be brave but I never expected it to be this fast. I know I promised not to cry no matter what happened, I broke it ,  but this is the least of what u expected, I just can't help it. 

I can see Melanie moving slowly from the corner of my eyes, it is very clear that she doesn't understand what just happened. But that didn't mean she didn't know what my mom meant by her words, she already knew that she was referring to my dad. ..

A part of me keeps blaming my mom for keeping this from me, I would be shocked like this if I knew beforehand. I would have spent more time with him, I would have done anything to make him happy. Stupid me, I don't even realise that am losing him without even knowing.

My mom is now prone on the bed, whimpering silently. Melanie kept on rubbing my back, telling me to calm down. But calming down is the least thing on my mind right now. I staggered out of the chair in an attempt to stand up. My head is blank and it feels like it is spinning on my neck.

"Are you okay?" Melanie demanded, she looked worried,I trudged a little towards the door, the only thing that occupied my mind right now was to leave this place.

"Melanie, can you please take her back to the mansion?" My mom whimpered from behind, her voice was faint. I can see her nodding before wrapping her hand around my waist. We both staggered to the door, she quickly opened the door and helped me out. I winced at  the bright lights. 

"Wait here, let me call Draven" Melanie yelled after me before running towards the waiting area.

I grimaced as my skin touched the cold wall, everything seemed  blurry as I stared into nothing in particular. My mom voice kept on echoing on my head at a monotonous tone. I suddenly feel dizzy, everything turning black gradually, before I could get my self. I dropped on the cold linoleum, and everything went blank.
