"So what do you plan on doing?"
"I'll go see what they want," Mia replied.
"Grandmother needs you Mia she has only a few months."
"Thats why I need to leave and find a cure to take care of her." She replied.
"Call me if you need anything." Addison her best friend spoke.
Sixteen-year-old mia Johns was abandoned as an infant by her biological mother who remarried and then left her in the care of her grandmother. When she turned sixteen, her mother came looking for her but for what reason?
Mia carried her black backpack and then got on her motorcycle heading to her mother's place.
Mia found Addison an orphan and then took her in to live with her grandmother at the age of five ever since Mia took care of her.
Mia parked her motorcycle and then walked in...
"Mum why is she here?" Chloe brooks asked...Mia's stepsister.
"She'll be living here for a while."
Mia sat down on the sofa folding her legs calmly...
"Have some manners." Mrs. Brooks replied.
"And why would I have some manners? After all, I was abandoned." Mia asked.
"Don't blame me for that." Mrs. Brooks replied. She never once liked Mia as she was extremely rebellious and arrogant.
"Get to the point Mrs. Brooks," Mia spoke twirling her phone.
"I called you here for one reason."
"That is?" She asked looking directly into her eyes.
"Marriage."
"Hahahaha..." Mia laughed hysterically "Mrs. Brooks you have the guts I see... who are you to talk to me about marriage."
"Your lucky that someone wants to marry someone as ugly and poor as you."
"At least an ugly duckling is wanted what about your beautiful daughter," Mia smirked.
"You...." Chloe brooks clenched her fists in anger. She had always hated Mia but in front of her mother, she had to pretend and play the role of a caring sister.
"I know you desperately want to cure your grandmother.....I have a way this way we both benefit."
"Speak," Mia replied arrogantly.
"Marry Mason Armani.....there is nothing he is not capable of."
Mason Armani was one of the most powerful people in country C.
"Fine deal," Mia replied unhurriedly.
"Where's my room?" She asked carrying her backpack.
"Second-floor first room to your left." Mrs. Brooks spoke.
Hearing that Mia walked upstairs and then walked into the bedroom...The room was bigger than her grandmother's place. She looked around for a while then lay down on the bed comfortably then dialed a number.
"So what do they want?" Addison's voice rang.
"Marriage proposal," Mia replied calmly.
"I knew that woman wanted something from you after all."
"So will you agree?"
"I already did."
"Whaaaat Mia are you out of your mind your just sixteen."
"I know."
"So why did you agree then?"
"Mason Armani."
"Whaaat Mason Armani? From the Armani family?"
"Yeah."
"I heard that he is so handsome and mysterious...why did you agree?"
"He's powerful."
"True."
"But I heard that he got into an accident three years ago ever since he was crippled."
"Thats why I agreed Mason doesn't help anyone unless he wants something in return."
"But you will marry him soon so it doesn't count."
"I don't like owing people favors."
"Fine....find the cure as soon as possible then we don't have much time."
"Mmmh."
Mia kept her phone aside and then slept.
_
"She agreed." Mrs. Brooks walked inside the study room. "Call the Armanis before she changes her mind." She continued. "Don't be too hard on her she is your daughter after all."
"A daughter I regret having.....plus do you want us to sacrifice Chloe instead?"
"I'll call the Armani." Mr. Brooks picked up the phone and then dialed a number.
The Brooks were an average family so their only way to enter the rich people's league as they all referred to was through the Armani and they wouldn't let that option slide but were they ready to sacrifice their lovely daughter for that? the answer was No.
_
The next morning, The brooks family and Mia rode towards the outskirts of Country C where the Armani family mansion was located. Mia wore black leather trousers and a baggy t-shirt.
"Couldn't you dress more appropriately you could have at least borrowed money if you couldn't afford a new dress?" Mrs. Brooks eyed her arrogantly.
"Yeah sister you could have come to me I have many new dresses," Chloe replied trying to show off.
"You see be more like your sister.." Mrs. Brooks spoke gently.
"Your so noisy," Mia replied.
She took out her headphones and then placed them on her head totally ignoring her.
"You see her attitude?" Mrs. Brooks spoke frustratedly.
"Mum it's okay just let her be don't be mad," Chloe spoke sweetly coaxing her.
"At least I have you." She replied looking at her gently.
The car stopped in front of the large Mansion...
"Don't embarrass me." Mrs. Brooks eyed Mia with cold eyes.
"Even if I don't embarrass you....you are already an embarrassment yourself." Mia mocked her.
"You....." Mrs. Brooks yelled angrily.
"Enough you two....behave yourself, Mia."
"Why would I listen to you if I can't even listen to her," Mia replied as she got out of the car and then walked towards the mansion.
"You stop there come back here we are not done." Mrs. Brooks shouted.
"Mrs. Brooks don't forget where you are this is not a place where you can just shout aimlessly." Mia continued walking towards the house with her hands in her pocket.
"Mum it's true to let her be after today she'll be on her own," Chloe spoke.
Mrs. Brooks finally calmed herself down when she heard that....she thought of the crippled Mason Armani and then smiled.
"True let's go." She spoke after a long sigh.
"Miss Brooks welcome." The butler spoke...
"It's Miss Johns," Mia replied nonchalantly walking past the butler.
"Ooh, Sorry Miss Johns."
"Mr. and Mrs. Brooks welcome.....Miss Brooks, please follow me."
They followed the butler to the Living room where the Armani family was waiting patiently.
