Chapter 36 Why Are You So Nice to Me?

It was finally two days before they were due to return. Sherry woke up as usual and did her hair in the bathroom. She didn’t know what the future had in stock of her and neither did Stark. Realising how gentle he was all this while made her shiver slightly as he kissed her goodnight just before going to sleep each night.

But soon, she would be home. She had to face the reality that she was still Anders’ wife and to deal with the tragedy that there might be no news of him for a long time. She couldn’t rely on just Stark’s promise that he would find him. And even if he did, then what? She had already given Stark her word that she would leave Anders and be with Stark in return for his help in locating the kidnappers.
