Chapter 28: The Council

I walked back to my Gotel. As I went to my door, I saw a message.

You're just another target

This feels amazing…

I got four clans and groups on my back. What am I going to do now? The next day, I went to the council. All I slipped in was a report. I knew that the council does not check the mailbox often. But, that was the least I could do. As I walk to the bar, A man comes up to me. "Hello! Want some free weapons? ", The man asked. I politely declined the offer. But, the man kept on following me. The man came up to my ear, " Want a trainer? ". I chuckled at the man's question.

" You train people? ", I asked

" Um…not anymore.", The man responded.

" I did train many mages, though. ", The man commented.

I sighed, " come with me, ".

" My names Xuro! ", The man said

I replied with my name as we continued walking to a private training area. Xuro told me to try to distract an old man he brought in. Xuro taught me distraction, He told me distraction is one of the easiest ways to win a fight. Xuro taught me about a move called, Magna-Shock. I then realize that this was the move that mage did on me.

Later, Me and Xuro got drunk and talked about our lives. Xuro was a farmer on Vivek for his early years. After, Xuro's father died in a J-thug encounter. Xuro wanted to learn how to fight. He would beat up J-thugs everyday. Eventually, He trained many mages in his own dojo. Unfortunately, the dojo went out of business due to bankruptcy. In the following years, Xuro hasn't really fought.

If I can learn Magna-Shock, This could be a strong change for me.
