A/N- I didn't mention it because I thought you could just google it but the Infinity Ingot is from the Avaritia Mod
*****
We spend the next few weeks studying the Infinity Ingot. It was more than just nearly indestructible and produced an enormous amount of energy but also had an affinity with pretty much anything as far as our tests went.
The Ingot was easily harder than Nuclear Paste, almost as hard as the compressed matter of a Black Hole, and its affinity to all things allowed it to grow even further once we properly processed it.
From the books we stole, we learned that they found this Ingot in the ruins of some ancient civilization that fell a long time ago yet the Ingot still retained its enormous energy and powered everything in the ruins.
Their research on the Infinity Ingot was all written down in their books, including an incomplete recipe for creating the Ingot. Although they only had an incomplete recipe, the things needed for just that were just too many, even after decades of mining they only got 3/4th of the materials needed.
Although we swore not to use our powers, our minds were still the same, making a few weeks of research equal to what they achieved in decades. Unlike them, we were able to recreate the complete recipe, which only confirmed to us that mining normally with just the two of us would take even longer.
If we do things normally, that is.
Anti-Spiral had taken a liking to Redstone constructs and other machinery, mainly because Redstone didn't take up whole blocks here and he could build on pixel-level size.
It spent the next few months building several machines that were going to mine for us, while I finished my research on the Golden Apple Tree. The tree looked very normal from the outside, except maybe being a bit taller, but if you were to cut the tree down, you would see that its wood was golden beneath its brown bark.
I was looking forward to seeing how this tree was going to look like when I took it with me outside and de-pixilated it, I was definitely making a garden just for these trees. There were even some handy tools that didn't require me to destroy the leaves to get the apples, allowing the apples to quickly regrow.
Despite me already being finished with my things, the mining was still going on in full process and I decided to use the unneeded materials to build us a new base on top of a mountain to pass the time.
By the time we had enough materials to make our first Ingot, I was done with building the gigantic Castle. We celebrated this small milestone by eating a freshly made Golden Apple Cake that I had specifically researched a recipe for, for this occasion.
Life was really enjoyable. Anti-spiral spent its time improving the machines, making new ones, and making sure they all ran smoothly, while I did some other stuff, like starting dabbling into alchemy. The rate at which we were getting materials was improving each day thanks to Anti-spirals work but the most important thing was that we were having fun.
We had long forgotten about the secret society that started all of this.
At some point, we gathered all the materials to craft our first equipment from the Infinity Ingots. We decided that a Pickaxe would make the most sense at this point, instantly making us lose 19 Infinity Ingots, 1 Crystal Matrix, and 7 neutronium Ingots but this investment was definitely worth it.
World Breaker was probably the only name worthy of this Pickaxe. While Anti-Spiral kept building and improving the mining machines, I was doing the work of at least the machines with just this tool.
At this point, we mined tens of millions of blocks at least and if this keeps going, we might have to relocate to an alternate universe. The resources needed we enormous and, in this universe, these precious materials were many times rarer than in the game.
If we used our powers, we might have been able to get everything we needed in a few days for a full set for both of us but we were here to have fun.
The Infinity armor will be strong enough to contend with my armor and I was so going to absorb the Infinity armor into it but having to actually do hard work to get the armor made the result feel a lot better, like it was earned.
