Beyond Limits - Male Saiyan Reader

After living in a world where his friends and family are mistreated because they're simply not good enough for the saiyan race, a saiyan, Y/n Cericson, strives to bring equality for all on Planet Vegeta as he trains to eventually overthrow the horrid system that has haunted and brought him no good. Will his adventure stop there, or will it become something more? Side note: This is an adaption, I do not own anything of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, or Dragon Ball Super.

Chapter 21

Y/n: Strength this, strength that. Honestly, I'm tired of everyone saying,

"No, I can't do it. He's stronger than me." Or if that's not the case, then. "But he's elite, he's a higher class/rank than me."

Amina: Who are you talking to?

Y/n: ...Myself.

Amina: Oh, ok. Nothing weird, others do it too.

Y/n: I guess. Just, frustrated.

Amina: Because of, Strength>Skill.

Y/n: Yeah. Even though-

Amina: Skill>Strength.

Y/n: Yep.

Amina: Others don't see it that way. Sadly.

Y/n: Because they-

Amina: Follow the system.

Y/n: Yeah, like mindless zombies.

Amina: No ones like you, that's why.

Y/n: What do you mean?

Amina: No one's willing to step up. Since we have classes-

Y/n: If we saiyans just, let go.

Amina: But then-

Y/n: I know, Strength>Skill. We just... we keep dragging around what's bringing us down. Everyone has-

Amina: The potential.

Y/n: 100%. The Vegeta family though. Throughout history, we've been told if you don't meet a certain battle power, your this. Then, if you're over it you're that.

They've been controlling everything to suit things their way, and to make sure they stay on top. The royal family always stays on top, and because of that system, no one bothers to overthrow the king. No one makes the change.

Amina: So, now it's time.

Y/n: Certainly. They may be strong, but, its time to show them we're not scared and that anything's possible. Even the slightest chance.

Amina: Well, Skips match is gonna start. You gonna watch.

Y/n: Yeah. Just, give me a sec.

You closed your eyes and put your head up to the sky. You thought calmly for a minute and returned to the others.

Y/n: What's happened so far.

Sage: Nothing yet. They're barely going to start the match.

Y/n: So I haven't missed anything yet?

Taz: Yep.

Y/n: Good I guess.

You sat down and looked out onto the ring where you could see the two fighters standing directly away from each other. They were about to start.

Ring Announcer: 3... 2... 1... GO!

Skip: Your gonna get it. HYA!

Skip dashed as anyone else would.

Kasenko: Just stop.

Skip came to a sudden pause.

Skip: What?

Kasenko: Your gonna lose regardless.

Y/n: I hate these type of people.

Skip: Who says that?

Kasenko: Don't you know the difference in power.

Skip: Doesn't matter, a wise, a friend told me that skill goes above strength.

Kasenko: I really have no business in fighting any of you. The king had me participate to beat that disrespectful low-class. I imagine he's that friend of yours that you were talking about.

Skip: Indeed, but he's no low-class. He's a middle, but he's far above in the tree. Reckon he's right behind Prince Vict-

Kasenko: Nonsense. Once I get to him, he won't get a chance to fight the first prince.

Skip: You really have no idea.

Kasenko: Just step down and let me do my job.

Sage: Is he a soldier for the saiyan army or a mercenary out to get you.

Y/n: I'd say both.

Skip: I won't step down.

Kasenko: Why protect him?

Skip: I'm doing this for my own sake. I wanna see if I have the small chance of beating you.

Kasenko: Such hope will be your downfall.

Skip: Let's just get this started.

Kasenko looks up to the balcony waiting for a signal.

King Vegeta: He's no threat, finish him.

Kasenko: HAA!

Skip: Is that?

Y/n: He went super saiyan!

Skip: A real warrior would fight me using his base form!

Kasenko powered down.

Skip: Let me show you what I can do.

Kasenko: Fine. If you don't impress, I'll defeat you once I've seen you fail.

Skip: Bring it on.

Y/n: That actually worked? Guess he isn't a one-minded freak after all.

Sage: Let's just hope he can take something out of this.

Skip: Hyah!

Skip went for a punch, it was blocked and Kasenko proceeded to throw him back to where he started his attack.

Kasenko: Try again.

Skip: Dick.

He went for a kick, but this time disappeared behind him to go for the elbow to his back. He succeeded.

Skip: Gotchya.

Kasenko: Surprising, but it won't be enough to get to the next round.

Skip: You're no fun.

Y/n: This looks depressing.

Neros: It's more of a training session than it is a fight.

Skip charged up to the max, he then went up high into the air. He charged up and let a barrage of ki out, he used this as a distraction as after he went for a punch. Kasenko had focused repelling them, that when he dodged the last ball, he didn't expect Skip to come after him. He shot with a right hook in which Kasenko recovered fast enough from, Skip then missed the left hook.

He countered and gave Skip a right hook of his own. Followed by a high knee to the face, and a kick to the stomach. When he got up Kasenko was waiting for him. After that, Skip dashed forward to let another barrage, of punches this time; he was gonna push Kasenko back. It was going for a while until Kasenko went for a kick, which was dodged.

Skip: Missed. HA.

He got him with a punch to the gut and threw him out of the ring.

Kasenko: That's not gonna be enough.

Kasenko floated back to the ring, but he was interrupted by a third barrage; once again one of ki.

Skip: Won't be let back in so easy!

Kasenko was ever so slowly getting back into the ring, but he had trouble from all the blast hitting him. When he landed onto the ring, Skip went for a punch. It was blocked by Kasenko who was now on the edge.

Skips Mind: I got him.

Skip: HA.

He kicked up to release Kasenko's hands from his own. He was now defenseless.

Skip: And you said I had no chance!

He went for the final blow.

Kasenko: Don't be so cocky. HA!

Skip: What!

Kasenko: You shouldn't have gotten ahead of yourself.

Kasenko powered up his base to his max.

Kasenko: Warm-ups are done.

Skip: HA!

He also powered up to the max.

They dashed and caused many impacts seen throughout the bout in the air. Skip, about 2/3's of Kasenko's power was handling himself well. He was going in smart, not just random punches but with tactics to trick or find openings. He got him several times and showed to be a challenge. Right then for a while until he kicked him down.

He went for punches, kicks, and blast. Kasenko was being pushed again, but this time it only lasted until he was 1/4 away from being out.

Kasenko: Enough!

He kicked Skip away.

Kasenko: Full power! HAA!

He went super saiyan.

Kasenko: Time to end this.

Another dash. They collided, but the power of a super saiyan couldn't be fathomed with. He was going to get beat for the next couple of minutes, Kasenko was already significantly stronger than Skip. Now, with a 50x multiplier.

Y/n: He's gonna need to pull off a show if he's gonna win.

Sage: No, I think he's lost already. Even if he does keep up, it's only going to be a matter of time until his defeat comes.

That came out to be the truth. Even though Skip went with everything he had gotten beaten, and when he didn't Kasenko would be playing around with him. Just giving him a little slight chance of hope until he showed him his true power.

Skip: God damn. Super saiyan packs a punch. Tch.

Skip was exhausted, he was struggling to get enough energy to continue.

Kasenko: Valiant effort, but you can't keep up with someone as strong as me. I'm just behind the royal family, the 4th strongest warrior beside Prince Victor, Prince Thomas, and of course... the almighty king himself.

Skip: You got it wrong man... I would say the... the 8th.

Kasenko: What?

Skip: First, Ceric; a low-class. Who is the father of the middle-class? He trained his son who is now the third-best. The middle-class that challenged the first prince. Y/n. Then, the king would probably be in the middle of them to make him stand second.

King Vegeta: Second! Behind a low-class! Pft... absurd.

Skip: Then, the first prince, Prince Victor. Following that, the two brothers of Y/n. Next, the second son of King Vegeta, Prince Thomas.

Kasenko: Then me.

Skip: Yeah... and oh... one more thing.

Kasenko: What?

Skip: This!

Skip punched Kasenko in the face, making him bleed from the left side of his lower lip.

Kasenko: That was... worthless. Agh-

He was kicked away by Skip.

Skip: HA!

Skip was dashing forward, looking for the slightest chance of what would be a win.

Skip: I can-

He was kneed in the stomach.

Skip: I can't do this.

Kasenko: All that effort.

Skip: Well, a friend told me. You gotta try, even though you know you're going to lose.

Skip looked at you, and Taz.

Kasenko: That middle-class will soon eat his words. He has no idea what it's going to be like when he faces up against a real challenge!

In the fighter's room.

Y/n: It's going to be the opposite. God, almost all the elites here think so much about their high rank and battle power.  Arrogant pieces of-

Amina: Language.

Y/n: I don't care. At some point, you've already heard the word; so it's pretty much fine to hear or say it after the first time.

Amina: It's really not.

Back to the match.

Kasenko: Why have so much faith in him?

Skip: Why do you say that?

Kasenko: Third on the list of strongest fighters? Ahead of Prince Victor? Near King Vegeta? and a low-class first?

In the distance.

Y/n: Names Ceric!

Kasenko: Even if the base powers are right, your missing one factor.

Skip: What?

Kasenko: Super saiyan.

Skip: What if I did account for that?

Kasenko: Too much talk for your friend, let's wait to see if it comes out to be true in the show!

With that, he gave the final blow, a large ki-blast. There was a big explosion, but most importantly; Skip got eliminated.

Ring Announcer: It's done! A lot of pausing for dialogue, but we have our winner. Known to be the strongest elite besides the royal family, Contestant Kasenko wins!

Round Four had finished for the group, quarterfinals now. Two Rounds left to finish till the big finale. The group had now been reduced to just the three brothers.

Sage, You, and Neros. The other five had ended their journey. Ever so close to getting the opportunity, to show everyone what the low can do. The only problem, would you intertwine with your brothers on the branch; or maybe even Victor early on in the quarter or semi-finals of the competition.

Fewer opponents; the higher the chances for certain destinies to collide.

Y/n: Round Five, I'm ready for you. Victor, I'm coming your way. Soon.
