Beyond Limits - Male Saiyan Reader

After living in a world where his friends and family are mistreated because they're simply not good enough for the saiyan race, a saiyan, Y/n Cericson, strives to bring equality for all on Planet Vegeta as he trains to eventually overthrow the horrid system that has haunted and brought him no good. Will his adventure stop there, or will it become something more? Side note: This is an adaption, I do not own anything of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, or Dragon Ball Super.

Chapter 12

A few matches have passed, and it's now Neros's turn. He is up against Hoffs, a saiyan way shorter than Zorb but a little taller than Neros. He's a skinny guy with brown and tall but spiky hair.

Like the Zorb, an elite, he was wearing an advanced version of the regular sayian armor, but his was blue. Meanwhile, Neros was still wearing his regular clothes (can see in Page 1).

I stopped him before he could get out of the fighters wait room.

Y/n: Finish quickly, no need to waste your energy on him.

Neros: Got it, but, I'm gonna play a few games.

Y/n: Even better.

You go look from afar, and Sage comes over to ask you a question.

Sage: What'd you tell him?

Y/n: Make it fast and easy, no need to waste energy throughout the first few rounds.

Sage: When do you think we should try? Quarter? Maybe Semis?

Y/n: Don't know, but around there.

You look up onto the ring where you can see that the fight was about to begin.

Ring Announcer: Start in 3... 2... 1... Go!

Hoffs was quick as he caught Neros by surprise, hitting straight on the face. Hoffs grinned but he wished he didn't. Soon after, Neros went for a punch of his own and then hit a flying Hoffs in the stomach. He then proceeded to go with a roundhouse kick to the face, knocking Hoffs out of the arena winning by ring out.

Ring Announcer: Contestant Neros wins by ring out!

Y/n: Could've done better.

Sage: He paid too much attention to how strong he was, thus Hoffs was able to catch him off guard, but it doesn't matter.

Y/n: Still won... good.

Neros came back to the fighter's room.

Y/n: I thought you were gonna play around with him.

Neros: Changed my mind.

You laughed a little and waited till it someone in the group had fought. Skip was next, he struggled a bit but made it through to the next round; same as Kore, and May.

After a few fights, it was Sage's turn, he said he wouldn't wait for the opponent to attack. He was gonna end it right away.

Ring Announcer: Alright folks our next contest is between the swift and fancy fighter Tye Mont, and Sage!

Y/n: Wow... nothing to add for Sage.

Neros: Cause were lower class, remember, if you're middle your still no elite.

At the ring.

Tye Mont: Hey Middle-class.

Sage: Yeah what is it?

Tye Mont: Look we both know I'll win so no point in fighting so just go back into that cave you came from. You don't want any of this.

Y/n: Oh just finish him.

Sags: Yeah your right. I don't want any of you, in fact, I don't want to go near you.

Tye Mont: Excuse-... Gaagh.

Tye Mont flew across the ring getting eliminated. Sage punched him but it wasn't an ordinary punch, just before he attacked he went super saiyan which increased the strength of the hit by 50x. No one saw this but you and Neros.

Neros: That must've hurt.

Y/n: Yeah, that was a super saiyan punch.

Ring Announcer: Contestant Sage wins by a ring out finish.

Sage comes back, and you wait for the matches that come. You end up impressed and happy that Amina and Liz held their own with their opponents.

Sure they were also mid-class opponents but they seemed to have held up well. Especially Liz with her gadgets which have somehow gone unnoticed.

The penultimate match was between Taz and Potus. Potus was tall and muscular with hair that was slicked forward instead of back. He also wore an outfit similar to that of Zorbs.

The thing was, it looked like it was the end for Taz. He barely survived the battle royal so it was going to be a lot to take from the pressure and the fact that Taz didn't really have much of a technique.

He would go for the hit when possible but struggled when it came to defending.

Ring Announcer: Now this is the penultimate match of Round One before we once again, start the draw for Round Two. Here we have Potus and Taz. Taz who surprised everyone with his tremendous power up to bring himself to the Top 150. Now, let's get this underway in 3... 2... 1... Go!

They dashed at each other and began to fight. Potus quickly disappearing behind Taz to get an early lead in this matchup. He kicked Taz away starting his combo, punch up, kick back down, and slam. Taz was now struggling to get out of Potus's grasp, but he eventually kicked him away and sent a barrage of many ki-blast.

Taz: Take this!

Potus: Runt!

Potus came dashing going for a high knee but it was stopped by the crossed arms of Taz. Throughout the fight, it was obviously seen that Potus had outmatched Taz. Even though he was putting up a valiant effort he wasn't gonna last long.

Neros: I don't think he's going to last much longer.

Y/n: Come on, hold on.

Kore: A senzu bean won't be enough either.

Skip: He's done for.

Moments later Taz went on the offensive but was stopped with a ki- blast hitting him on the face.

Taz: Ah... dammit.

Potus: You're done for! Haa-... uh.

Potus fell onto the floor and didn't get back up.

Ring Announcer: Um... I guess... Taz wins. Knockout.

Everyone was confused, he just fell to the floor.

Sage: He won.

Kore: How?

Neros: Y/n.

Kore/Skip: What?

Sage: Wait, he's... well then.

The reason Taz won was that you went super saiyan and quickly flew to his aid. When the time was right you teleported in front of Potus, and punched him in the kidney, giving Taz the win.

You would have let him stay eliminated but you thought this was needed to be done. It was like a statement, further proving that a low-class, Taz, can beat an elite, Potus.

Soon after he came back to the fighter's room, tired and wounded.

You pulled a senzu out of your pocket and tossed it at him.

Taz: Why'd you help me?

Y/n: I didn't. You beat him yourself... a low-class bested the elite.

He looked at you for a moment but then smiled and nodded. After that he got up from the bench he was sitting on and ate the senzu bean.

Y/n: I'll show you, Victor. What it means to underestimate your opponent. I'll show you what it means to be a real martial artist.
