Faith in an uncanny being

"Do you wanna see mother?"

She looked up at the creature with so much hope in her tear-filled eyes. The creature made a few noises, lowering its head towards Oriya, it's beak almost touching her forehead. The people looked at them and then at each other. Whatever was happening before their eyes was flying above their heads.

"Come," She wiped her eyes with the back of her sleeves as she turned towards the cottage whilst still holding the feathers of the creature in her hands. She looked like a small child holding the hem of her mother's gown out of the fear of getting lost.

"We'll need to break the door first." Hellion said as he saw them coming.

"You don't need to," Oriya stepped further and kept pulling the creature behind her. "This is just a barrier that separates the insides from the eyes of the outsiders. It's not actually a cottage."
