Heartbeat

As I make my way to the cafe, I realize just how little I actually get out of my apartment. I mean, I hang out with my friends every now and again but they usually pick me up and drop me off home. So actually walking to a destination is a relatively new experience for me. I never knew how many people lived in the area. It's 9 a.m. and I have already passed hundreds of people doing the same as me.

That cafe should be around here somewhere. I know I havn't passed it. My phone tells me just up ahead.

When I arrive at the cafe i'm a little let down. I figured it would be bustling with people, making it hard to find a table, let alone a computer. But theres no one here. Maybe it's closed for the day? But the sign says open. Well I guess i'll go in and have a coffee. I didn't walk all the way here just to turn around and walk home.

When I open the door to the cafe, I can see. why no one would walk in. It's near pitch black inside. That would prevent nearly anyone from coming in. Not me though.

"Hello" I shouted with a tone that came out a little bit aggressive. As I step in further towards the front counter the lights come on scaring me a little. A person behind the counter stands up, almost like out of a horror movie. "Holy shit" I yell in surprise. The woman in front of me jumps back in surprise as well.

"How did you get in here" she says with a slighlty angry tone. "The door was open" I say to her in a pleadingly sorry tone. I angle my hands together, bowing and apologize to her. That's when I got a real good look at her. Eyes, a piercing deep blue that stunned me in my tracks. Her hair was a light violet color that went down to her shoulders. She was built like a athlete. A dipiction of something perfectly beautiful.

"We don't open for another hour" she said to me as I stared at her with my mouth agape. "I'm sorry" I replied as a went to head to the door. "Why don't you have a coffee since tou are here" she said with a smile. A different tone to her than before. "Just give me a second to put on some proper clothes. These training clothes aren't my normal attire". I walked over to a empty table and sat down. Waiting for her to come back out. The longest 5 minutes of my life I would say.
