Crimson Leaf Cafe.
That afternoon, the cafe was not very busy. Abigail noticed that Lana seemed to be enjoying a conversation with Erica, and only a few tables were occupied. Robby, one of the staff members, was cleaning a table without hurry.
When Lana finally saw Abigail enter the cafe, she looked surprised.
Abigail greeted them playfully but didn't stop at the counter to chit-chat as she used to, even though she had more time now she had come earlier; instead, she headed to the locker room to put away her bag. She was ready to help Lana if needed.
"Oh my God, Abigail, why did you come so early?" Lana asked as she followed her into the staff lounge, leaning against the door frame. She continued, "We're not that busy at these hours, girl. There's no need to hurry."
After tying her apron and styling her hair into a ponytail, Abigail turned to look at Lana.
