In which Aoi Todo's slice of life bromance comedy fantasy induced by discovering Itadori Yuuji's taste in women is... In fact. Not a fantasy. But Reality. And so... Upon completing Middle School on a good note. By Winning the Middle School Baseball Nationals with Itadori. (Itadori does not deny this) They are excited at their admission to the best high school in Japan. Recognized across the world for its excellence. Providing a 100% entry rate into colleges as well as employment rate to those who graduate. The Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School. They find themselves coincidentally both admitted to Class 1-D. And from there... Chaos ensues. (This is Purely Itadori And Todo in COTE. No Cursed Energy or other Crossover Characters. Just pure Besto Furendo Goodness) -------------------------------- I own nothing at all. Nada zilch nothing! I am also a slave to my impulses and decided to write this for the fun of it. Todo here is de-aged to be in Itadori's age group and class. Don't expect the both of them to jump someone on the daily. This is a highschool slice of life typa shit. There might be some jumping, but that'll be, you know, a dime a dozen depending on the situation. There you go! Enjoy, hopefully lol.

Orientation

-Story Start-

-Third Person POV-

The spacious Gymnasium of the Advanced Nurturing High School was as extravagant as expected.

Polished, cleaned, and set up with state-of-the-art equipment etc...

There, numbering over a hundred students, gathered the new 1st years.

Huddled together as they stood before a podium, awaiting the start of Orientation.

As students were huddled, it was no surprise the more outgoing bunch were making idle conversation, that may, or may not, blossom into a friendship in the near future.

At a minimum, perhaps a nice pastime and acquaintanceship as they awaited for the event to start.

Talks of this nature floated around the noisy gymnasium:

"Wow, this school is much bigger than I thought!"

"I know right!? There are so many pretty boys around here!"

No, she was not talking about Aoi.

"Damn dude, there's so many cute girls here. Man, I am so glad to have been accepted here!"

"No one in their right mind would date you."

"Shut up dumbass."

Our ragtag duo weren't exempt from attendance.

The uniformed giant figure of Aoi towered over the other students, as his arms were folded and a stoic expression plastered on his face.

He stood straight, a powerful aura radiating from his sheer charisma.

Some would even describe him, as, a regal figure.

Note: No one describes him as such.

Extra Note: The Aura can only be seen with the usage of "Todo Lens™"

Yuuji, in turn, was a stark contrast to his allegedly regal best friend.

Shoulder's slumped, bored expression, the works.

Yuuji bemoaned, "We've been standing here for ten minutes... Let's leave." He confirmed.

Aoi's figure:

Being a 6'3 behemoth of a specimen, he had an eagle's eye view of the whole gymnasium.

A clear advantage over his 5'8 pink haired buddy.

With his outstanding processing power, Aoi quickly scrutinized all the individuals in the gymnasium in just a few seconds.

Over a hundred individuals.

Noting a particular new entree making their way to the podium from afar.

"At ease, my friend. We are not to dally around any longer." Aoi lifted a finger and smirked at Yuuji.

Yuuji, in tune with Aoi most of the time, believed the man, "Oh... Finally."

Like a self-fulfilling prophecy, Aoi's words rang true, as a Student Council Member, a short purple bun-haired girl, announced:

"Now, 1st year students. A few welcome words from the current Student Council President!" The girl smiled and gestured for the new entree, a glasses-donning well-built man approached the microphone.

Murmurs and talks had not ceased, even with the appearance of the Student Council President.

Yuuji asked Aoi, out of innocent curiosity, "How did you know he's the Student Council President?"

Clicking his fingers at Yuuji, Aoi replied confidently, "The Student Council Member's uniforms have a small tag attached to their left breast pocket. I took note of it from the first girl that directed us here, and with the short girl over there, I had confirmed the pattern."

A moment passed, and Yuuji deadpanned, "So, were you really observing, or just... Observing?"

Aoi smirked, "Observing is all about details, my friend. You know that. My taste has not changed since the day we met, after all."

Yuuji pressed forward, "Uh-huh, sure. Just keep your observations... Appropriate, bro."

Aoi shook his head, lecturing, "My friend, observing those around you is important. Little details can tell you a lot about a person. A sense of their worth-"

"That's not what I meant..." Yuuji mumbled quickly.

Aoi's rant was seemingly cut short by the Student Council President's words, "I am the Student Council President, Horikita Manabu."

Perhaps it was his stern tone, calm and patient tone, maybe charisma.

But whatever it was, all talks had ceased once Horikita Manabu opened his mouth.

"As a representative of the upper classes, I would like to extend words of welcome to our newest students."

As if it was the minimum respect required, for he was a man worth listening to-

Aoi didn't seem to care, as he continued, "Anyways. Once you know their worth, you can-"

Yuuji nudged him sharply, whispering, "Aoi, keep it down! We're getting looks!" He placed a finger on his mouth.

Aoi blinked, as he hummed.

His eyes quickly turned to take in all the odd glances that varied in emotion, directed at him and Yuuji.

A couple chuckled, and a few laughed.

While others had a look of pity:

"Is this guy stupid?"

"All brawn no brain?"

"Umu, Umu, Gotta respect the lack of shame."

Even the Student Council President and his peers stared at him, President Horikita ceasing his speech at the disturbance, merely directing a neutral look at Aoi.

Thanks to President Horikita's capability of silencing the whole crowd of over a hundred students.

Even one speaking audibly, would ring out and be heard clearly.

"First year! Keep quiet when President Horikita is speaking!" The purple-haired short girl squeaked her authority, sternly chastising Aoi.

...

'Chihuahua.' Aoi confirmed humorlessly in his inner voice.

Immediately associated the girl with a fitting image.

Nodding, Aoi closed his eyes with his arms folded, "I see. We shall continue this later, Yuuji."

Aoi, either through pride or through skewed values, didn't seem keen on apologizing whatsoever.

Yuuji had a gobsmacked expression as he deflated, 'There goes our first impressions...'

He even caught the girl they met on the bus, looking at them in pity.

He could read the words she uttered silently through her lips, "Hang in there! Itadori-kun!"

'Thank you! Kushida-san! I am trying my best!' He cried out in his heart.

As if sensing Yuuji's internal turmoil (He didn't), President Horikita coughed attention back to himself.

"Ahem, as I believe you know, our school is highly accomplished in all aspects and boasts a high employment and college entry rate. This is the pride of our school, accomplished through the hard work of both our graduating students and those still attending, teachers included."

His eyes turned to all the attending students, his eyes fixed for a moment at the interloper known as Aoi Todo, "We expect the same from the new students." He emphasized.

Leaning forward on the podium he declared, "Everything is decided and evaluated on merit. Keep that in mind going forward in your academic pursuits and otherwise in the school."

Some of the more keen individuals had taken his words at face value, while others waved it off as a cliche entrance ceremony.

Leaning back and straightening himself, President Horikita concluded the orientation, "We wish you a productive and successful year. You are to head to your respective classes within the hour. Your first homeroom is vital and should not be missed. That will be all." He bowed.

Upon completion of his speech and dismissal, the reverberating sounds of clapping echoed in the spacious gymnasium.

Yuuji among the many who clapped, smiled, presenting Aoi his observation of the man, "The President's pretty cool! Like, cold, stern, and mysterious typa cool."

Stroking his chin, Aoi nodded, "He has the quality fit for authority, however, I fear our senior lacks flexibility." He listed his own surface observations of the Student Council President.

Narrowing his eyes, as the echoes of footsteps overtook the gymnasium, students leaving in swarms in order to reach their classes.

Aoi's eyes followed the departing students, "Did you catch that part about everything being decided by merit? Sounds like this place is going to be interesting. Stay sharp, Yuuji." A smirk formed on Aoi.

Yuuji had already taken a couple of steps forward as he turned to Aoi, gesturing with his hand to follow, "It's a school dude! You're overthinking it! The most interesting and fun stuff we'll get is either in the Gym or some Club... Speaking of clubs, which club are we attending this time?"

'Studies and Interesting do NOT go hand in hand.' Yuuji nodded to himself.

Note: For once, Todo Aoi wasn't overthinking it.

Extra Note: Probably.

As they strolled back to the larger School Complex, a sense of anticipation hung in the air.

Homeroom was just the beginning, and Todo Aoi couldn't shake the feeling that something significant awaited them in Class 1-D and this school as a whole.

As for Itadori Yuuji himself?

Blissfully Clueless always was his middle name.

Another question I'll answer real quick.

Yes, Todo here will have his Canon IQ.

And yes, he is an Academic Weapon. Getting A+ across the board and stuff.

So don't worry about that.

He will also has his Delusional Fantasies Power at max capacity.

So don't worry.

Takada Consultations will be happening lmao.

As for reasons why Yuuji and Todo got admitted to Class D.

Except for plot reasons, there are plenty of excuses to throw them there.

Realistically, Todo is Class C or D.

Because of his Attitude.

Yuuji though?

Except being a dum dum and naive.

He could even be Class B material.

But they're Class D cause why the f not.

That is all!

Cya next chappie!
