Chapter Fourteen: Pieces
A loud banging sound scared me awake.
Panic went through me, I was in a dark room, and for a minute I forgot where I was.
"Ren?"
I was quick to sit up to look behind me.
Michael rubbed at his eyes with the hand that was around me.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
I wasn't sure yet.
He sat up to look at me, and there was another loud bang.
"What the fuck?" Michael hissed.
"What was that?" I asked.
He pointed to the room next to us.
The next sound was a gasp, followed by a loud moan.
"Oh god," I whispered, "Are they?"
He was quick to lay back, "That's exactly what they're doing."
It was definitely awkward, but I wondered how all that made him feel.
Did it still bother him?
My gaze went down to him, and he was lying on his back, staring up at the ceiling.
I knew it was probably a bad idea, but I turned over so that I could lay my head on his chest.
His skin was warm against my face.
Wait, when did he take his shirt off?
He took a deep breath, and there was another loud bang.
"Jesus," he said, "Can't they just give it a rest?"
"What time is it?" I asked him.
"I don't know," he said.
He moved a little, and I realized he pulled his phone out to check the time.
The bright screen burned my eyes, but it said clearly 3:46 AM.
"Well, it looks like I'm driving tomorrow," he sighed before tossing his phone onto the floor.
"What if I accidentally step on that tomorrow?" I asked.
"Shit happens," he stated.
"I guess," I mumbled.
A shout came from the next room, and I knew this shit needed to end.
I sat up quickly, but Michael stopped me before I could do anything else.
"Leave it alone," he said.
I had to look away from him if I was going to ask what's been eating at me.
I spoke before I even thought about it.
"Doesn't it bother you?" I asked.
"Should it?" he asked as if it really didn't bother him.
I don't know," I admitted.
He sat up, "It clearly bothers you."
I made a face, even though I was pretty sure he couldn't see it.
"It's keeping me awake," I said, "Didn't they wake you up?"
"You woke me up," he stated.
I suddenly felt bad, but it wasn't like I could help it. They scared me awake.
Though, I was a little embarrassed now.
I rolled over to face the fan again and pulled the blanket back over me.
Sleep over there, that way I won't wake you up again.
It would probably help if I actually said it out loud.
"Why are you all the way over there?" Michael asked.
Was it just me, or did he sound irritated?
"I can't wake you up if you aren't near me," I stated.
Yeah, I was irritated. Though I don't really have a good reason to be.
"Do we always have to fight?"
That was kind of funny coming from him.
"We're not fighting," I said, "I asked you a question, and this is the simple solution."
"You ask a lot of questions," he said, "But you never ask the right ones."
Damn it, I was tired, and this was just so damn stupid.
"Go to sleep," I frowned.
Another loud bang made me flinch.
"God damn it," he growled.
He got to his feet and went to the adjoining door.
"Michael," I gasped, "Leave them alone."
He ignored me as he knocked on the door.
I could hear muffled voices on the other side before the door opened quickly.
"Ren?" it was Benny.
"No," Michael said, irritated, "We're trying to sleep. Tell Gus to go take a cold shower."
"Why don't you go take a cold shower," Gus laughed from the other side of the door.
"I'm not the one with restless dick syndrome right now," Michael retorted.
That was an excellent comeback. Well, at least it would be if it didn't come from Michael.
"Right," Gus said, "Just put in some headphones or something."
"I didn't bring any," he said before looking at me, "Ren, did you bring any?"
"Don't wake her up," Benny hissed.
"You woke her up," Michael said, "And she woke me up."
Way to throw me under the bus. What a dick.
I told him not to bother them after he told me not to bother them.
Benny peeked in, and even I was surprised that she was only wearing a sheet.
"Ren?" she asked.
I just wanted to hide under the blanket.
"Are you awake?" she asked.
"No," I said.
"Shit," she frowned, "I'm so sorry."
She made a face, and I could see her guilt.
I had no idea how to handle this.
Slowly I found myself sitting up to look at her.
She looked mortified.
"Get out," Michael said.
I looked over at him, and he looked tired. He rubbed his eye instead of really trying to put up a fight.
"I'm trying to talk to Ren," Benny hissed at him.
"Ren is tired," I stated, "Just try to not be so loud."
Her expression changed. She looked like one of her fears came true.
"I'm so sorry," she said.
"Benny," I said, "It's okay."
She didn't look like she believed me.
"Benny?" I asked.
"Yeah?" she responded, a little unsure.
"You know how crazy I am when I wake up," I said, "I don't handle loud sounds when I'm sleeping very well."
She didn't say anything, she just stared at me.
"Benny," I said, "Go to sleep, both of you, all of you."
"Forgive me?" she asked.
On instinct, my gaze went to Michael, and he looked back at me with a surprised look on his face.
I sighed. I didn't want to say what I always did. This thing I have here with them is far more important than what I used to have back home.
I smiled, "There is nothing to be sorry for."
She looked confused, "Really?"
"Duh," I found myself smiling painfully wide, "There is a very good chance you'll be on the receiving end in the future."
She gasped before grinning, "You pervy virgin you."
I shrugged, "If Gus wasn't so rough, I don't think any of us would be having this conversation right now."
Benny laughed, but both of the boys looked awkward.
"I told you," I said, "You guys are fine."
Benny stood up and moved forward to hug me, and I couldn't help but laugh.
She stumbled a little, and her sheet almost fell, but she made it to my side just fine.
I hugged her back.
"Have I told you that I loved you, Ren?" she asked me.
Her words hit me harder than I think she intended them to.
"I love you too," I said, giving her a hard squeeze before releasing her.
"What about me?" Gus asked.
I turned to grin at him.
"Of course, I love you," Benny said.
He made a pouty face, "I meant Ren."
"Oh?" Benny asked with a smile.
She tried to be mad, but she couldn't.
"Don't worry, Gus," Michael said, "I think Benny loves you enough for two."
"Ouch," Benny said.
"I love you too, Gus," I said.
Gus had this dorky grin, "I love you too."
"Damn right you do," Benny said, "Now we need to leave, quietly."
I think everyone caught her hint.
"Later guys," Gus said quickly before vacating.
Benny wasn't too far behind.
Michael shut the door and locked it. He shook his head and sighed.
"Well, that happened a lot different than I thought," I said.
"Yeah," Michael said.
I watched him walk around the bed before lying back in the same spot in the same position he was in before he got up.
He laid there a minute before I finally moved to place my head on his chest again.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" Michael asked.
I ignored him. I moved in closer to his side, and I moved my hand over his stomach to rest on his side.
He took a deep breath, "Am I going to have to tell you to keep your hands to yourself?"
I smiled a little to myself, "Goodnight."
"Goodnight," he said back.
I laid there trying to fall asleep, but this time it didn't come so easy.
Based on Michael's still uneven breath, I would assume he too was still awake.
"Can't sleep?" I asked.
"Nope," he sighed.
I pat his side, "You were feeling left out earlier, weren't you?"
"What?" he asked with a small laugh.
"Everybody was loving everybody," I said, "But you were left out."
"Trust me," he said, "I was not bothered."
"Pants on fire," I said.
"Fine," he said, "Think what you want."
I readjusted my head on his chest, "You know we love you too."
His breathing stopped for a second, "We?"
"You know what I mean," I said.
That sort of slipped out, but he had to know that I cared about him too.
"Yeah, I know," he said.
Part of me hoped he would say something too, but then again, I think that would be a little too selfish of me.
I've already asked too much of him tonight.
I felt tired now, and I let sleep take me.
++++++++++
The sound of banging woke me up, and I wanted to scream.
Though I settled for a growl.
"I really hope you're dreaming," I heard a groggy voice.
"I was," I yawned against his chest.
"Are they really trying to wake us up?" he asked.
The loud knocking made me frown.
"I'm not getting up," he said.
"Neither am I," I said.
I could hear muffled voices on the other side, then a door slam.
"Do you think they're alright?" I asked.
"Yeah," he said before taking a deep breath, making my head rise with his chest.
It didn't even take much longer for there to be a loud knock on the actual room door.
"They're fucking kidding, right?" Michael groaned.
I couldn't help but laugh.
There was a beeping sound before the door opened.
"You guys are still sleeping?" It was Gus who asked.
I didn't have to see to know that the next sound was him unlocking the adjoining door to let Benny into the room.
"Are they up?" she asked.
"They're still in bed," Gus said.
I could hear her storm into the room.
"Get up!" she shouted, "We need to start heading back."
"Why?" I asked.
Though I was pretty sure my brain was on sleep mode, so I forgot about everything else.
"It's getting late," Gus said, "If we want to get back on time, we need to leave within the next half hour."
I glanced up at Michael to see if he was ready to get up or not.
"Give us a minute," Michael said.
"Ren, your stuff is still in the other room," she said.
"Bring me something," I said, "You pick it, I'll wear it."
I could hear her girly excitement. Why did I have a feeling that I would regret telling her to pick something out for me?
The door shut when they went back to the other room, and they were lucky that we didn't just lock it again.
I sat up, even though it was the last thing I wanted to do.
My stomach felt a little miserable, but I was pretty much fine.
I looked down at Michael to see if he was going to get ready, but he was just lying there with his eyes closed.
"We need to get up," I said, poking him in the cheek, "Rise and shine."
He opened his eyes to glare at me, and I just laughed.
"Get up, princess," I said.
"Know now, that I am too tired to be insulted," he said before sitting up.
"That's a shame," I said, "I wanted you to be insulted."
He turned his head to look at me, "How are you feeling?"
I shrugged, "My stomach is a little stupid, but I'm okay. What about you?"
"I'm good," he said.
The door opened again, and Benny was holding a small pile of clothes in her hands.
"I wanted to put you in that dress," she said, "But it's not the right time for that."
I was actually grateful. I was too tired to try to look good in it.
"Thank you," I said.
She set the clothes down on the bed next to me before walking out again.
"Hurry up now," she said before she shut the door.
"I hate being rushed," Michael stated, "It takes the fun out of everything."
"Except a race," I stated.
He turned to glare at me.
I couldn't stop the grin from forming on my face.
It was funny. He needed to lighten up.
"It's true," I stated.
"Maybe," he said.
I had to crawl to the edge of the bed where my clothes were to look at them.
I frowned a little at the dark gray cloth. I had thought it looked like she was barely holding anything in her hands, but this was less than that.
It was a one-piece shirt and shorts outfit. A romper. Of course, it was mine, but I didn't really expect to wear it.
Damn it.
Under it was a pair of shorts that had lace at the top and bottom. So, lace at the waist, and lace on each leg. They made it possible for me to wear the romper.
Dark gray flats were underneath it all.
Alright, this was happening.
I put my legs over the side so that my feet touched the floor. I slid my shorts off and just let them sit on the floor while I replaced them with the lace pair. Shortly after, I pulled the one-piece on.
I could hear Michael behind me digging through his own bag.
I pulled my arms into the nightgown, and I used it to cover me while I pulled the rest of the outfit on. The thin straps already made me feel self-conscious, but at least with the lace shorts, it was long enough not to show anything.
Now that I thought about it, Benny didn't bring me a bra.
Damn it, I would have to go in there and get one.
I hesitated, I wanted to make sure Michael wasn't naked before I just started to open doors.
"Are you decent?" I asked, turning to look at him.
His back was to me, and I watched as he pulled on a white shirt. Even though I didn't mean to, my eyes focused on the large burn on his shoulder. It was covered when he pulled the shirt over his head.
Who did that to him? Was he in an accident? My mind went back to the scar on the side of his head.
The only other one I was clearly able to get a good look at.
Just how many scars did he have?
"Why?" he asked.
"I was going to open the door," I said, "I have to get something from the other room."
"Go ahead," he said before sitting down on the bed.
My gaze lingered on the back of his left shoulder, where I saw the burn. I would wonder about it even if I didn't want to.
I was quick to go to the adjoining door, and I knocked.
"Come in," Benny called.
I pulled the door open, and she was grinning at me, but it faded when she saw that I was still wearing my nightgown.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
"You forgot something," I said, "Where is the bag?"
"Gus put it in the car," she said "Why? What did I forget?"
I smiled, even though the look on my face was clearly irritated, "My bra."
She laughed, "I didn't forget that, I just didn't bring you one."
"Well, can I have the keys so I can go get one?"
"Ren," she said, "What do you need a bra for?"
I can't believe we were having this conversation.
Michael walked into the room behind me with his bag in his hand, "Where are my keys?"
"Gus has them," she said, gesturing to the bathroom.
Michael put the bag on the bed before walking over to the bathroom.
"What's the worst that can happen?" Benny asked, "You blind somebody with your headlights."
I had to sigh this time. Was this an unwinnable argument?
Michael walked out, and I could hear the keys in his hands.
That was how I could get my bra, I didn't need to keep asking Benny.
"Michael, don't let that girl near the trunk," Benny said.
I had to gasp. What the hell was she doing?"
He stopped to look at us.
"You're wearing it, right?" she asked, "Let me see."
"No," I hissed.
"Why am I keeping her out of the trunk?" Michael asked with barely any real interest.
"She claims to need a bra," Benny said, "But I think with the outfit she's wearing, a bra is not necessary."
Did she enjoy tormenting me?
Michael looked at me, "What is she talking about?"
I pulled the big shirt up a little to show him the one-piece outfit.
"Let me see," Benny said, "Take the shirt off."
I refused.
When I watched her stand up, fear ran through me.
"What are you doing?" I asked suspiciously.
She moved around the bed faster than I expected. She pulled at the cloth covering me, and it took all my strength to try and keep it on.
"What is going on out here?" Gus asked, confused.
It was a momentary distraction, which cost me the battle, and my nightgown.
My hands went up to cover my breasts because it was cold, and I didn't feel like reliving that last conversation I had with Michael about it.
"Don't get me wrong," Gus said, "I enjoy two women fighting and removing clothes, but what's going on?"
"Benny is withholding Ren's bra," Michael stated.
"It's too early," Gus said, shaking his head.
"This can end if Ren just shows me the outfit," Benny said.
We both knew that wasn't true, because she wouldn't let me get my bra even if I did show her.
Right now, I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue this argument at all. If she wanted to deny me my bra, I would ask someone for a shirt to wear over, or I would just wear my pajama shirt for the rest of the day.
"Come on, Ren," she said with an evil grin.
"Benny," I said, "If you wanted to see them, you just had to ask."
I knew instantly that the boys were suddenly interested in our conversation.
"That easy?" Benny asked, slowly walking over, "I want to see them."
She met my eyes, and I knew she knew what I was doing.
I slowly moved my hands to show her the top, and she was quick to nod.
"You were totally right," Benny said, "You need a bra."
I was surprised that she agreed with me, but she kept that evil grin on her face.
Uh-oh.
"You still don't get one," she said.
I couldn't help but frown, "But you agreed with me!"
"I know I did," she said, "But you need some male attention."
I didn't know what to make of her words, but she said it with both Michael and Gus right next to us.
She glanced back at them before pulling me into the other room.
So she didn't realize she said it loud enough for them to hear?
"Maybe we need to give up on the idea of hooking you up with Michael," she sighed, "Nothing has happened, so I doubt anything will."
Only if she knew.
"If you're trying to get me some attention," I said, "Why are you doing this to me when no one will actually see?"
She looked like she really had to think about it, but in the end, she shrugged, "What's done is done."
I gasped, "You bitch!"
She grinned at me.
"Plus, I heard from Gus that one of Michael's friends has his eyes on you."
I made a face. What friend? Why am I only hearing about this now?
"Besides," she said, "My cousin should be here later tonight, maybe I could introduce you two?"
Wasn't he the one that hit a girl? I was not interested.
"Maybe not," I said, feeling a little guilty.
She shrugged, "It's up to you, I just want to get you laid."
I let out a sigh.
"I won't rush you," she said before she put her arm around my shoulders.
From what I heard about her cousin, he was a real dick.
Besides, if it were up to me, I would have already been laid. My gaze drifts to the adjoining door.
After all the crap that happened yesterday with Benny's mom, and then after with Michael, I had no idea why I was in such a great mood.
Benny withholding a bra didn't help very much.
She smiled wide at me, "You ready to hit the road?"
I was quick to nod.
She definitely looked ready.
She looked like she was ready to workout.
She wore gray shorts that had a built-in tighter pair, I could see her phone in the pocket from here. The sports bra she wore matched the shorts.
It was her white tank top that had me.
'The invention of the word boob.' It used the word to show how breasts looked from the side, the front, and from above.
Her usual Converse shoes were on her feet.
"Alright," she roared, "Let's get this show on the road!"
She was the first one through the door, but I was quick to make a run-through of the bathroom and the room to make sure we didn't forget anything.
Teeth brushed, yes. Hair brushed, yes.
Once I was positive we didn't leave anything, I went through the adjoining door.
Michael stood by the main door and just looked at me.
"Everybody ready?" I asked him.
He nodded, but I watched as he pulled off the jacket he was wearing.
"Here," he said before I had a chance to say anything else.
He held the hoodie out to me, and I hesitated to take it.
"You need it more than I do," he stated.
I was grateful once I put it on, it was already warm.
"Thank you," I said, making sure to zip it part of the way up.
He didn't say anything in response.
I followed him out the door and all the way to the car in silence.
Michael wore a white t-shirt that said, 'This is my selfie shirt.' It was meant to be seen through a mirror.
He wore black dickie pants and his usual black Converse.
As soon as Benny saw me, she frowned, and I just grinned at her.
Damn right, I cheated.
I wasn't expecting Michael to offer me clothes, though, but I certainly appreciated it.
Gus was the one behind the wheel, and Benny sat up front with him.
I was surprised to see Michael get in the back with me, but he did look tired.
I noticed right away the red backpack in the middle of us, and I knew that I wasn't the one that put it there.
"So, where do you guys want to eat?" Gus asked.
Michael groaned.
Gus laughed loudly before pulling out of the parking lot.
He was too awake. Though, that was typical Gus. Always cheerful.
Both him and Benny seemed to dress similarly this morning.
He wore a dark gray tank top with what looked like a dark sunset on the pocket with palm trees.
The only difference was that he wore dark blue jeans instead of workout shorts or sweat pants.
I couldn't see his shoes, but I could guess they were the usual pair.
Michael made a disgusted sound. I guess he wasn't hungry then?
I didn't get the joke, but clearly, the idea of eating just didn't sit right with Michael.
"How are you feeling this morning, Ren?" Benny asked.
I shrugged, "I feel fine."
Though that was a little bit of a lie, my stomach was feeling strange, and I was having trouble figuring out if I was hungry or if I was going to be sick.
"Nothing says you guys can't eat," Michael stated.
I looked over at him, and it didn't look like he was ready to explain anything to me.
Benny, however, was the one to speak up about it, "Michael has a hangover."
Wasn't it better to eat after?
"You know the drill Michael," Gus said, "You need to eat something greasy. "
"Like bacon," Benny nodded.
Michael made a face. He was clearly nauseous.
At least I knew why they were messing with him. It felt nice to be included, even if I did feel a little bad for him.
"I could definitely go for something greasy," I said.
Gus laughed again, Benny laughed the loudest, and Michael just shook his head at us.
It didn't take long until we went through a drive-through, and Gus ordered us all breakfast sandwiches.
Benny handed one back to me, and she held one out for Michael just in case. He took the sandwich and was slow to actually open it.
I didn't think he was going to eat anything.
Benny also handed us both an orange juice.
"Thank you," I said before I started to eat.
++++++++++
I stared out the window, and I stared up at the sky. It was going to rain again.
"Turn off here," Benny said to Gus.
He didn't say anything back, he just did what she said. He merged into the lane on our right and got off at the exit.
This area didn't look familiar, were we already almost back?
I looked around, but I didn't remember any of this.
My gaze went to Michael questioningly. He looked like he knew where we were.
"Where are we going?" I mouthed to him.
He let out a small laugh before shaking his head.
What the hell?
"Benny?" I asked, "Where are we going?"
I caught her gaze in the rearview mirror, and she looked a little worried.
"You'll see," she said.
I figured as much, but I would still like to know beforehand.
"Gus?" I asked.
"Don't tell her," Benny hissed.
Gus made a face, and I could tell that he was completely torn.
I knew it was mean, but I decided to play the guilt card.
"Don't you love me, Gus?" I asked, "You should tell me."
He bit his lip as he glanced back and forth between Benny and me.
"Not fair," she pointed accusingly at me.
"What's not fair is you guys not telling me where we're going," I said back.
"Maybe she doesn't remember," Michael shrugged.
"Remember what?" I asked.
I looked at Michael, and he was just smiling at me like he knew a joke that I didn't.
I both hated and loved that smile.
My gaze then went to Benny, and she had nearly the same expression.
Gus looked guilty when my gaze landed on him.
"Holy hell," I said once it hit me.
The sex shop. That's where they were going.
I felt like such an idiot, I didn't think they would really go.
"There it is," Michael said, "She totally forgot."
I made a face, "I totally forgot."
"We're going to find some fun stuff," Benny said, "And hopefully a souvenir for Ren."
I was mortified. I still have yet to have sex with another person, but these three were treating me like I was no different from them. They were treating me like a sexual deviant.
It was a feeling I strangely liked, and I already knew that they were going to talk me into buying something strange.
"On the left," Benny said to Gus.
I looked out the window to see us pull into a small little shopping center.
I saw the sign before Gus pulled into a spot. The glowing neon sign read 'Esensuals.'
This was definitely the place.
Benny was the first one out of the car.
Gus just looked at me and gave me a reassuring smile before he got out of the car.
Michael opened his door but didn't get out yet.
"You can freak out after she makes you buy a vibrator."
That was the last thing I wanted to hear him say.
"On the upside," he said, "You won't have to use your fingers anymore."
I glared at him. He wanted to say dirty things to me, then I would say something right back.
"On the upside," I said smoothly, "It would certainly make our next phone sex conversation more fun."
He looked back at me now, and I felt his gaze everywhere. I felt it in places I didn't even think were possible.
"Would you actually use it?" he asked, "If you got one."
I didn't know.
"I didn't think you would," he said.
I turned to look at him again, "What makes you so sure I wouldn't?"
He looked back at me seriously, "You made a comment to me about waiting, you didn't even put your own fingers inside."
"That isn't the same thing at all," I stated.
"Then what exactly are you waiting for?" he asked.
I didn't know, I had wanted to wait until I was with someone long enough to feel love. The last, the only boyfriend I ever really had, tried to take full advantage of me being some doe-eyed virgin. He thought he could be nice, and it would work, and it nearly did.
My gaze lingered on Michael, maybe I was just waiting for someone to do to me what he can.
"I'm not sure," I confessed, "Maybe I'm just tired of waiting."
He just stared back at me, and I had the feeling that if we were back in the hotel room, something would have happened.
"Don't get a vibrator," he murmured.
I made a face, did he not want me to do it myself?
His eyes on me made me shake, I wouldn't mind him doing it for me. Though last night was different, he was drinking.
"Why not?" I had to ask.
"When it comes to actually having sex," he said, "Your expectations will be too high."
"My expectations?" I asked, "For what?"
"An orgasm," he said as if it were the simplest thing in the world.
I tried to glare at him, but I don't think I was.
"Starting off with a vibrator," he said, "Might make you a hard woman to satisfy."
Why does he talk to me like this? Does he want me to go crazy?
"For a guy that doesn't want to sleep with me, you sure do say a lot of sexual things."
I knew it was a little mean to say it, but it was true.
"I'm just telling you what I think," he said.
"So am I," I said back.
"Ren?" I heard Benny call, "So help me god if you don't get in here I will pick something out for you."
Michael got out of the car before she could finish her sentence.
I was out as soon as she finished it.
The last thing I wanted her to do was pick something out for me.
Michael stopped me at the door, "I know you hate it, but you should let me buy this."
I made a face at him.
"Do you have cash on you?" he asked me.
I only had five dollars cash on me, and I doubted that I could buy anything inside with that.
I shook my head slowly.
"Do you want your parents to see that you bought any of those things?"
When I really thought about it, that was probably not a great idea.
"Okay," I said reluctantly.
He only nodded, though I was expecting him to at least act like he won this battle.
"Come on," he said, holding the door open.
It was always weird, he would always say so many mean things, but he was always so courteous.
I walked in, expecting all kinds of weird, but it was different.
"We should check out the back," Benny whispered.
"There is a back?" I asked.
"Oh yeah," she said.
"What's in the back?" I asked her.
She didn't answer, she only grinned at me.
I was tired of being in the dark, I wanted to know just as badly as I didn't want to know.
I moved through the isles to find Michael, I could get him to tell me. If he wouldn't, I'm sure I could get Gus to cave by himself.
"Hey," I said, making sure not to actually pay attention to what he was looking at.
"Hey," he said back, scanning the contents of the shelf.
"So, I was just wondering," I said, finally looking at what he was looking at, "What's in the back?"
He stopped looking at the small plastic boxes, and he looked back at me.
"Who said that there was a back?" he asked.
"Benny," I said innocently.
"You don't want to know," he said.
I glared at him, "I'm asking, aren't I?"
"Think S&M," he said, "If it hurts, it's in the back."
I nodded, I was glad I knew now.
"Thank you," I said.
He picked up a small box, and he handed it to me, "You might be interested in this."
I didn't want to look, but at the same time, I did.
I took it to read it, and I gasped once I actually read it.
It was a device that went over your finger, and it took batteries.
"Maybe," I said, handing it back to him.
He took it with him when he left the aisle.
I didn't really want to get anything, but at the same time, I did. Though, now I knew what Benny did when I wasn't in the room.
She might think the same thing of me after we're done here.
Though it did make me wonder, would I be like that?
Again, sorry about that chapter junk.
Here this on is again, in its rightful spot at 14.
Thank you for reading!
