Gods, Help me

Gavrill's POV

*A few weeks later*

Ever since the meeting with Thyra and the fight with Alistair, there has been a lot of extra tension around.

More so than normal.

Noir, however, against all common sense and orders, still comes to the south end of the village.

Looking up from my spot on the straw roof, it was already hádegi. She should be approaching any moment.

Almost an hour passed and Noir was nowhere to be seen. I shot up and looked down at the village below but there was no Noir, just different creatures of different backgrounds. Every day of Ormamánuður, Noir was here.

Why isn't she now?

"Wait a little longer," Eskil said, bringing me out of my silent panic.

"Fine."

Laying back down, I stared up at the sky.

*Flashback 1 Month Prior*

"Brother," I whispered as a sleeping Noir rested against.

Alistair didn't respond but instead Rune shot me a sideways glance before nestling his snout more into Noir's shoulder.

Eskil snorted as his head still rested on the ground, periodically shooting glances to the wolves that followed him to Noir and his brother.

"What are you going to do," I finally asked.

For a while, Alistair didn't respond. When Eskil stretched an arm out and poked Rune, Rune used his massive head to gently pull Noir more towards him and growled.

"Thyra filled me in further awhile ago before River shifted here. What I do know is," Alistair paused as Rune gently turned his head and licked the mark causing Noir to shiver beneath him. "—that, knowing Noir, she will want to find out more and if that is the case, you will call upon Herlief."

I sighed.

"We will all handle the situation," Alistair responded as a sleepy Noir stirred.

With that, Rune backed up and shifted into Alistair. Scooping Noir into his arm, I just nodded to him as he whistled. The wolves around us perked their ears and followed their Alpha back to the house.

*End of Flashback*

More time passed until I heard a commotion and when I rolled over and looked down, I couldn't help but run a hand down my face.

In the village below was a running Noir.

For the briefest moment, I took in her attire. A dark tan leather top that hugged her curves and leather pants, equally as tight; her hair was down today and her boots were a lighter color than the rest of her outfit.

I was quickly brought out of my gawking as she shouted, "I'M SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN TOO!!"

Behind her was a Vila.

What in the hell did she manage too do to invoke the wrath of a Vila? You know what, no. I don't even want to know.

I watched for a short time, even had to jump to few other rooftops before the Vila got even more angry and whisked Noir into the air and tossed her into a hay cart.

"Gods, help me," I thought, sighing.

Hell, someone help her.

When the Vila picked Noir up again and slammed her back into the cart causing it to splinter and fall apart under the force then into a stone wall, I growled.

That was the breaking point of my patience. At that moment, I was blinded by a rage that tasted bitter, yet surprisingly satisfying. Eskil reached out, wanting to surface but I reigned him back in as I jumped down from the rooftop.

Another growled rippled through me, more dangerous than the last as I snatched the Vila up by his neck.

After a brief moment, I punched him. When my fist came in contact, the Vila fell to the ground wailing in pain as I tried to shake the aching aftertaste. Much like mead, its bitterness drew me in to take another sip.

I lunged, landing on the Vila and held him down so he couldn't fight back. I seriously doubt he would have anyway as my fists continued to hit him. I couldn't stop.

I knew I should've put an end to it but I just didn't have it in me to stop until a slender arm snaked around my striking one.

"It was an accident," a very disheveled Noir said. "Stop."

When I looked at her, I waited a moment and nodded before turning back to the Vila, lowering my face to his neck, canines scraping across the skin and growled before jerking my head in the direction behind him causing the Vila to stand and run.

Stepping back and turning around, I looked at Noir and sighed.

"What the hell did you do," I questioned, my curiosity getting the better of me.

Noir, who was pulling hay out of her hair, stopped and gave me an awkward grin.

"I Uh... might have ran into him knocking him into a cabbage cart," she chuckled.

Odin, please. PLEASE help us all.

I just stared at Noir blankly before asking, "why are you here anyways."

Tilting her head to one side, she poked her temple and stuck her tongue out.

"I was looking for you," she equip, smiling.

"Why do I have an ominous gut feeling that you're mostly lying," I stated flatly, rolling my eyes.

Rolling her eyes, Noir shrugged.

"Because I am. I mean, running into you would be a plus since I have questions but the south end,  mainly because I want to irritate Alister and what better way to do that than come here."

"...Fantastic."
