Chapter 228: Battle Of Veta - Second Phase (Part 2)

John's perspective 

I'm now carrying my wife in my hands, on the way to the castle's backyard. Because we intend to evacuate since the situation in Veta is helpless, we cannot stay here anymore.

The backyard's entrance can be seen ahead, I just need to push forward a little bit more to head there. Despite the exit door being closed, behind me is quite a chaos because enemies are overrunning the place.

"Arrrrghhh! Ahhhh!".  "Slashes! Slashes! Slashes!".  "Ahhh! Ahhhh! Ahhhhh!!!". - A versus between a WCA woman soldier and an Attenta soldier could be seen occurring in front of me

Both of them are fighting, but the woman seems to be weaker when she cannot make further moves. Instead, she points her spear at the hostile, yelling loudly and making excessive moves to make her as dangerous.

Carrying Shera in my hands, I put her down on the floor and lean my hand on my pistol's holster... shit. I forgot that I lost my own M1911 pistol, Hatano even retook the pistol that I lent from her, shit!

"Bang!". - Instead, I drew out my M4A1 which is strapped on my shoulder. Later I used my rifle to shoot the man's chest, making him fall

After shooting, I pick up my wife, ran past that woman soldier and manage to reach the entrance. When we get there, WCA soldiers and gunners can be seen stationed around the place. Hmmm... at least some soldiers go out to escort me when I head here. I follow them till I get upstairs.

"We can take it from here, Sir!". - After escorting me to the wall side of the backyard, they asked me to give my wife to them for the evac

"I want to meet the Commander of this place, first!".  "Where is she?".

"Other there, Sir!". - One soldier pointed his finger in the direction of the left side

I look in that direction and see Hatano and Sarah standing in a watchtower. For the better view, I approach the watchtower and get up the staircase to watch my subordinates and others. Hmmm... the children who lost parents also arrive here as well, huh?

Hmmm... odder, the parents who died, also got here to be evacuated. Their bodies can be seen lying on the floor of the watchtower, waiting to be evacuated with their kids.

From what I can see from Sarah and the soldiers, they're arguing about something. Hmmm... I must observe more things before heading my wife to the evacuation.

Hmmmm... carriages and some horses can be seen strapped on the ropes, from hook ropes that are strapped to the wall. I got it now, we'll be evacuated by that odd way.

By using ropes to lift up the objects and drop them on the field outside of the backyard, waiting to be used. About people, they'll rappel down the field by using the hook ropes... I hope those ropes are tight enough to hold people without breaking.

"Everyone, please calm down! There's nothing t-".

"You're crazy, General!".  "There's no way to evacuate the dead! That's the most bullshit thing I have ever seen in my life!".  "We, the living ones, need to be evacuated! Not 'em!".  "Change it now!!!". - Alright, understood. Sarah was asking the soldiers to calm down, but they kept criticizing her for letting the dead be evacuated

"Get out! Get out! Get out!".  "VIPs on the way, get out!!!". - I didn't care but got in the crowd of soldiers, asking them to stay away to let VIPs pass. That's my wife and me

Hearing the order, those WCA soldiers stay away and give both of us a long route to pass them easily. Approaching my subordinates that easily, I feel good when I have power in my hands, can make 'em submit to me without conditions. Hmmm... these soldiers must be left behind, cannot let them join the evac.

"Commander". - Sarah called me, I slowly and gently handed Sarah to her

"She's a VIP, needs to be prioritized to evacuate".

"Uhhh... it seems unfair, John".  "Ummm... the one who comes first will be served first".  "Though I cannot evacuate her first but I'll do my best".

"You say again...?". - I stepped closer to Sarah, showing my unpleasant face to intimidate this little innocent girl

"Uhhh...". - Shera will be evacuated first, say it!!!

"I promise to prioritize her in the evac, Commander...". - All of sudden, Hatano answered on behalf of her little sister

"Good".

"Hey! Hey! Hey, General!".  "What the fuck?!!!". - Those soldiers were now yelling at me, I should do something to make them shut their mouths forever

"Instead of standing here to scold me, guard the entrance".  "All of you will be evacuated, I promise to do it".  "However, cannot evacuate y'all if you keep against my order".

Hearing my words, those soldiers slowly stop yelling. They gradually head downstairs of the watchtower, walking to the backyard's entrance to defend it again hostiles.

The situation has been settled down a little bit. Sarah slowly puts my wife to the wall, later approaches the orphan kids to comfort them or something. However... I'm different. Just simply reach the farthest side of the wall, pulling out my binoculars to watch things.

From my view from the binoculars, strapped carriages and horses are being lifted down outside of the backyard field. However, I only see very few carriages and horses that have really been deployed on the field.

It means that the seats for the evac won't be enough for all. Hmmm... those children will be evacuated, I won't be that ruthless to leave 'em. But about their dead parents, evacuating them is very useless and very waste of time, must stop it right now.

"Sarah". - I called Sarah, she turned back to see me

"Why do we need to evacuate the dead?".  "Cut it off...".

"What's wrong with you, Commander?!".  "Please put your view into these children! They lost their parents, it'll be more terrible if they cannot stay with them!".

"You're my superior or I am your superior?!!!".  "Hatano, teach your little sister well".  "She must know to be greedy and selfish a little bit".  "Her actions will get us killed!".

"I'll work on it...". - Done talking to me, Hatano glanced at the kids and approached them, cuddling their faces

Instead of looking at my subordinates and the children, I look at the strapped horses and carriages. It's good to see they've been put down on the field, waiting to be used.

WCA soldiers and Marines from down there can be seen removing the ropes from those vehicles. After removing the ropes, those ropes are pulled up the wall once again by WCA soldiers standing in the watchtower.

Not just this tower, all towers in the backyard are doing their best to evacuate the soldiers and people out.

"Alright, your turn, kids". - All of sudden, some WCA soldiers approached the kids and crouched down, greeting 'em

"Hey...".  "Please hold them tight, alright?".  "Your parents will be evacuated later...". - Sarah crouched down and hugged those kids, even reminding them

"I understand, sis".  "Sobs... sobs... sobs... sobs...".  "Thank you, thank you, sis!". - Some of these kids were sobbing, they kept thanking Sarah

"Alright, safe travel". - Sarah said goodbye to the kids by waving at them while crouching

"It'll be a fast travel, kids".  "Don't be scared, hold our napes tight".  "Alright, come". - Those soldiers gently put the kids in their backs, reminding the kids to hold tight

Those men hold the kids on their backs, and grab the ropes, intending to rappel down on the field.

"Alright, here we go?".  "Ready?". - They got on the ropes and slowly moved down, later stopping with their feet holding the wall

"Nod!".

"Alright, let's move". - Those soldiers started rappelling down while the kids were holding their backs

Looking at that scene for a while, I keep my eyes out and return to look at my subordinates. The next turn must be my wife - Shera, my subordinates and I, I think.

Alright... we must run right now because the enemy reaches here. Leaving those soldiers to hold back the hostiles will be a good idea.

"Sarah".

"Yes, Commander?". - She looked at me once again with her bewildered face

"Next turn will be Shera".  "Leave the dead, we w-".

"I can prioritize your wife but leaving these people is unacceptable, Commander!".

"You dare...?".  "Hatano, look at your little sister".

"I accept evacuating Shera first, but... cannot leave the dead".

"What the fuck did you say?".  "Even you dare to against me, huh?!".  "Huh? Tell me...". - This time, I also approached Hatano while showing my intimidate face

Instead of speaking anything against me, Hatano gets closer to me, with her eyes and her face always emotionless.

"I can do that for you, Commander".  "But... in a condition, can we?". - What's her purpose?

"Say it?".

"Follow me down there... to the workroom".

"Are you nuts? That place's already been overrun!".

"I haven't done saying anything yet". - This time, I try to get myself calm down

"Head there... we'll have some "peaceful conversations" together...".  "You last longer... then I'll hear all of your orders... like a machine...". - What the fuck did she just whisper to me?!

"This is not a joke".

"I don't joke at all...".  "If you can't, then we must follow Sarah's rule, uh huh". - Hatano is crazy! She dared to ask me to have sex with her in the warzone, just to hear my order!!!

I neglect her suggestion. Instead, I return to look at the watchtower's staircase, some WCA soldiers can be seen gathering there. They must be rushing, hoping to get evacuated to get out of this place as soon as possible.

"What the fuck are you people doing, huh?!!!".  "Get down there! And defend the entrance!".  "All of you will be evacuated later, do it now!!!". - I yelled at those soldiers, pointing and scolding them. Despite hesitation while hearing my order, they slowly got on the ground to defend the backyard

After dismissing those soldiers, I look at the evac progress in the watchtower once again. Currently, dead bodies can be seen strapped on the ropes, and now are waiting to be evacuated as well, it goes quite fast.

"Nothing more for us to argue, Commander...".  "Tap". - Hatano whispered to me from behind, even tapping my shoulder before leaving

"Be careful, Ted". - All of sudden, I heard Sarah's voice telling someone to be careful, I looked behind to see her

Turns out... two Marines, I mean alive and one died. The Marine who seems to be Ted, is now carrying Rison on his back - I shot him to death previously. Maybe these men will join the evac as well.

When the parents' dead bodies are being lifted down to the ground, Ted grabs a rope and starts rappelling down slowly while carrying Rison on his back. Seeing my wife still unconscious and sitting on the wall, I get closer to Sarah, I'm quite concerned.

"When will be Shera's turn?".

"Uhhh...".  "When they're brought down there, John".

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!". - All of sudden, a scream could be heard sounding outside the backyard

All of us reach the wall and look down, later seeing Ted and Rison lying on the ground. The rope he used has now been broken, not good at all. Hmmm... wait, below Ted and Rison is another person. He seems to be a WCA soldier who got crushed when they fell from the previous accident.

"I'm fine".  "Check the man". - After getting lifted up by other soldiers, Ted asked 'em to check on the below soldier

"He's dead".

"This is not good, Commander".  "Uhhh...". - Seeing the terrible scene, Sarah looked away and held her head. Some WCA soldiers could be seen heading up there, removing the broken hook rope to plug into the wall another one

"This is the last rope we can use!".  "What should we do now, Sir? There are some same reports over there". - After replacing the rope, those men asked Sarah

"Return to your position, we'll find another solution later".

"Roger, Sir". - They later left the watchtower

"Commander". - All of sudden, Advisor spoke to me after a long time of going silent

"What?".

"At this rate, the enemy will reach the backyard soon".  "You better should prepare for it, Johnny".

"How's about your sensor scanning?".

"Our troops are doing their best to hold back their movement".  "They're everywhere now, except for the castle's backyard".

"When they'll come?".

"Three minutes, I think so". - Then we must evacuate now before worse things come

"Use all ways you can think of, Commander".  "I'll accept the choices of yours".

"What?". - Wait a bit, I realized that my subordinates were looking at me

"Wait, where are my airpods?".  "Where are they?". - I kept searching around my body but couldn't find them

"Sarah, you have my airpods?".

"Shakes head".

"Hatano?".

"...". - Maybe her silence means "no"

"They must've been left in your room, Johnny".

"Forget it, Advisor".  "Now tell me what you can think of".

"My words will be useless, Commander".  "You better make your own choice". - At least he's smart enough to lower his voice while having conversations with me

"Why?".

"I'm an AI, so... emotions are things I don't have".  "I'm trying to "learn" the way to have emotions".  "I saw you kill those innocents, but I didn't stop you".  "I scanned you in that process, things in your head were all messed up".  "So, in short... make your own choice, and I'll assist".

"Alright...". - After speaking to him, I approached Sarah

Seemed like the dead bodies had been evacuated by now. Shera has now been carried by WCA soldiers, they're bringing her to a rope to strap her in there. Later, my wife will be brought down and put in a carriage to evacuate.

"Do it carefully!". - I yelled at those soldiers, asking them to lift my wife down carefully

Because I'm quite nervous after seeing the previous incident. I'm scared that it would also happen to my wife, I want her to be safe.

"Roger that, Sir".

"Sarah, we need to talk". - After talking to those soldiers, I ordered Sarah to talk with me about the evac

"Ummm... what do you want to say, Commander?".

"Can you... go first?".

"No, I can do that".  "I want to make sure everybody is safe and in those cars before going".  "I'll go the last". - Hmmm... it'll be very difficult to evacuate fast if she's still here, I must do something

"But y-".

"I'll solve the problem, John". - Hatano suddenly whispered to me, hmmm... I hope she'll be trustworthy this time

"Ahhhh!".  "What the hell is happening?!!!".  "Let me out! Let me out!!!".  "Get off me!!!". - All of sudden, my wife's voice could be heard sounding from behind me

I turn back to look, later realizing that Shera has finally awoken after a long time of losing consciousness. The WCA soldiers who are holding my wife are very struggling when she keeps resisting harshly, so they let her off their back.

"John!".  "John! Finally, I was scared when I can't find you anywhere!". - Getting off the soldiers, my wife looked around in panic, trying to find me. Fortunately, she found me shortly and later ran to me

"John!!!".  "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!". - While running toward me, Shera moaned hurtfully. She kneeled after having the pain, touching her spine

"Wait wait wait, Shera...".  "Don't move too much, don't move too much".  "Alright, I'm here with you now". - I ran to her and crouched down, hugging her gently while reminding her to stay calm

"What happened to me, John?".  "Uhhh... my back hurts".  "Where are we...?". - Hugging me in happiness, my wife looked around and was bewildered because she didn't know anything

"You broke some bones, so don't move too much".  "We're evacuating, to the Capital through Nalta's route". 

"Eh?".

"The border gate had been breached so we retreated to our home".  "But we'll soon be going out of here, very soon".

"We're in the castle?".

"Yeah, its backyard".

"Your Highness, this is your turn for the evac".  "Get in the rope, we'll pull you down there and get you a carriage". - Those soldiers suggested my wife join the evac

"What...?".  "Then... what's about my husband?". - Shera glanced at those men in confusion, asking them

"I'll join the evac later".

"No!".  "We go together!!!".  "Arrrrghhh!". - She suddenly moved excessively so her back hurt once again

"Don't move too much...". - Holiday my wife in my hands, I head patted her to make her feel better

"Alright, I understand".  "Ummm... your turn, soldiers". - Sarah respected my wife's decision, she shortly ordered 4 women soldiers to join the evacuation

"Commander, enemy incoming".  "You better get prepared for it".  "Hmmm... dozens of them, 57 men". - Advisor suddenly alerted me

"Huh?". - Shera was confused when she heard Advisor's warning

"Sarah, Hatano!". - I spoke loudly to call my subordinates, they returned to look at me

"Send more men to defend the backyard's entrance!".

"I'm working on it, Commander".  "My sensor had alerted me previously". - Sarah shortly looked below, watching the soldiers who were protecting the backyard's entrance

"John, I'm scared".

"Don't be scared, Shera".  "Nothing to worry about, don't be scared". - I carried my wife and approached a wall side, later put her down

"What are you doing?". - Shera asked me when I put down my Alrotz military backpack, opened it up

"Barricade the defense".

Wait a minute... I couldn't find any Alrotz turrets. Wait wait wait wait, I lost them in the battle of the border gate, right?!!! Shit my life!!!

"Booooooommmmmmmm!!!!".  "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!". - All of sudden, many yellings came out and the backyard's entrance exploded loudly

"Safe zone has been breached!".  "Sis, what should we do now?!!!". - Sarah held her M4 carbine tightly while asking Hatano what to do

"Yarrrrghhhhhhhhhh!!!!".  "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!".  "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!". - Many war cries could be heard sounding, many hostiles could be seen running in the yard

"Enemy incoming!".  "Fight back! Do not let them get on the towers, soldiers!!!!". - I roared, telling the soldiers who were joining the evac to stop but to fight

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!".  "Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!". - Immediately, I drew out my M4A1 and shot at any enemies I saw through the ACOG scope

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!".  "Ahhhh! Ahhh!".  "Sobs! Sobs! Sobs! Sobs! Sobs! Sobs! Sobs!". - While shooting the hostiles, I looked back. My wife was yelling and yelling like a baby, she covered her ears because the gunshots were too loud

"Bang! Bang! Bang!".  "Changing mag, cover me!". - As I ran out of ammo, I reloaded my rifle. However, due to the seriousness of the battle, I dropped my ammo instead of picking it up

"Clak!".  "Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!".  "What the fuck?!!!". - The enemies were too many, they were trying to use our captured soldiers as their human shields

"Not good at all, what should we d-". - Sarah was very confused and didn't know how to solve the problem

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!".  "Spurt!".  "Boommm!!!!". - However, I shot my own side too for safety. Later I shot a grenade launcher bullet at the hostiles

"Sarah, we need to evacuate now!".  "Forget others!!!".

"No, Commander! No way!".  "Bang! Bang!".  "Uhhh... there must some way, must be some way!". - Sarah kept shooting at the enemies she assumed to not have hostages

"Gunshots! Gunshots!". 

"Enemy mage, three o'clock!". - Advisor alerted me

"Bang!".  "Target's down!". - Fortunately, Hatano killed that enemy mage

"I'm reloading, cover me!". - Ran out of ammo once again, I reloaded my rifle

"Hey hey hey hey! What the fuck are you people doing?!!!". - I saw many WCA soldiers running to other watchtowers, also had some running to our tower too

"They're too many, we can't fight them off!!!".  "Please let me pass, Sir!".  "I still have my kids waiting for me!".  "Please don't leave me here! Please don't leave us here, please!!!". - Many voices came out from different soldiers, they were all scared of dying

"Pick up your weapons and return to stop the hostiles!".  "All of you will be evacuated! Now return to fight!".  "Do not run away, do not flee unless the enemies have been pushed back from the yard!". - Currently, I was targeting my own troops instead of targeting the enemies

"Do it yourself!".  "Die alone yourself! We have one life!".  "Why don't you get down there and fight for us, huh?!!!".  "You're just thinking about yourselves!".  "Get us out of here! Get us out of here!".  "Don't fuck with us!!!". - These soldiers were yelling at me, forcefully protesting me

"Everyone, please calm down!".  "Please calm down!". - Sarah kept asking the soldiers to stay calm. However, everything seemed to be pointless

"Here! We are not in the Army anymore!".  "I return these clothes to you! We don't want to be soldiers anymore!".  "We're now just civilians! Get us out of here! Get us out of here, immediately!".  "We return to you all the things you gave us! Now save us!!!". - These soldiers started rioting, many of 'em removed their helmets and weapons, many tore out their armors and clothes, even insignias

"We're civilians now! Get us out of here! Get us out of here!".  "We're not gonna fight anymore! Get us out!!!!".

"Everyone please calm down!".

"John! Too many sounds! My head hurts!". - Shera was now not just covering her ears but was also closing her eyes due to facing many things

"Get us out of here! Get us out of here!".  "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!". - In the end, some soldiers started hustling each other, rushing to us to escape

"Last warning!!!". - I switched my rifle's shooting mode to automatic mode, ready to fire

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!". - Shit, they kept coming!

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!".  "Gunshots! Gunshots! Gunshots! Gunshots!". - In a blink of an eye, I started shooting my own soldiers, many lying on the floor and the staircase, dying

"Nooooooooooooooo!!!". - Sarah was very shocked, she couldn't do anything but kneel on the floor, watching the dead bodies

"Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh! Ahhh!".  "Please don't kill me! Please don't shoot me! Please don't kill me!!!". - After seeing dozens of bodies lying among them, the soldiers started begging me to forgive them

"Return to the yard and fight till we push back the hostiles!".  "Or die here, immediately! Choose it!". - Hmmmm... as long as I have firearms, no one can overpower me

"Nod! Nod! Nod! Nod! Nod!". - Many of them nodded and picked up their dropped weapons, obeying me without any conditions

"Return to the yard! Fight till we push back the enemies!". - I kept threatening them by using my M4A1

"John! Behind you!". - Suddenly, Shera yelled loudly

"One behind you, Commander!". - Advisor also alerted me

"Gunshots! Gunshots! Clack! Clack! Clack! Clack!". - Turned out, an evac assistant soldier from behind suddenly attacked me, I shot him to death and my ammo was out

"Yarrrrghhhhhhhhhh!!!!". - All of sudden, soldiers from the staircase started changing at me once again

"Smash! Smash! Smash! Smash! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!". - Running out of ammo and without my pistol, I used my rifle butt and managed to knock off some guys

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!".  "Gunshots! Gunshots! Gunshots! Gunshots! Gunshots!". - Luckily, I managed to grab Sarah's dropped M4. Later I shot those soldiers, dozens of them dying

"Please don't shoot us! Please don't shoot us!".  "We'll return to the battle, please don't kill me!".  "Please please please please please... I won't do anything against you". - Struggling for a short time, now everything was under my control

"Turn around and kill those enemies... immediately!".

Hearing my order, those survivors return to grab the weapons on the floor and the staircase. More than I expected, they head downstairs and later head to the yard, trying to get rid of the incoming enemies.

When those WCA troops have gone quite far from my watchtower, I see others from other towers. Those soldiers, looking at me with their terrifying eyes, no one of them dares to look at me directly, not even speaking.

Just like that, they silently rappel down the ropes and join the evac vehicles in other areas of the ground. Hmmm... should not let those troops follow us, I guessed so.

There may be traitors among them... they'll hurt my wife and my subordinates if I let them follow us. I assume so.

"Sarah... do not follow let those units follow us, alright?".

Hearing my order, but Sarah doesn't do anything. Her eyes are very dull this time, just kneeling and looking at those corpses without saying anything. Sarah seems to have broken down, I think so.

"Hatano...?". - Couldn't use Sarah, I asked Hatano instead

"I'm not stupid enough to let them follow us, Johnny...". - Good, that's what I want to hear from a psycho like you

When I see everything in this tower is half secured, I look down at the yard once again. Our own troops are still doing their best to fight against incoming hostiles. However... some of them seem to be exhausted, even trying to fall back to not get killed.

"Take care of 'em".

"Roger". - Hatano shortly pulled out her M21 sniper rifle, but she didn't do anything to shoot the enemy soldiers

Instead, she raises her sniper rifle highly, pointing its butt at Sarah's head. Maybe she'll do something to her little sister.

"Smash!". - Hatano used the rifle butt to knock off Sarah, and the girl now fainted completely... good

After knocking off her little, Hatano starts using her sniper rifle to target WCA troops in the yard. She'll shoot our own troops if they dare to flee when the enemies are still in the yard... that's the plan.

About me, I turn around to look at the wall. Still two more WCA soldiers standing on that side, saluting me while standing straightly as if to show me their loyalty.

"Sir, the evac is yours". - Those soldiers were all scared of dying, so they decided to humble before me to keep them alive as long as possible

"Good, it's your turn".

"Thanks, Si-".

"Gunshots! Gunshots! Clack! Clack! Clack!". - Before they could finish talking, I shot those soldiers to death

Seeing Sarah's rifle run out of ammo, I changed its magazine and reloaded. Not yet, I also reloaded my rifle too.

After doing those things, I notice that one is still alive, wounded and crawling to the wall as if to grab a rope. Without any mercy, I point Sarah's M4 at him, attempting to shoot him painfully.

"Gunshots! Gunshots!". - The man died, I raised the rifle above while its barrel was popping out a lot of smoke

"Bang!".  "Hmmm... do it fast, Johnny".  "Bang! Headshot...".  "I love to think if our room for "peaceful meeting" can be that much blood and corpses". - Hatano was shooting the below soldiers, also talking to me... I cannot believe that I kept this psycho alive till this time

While letting Hatano do her own things, I crouch down before my wife and hold her soft hand. Knowing Shera's face is unwell, I check her forehead and her skin but they don't show she's sick.

"Shera, you okay?". - I asked my wife, and she reacted to my voice by moving her face to me weakly

"I'm fine, John...".  "Just... very exhausted, and very... headache to know what had just happened earlier".  "You... did something bad earlier, John?".  "Why did you do that?".  "Sobs! Sobs! Sobs!". - Shera asked me and then sobbed, I couldn't do anything but hug my dear wife

"I'm sorry, Shera... I'm sorry".  "That was... shit happened".  "Only that choice was the best for all of us".  "I'm sorry".

Looking down on the ground outside of the backyard. WCA soldiers who have been deployed down there can be seen greeting me cheerfully. Hmmm... they're just pretending. How stupid they're when they keep staying there without fleeing.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!".  "Bang! Bang! Bang!".  "Spurt!".  "Boommm!!!!". - Spotting them, I used my M4A1 to slay those soldiers till they died all. I even exploded a carriage on the farthest side since I spotted people sitting inside there, might be soldiers

"Alright, it's enough". - After killing the soldiers down there, I ordered Hatano to stop shooting at the troops

Hatano stops as I ordered her to do. She shortly grabs a rope and straps Sarah on her back, attempting to rappel down. About me... I cannot carry my wife on my back because I still have my military Alrotz military backpack. Hmmm...

Wait a minute, I just want to make sure those soldiers, from my own troops to the enemies won't hurt us anymore. Maybe I should not let them stay there to fight against the enemies easily.

Done thinking, I rush to pick up my Alrotz military backpack and close its zip. Shortly, I drag my Alrotz bag to the wall and throw it down on the ground. Hmmm... the equipment in there won't be broken because the resistance of this hi-tech thing is good.

"You go down first and cover me, Hatano".  "Alright?".

"Nod!". - Hatano had done strapping Sarah to her back, she slid her Alrotz military backpack to me

I pick up her Alrotz bag and Sarah's Alrotz bag, holding them in my both hands and approach the wall silently. When I reach the wall, I grab out one yellow CNW grenade and two Alrotz gas masks before dropping the backpacks. Hmmm... I'll be carrying my wife and go the last, I think so.

Hatano and Sarah shortly rappelled down the ropes and landed on the ground safely. My subordinate later pulls out her M1911. She can be seen pointing her gun all around the place to check for survivors of the previous shootout caused by me.

About Shera, she's quite exhausted and now is grabbing my sleeves. I crouch down and cuddle her face, trying to calm down my wife.

Well... I think using this dangerous chemical weapon will be risky. That's why I bring these gas masks, to make sure the smoke won't spread to us when the poison gas is exposed to the air.

"Wear the gas mask, Shera". - Slowly, I put the Alrotz gas mask on my wife's face

"Advisor, gas mask on". - After wearing for my wife the gas mask, I leaned my Alrotz gas mask's strap behind my head, finishing wearing the gas mask to against chemicals

I look down at the yard of the backyard to see the current battle situation.  Everything seems to be very bad when I can see my own WCA troops fleeing for their own lives. Behind them... is a bunch of enemy hostiles chasing them to death. It's time...

I raise the CNW grenade and use my fingers to touch its safety pin, shortly pulling the pin's pull ring out. Holding the grenade's lever, I aim downstairs and drop the grenade, letting it roll down the staircase slowly.

"Hold me tight, Shera". - Finished throwing the grenade, I carried my wife on my back, also reminded her to hold me tightly

I head to a rope while holding Shera in my back. Grabbing the rope, I head down slowly, trying to keep my feet holding the wall steadily.

Hmmm... a dense green smoke can be seen popping out from the grenade. Now the smoke itself is covering all over the staircase, surrounding the air scarily.

"Cough! Cough! Cough! Cough!".  "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!".  "Cough! Cough! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!".  "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!".  "Cough! Cough! Cough! Cough!".  "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!". - Behind the green smoke, many coughings, yellings and other painful sounds could be heard sounding loudly

Those are the ones who have inhaled the green smoke. Among the enemies, also have my own troops. They must be coughing out blood with their skins shredding out in pain and their veins popping out blood and breaking slowly.

That's what will happen when an individual inhales this kind of chemical grenade. What a... worst way to die, poor them.

Seeing no one made it out through the staircase, I rappelled down immediately to forget everything I had done and seen. My sins are too many, I committed many crime things today... poor those who died unjustifiably.

Landing on the ground safely, I look around the place and spot many dead bodies lying all over the place. They're all corpses of soldiers who died, caused by only myself.

"Over here, Commander!". - Hatano yelled loudly, I saw her on the dirt trail ahead so I ran as fast as possible to her position for the evac

As I reach Hatano's position, there's a fine green carriage behind her. Inside the carriage are bunches of food stuffed inside there, will be enough to eat for weeks. Hmmm... Sarah can be seen sitting in there as well.

Things like Alrotz bags and put military things are inside t the carriage, good.

I see this carriage has two horses, the space inside is good enough to hold 3 to 4 more people, I think. Alright... I approach Hatano and she suddenly... points her M1911 pistol at me?!!!!

"Good".  "One more to go". - That incident came so suddenly, I was startled when she said that

"Just kidding, Commander...". - She suddenly put her pistol in her holster, so I was relieved

"You accidentally killed those children, Commander...".  "Even with a bad like me, that thing is too cruel and inhumane, hah...".  - She shortly pointed her thumb to the broken carriage which was destroyed by my grenade launcher

"I didn't mean to".

"Anyway... let's move, put her over there". - Hatano just calmly said to me while heading to a horse

I later put Shera inside the carriage, sitting next to Sarah. My wife's quite tired, she tries to hold my hand but I let off her and close the carriage's door slowly. Hmmm... we must move right now, or the enemies will keep up with us.

"Commander, behind you!". - All of sudden, Hatano and Advisor sounded at the same time

I look back, spotting 3 enemy horsemen running at us, shit!

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!". - I panicked and shot those cavalrymen, luckily that they died quickly after getting shot

After shooting at them, I spot dozens of the enemy spearmen heading toward us from afar of this place. Somehow they had got here sooner than I expected... if I don't stay here to stop 'em, my wife and my subordinates will be harmed!

"Arrrrrggghhhhhhhhh!". - I yelled angrily while opening the carriage's door, grabbing a random Alrotz military backpack and opening it out

"Slam!!!". - I closed the door powerfully

"Hatano, go!".  "To the Capital, just leave me here and get those two to the safe zone!".  "Immediately, run now!!!".

I pulled out an M67 grenade's pin's pull ring and throw it at the incoming hostiles. About Hatano, she's starting the carriage, about to escape.

"Boom!!!". - The grenade exploded, many hostiles died but many kept coming at us

"Urrrrrgggghh!".  "Boom!!!". - I threw another grenade at 'em

"Whinnies! Whinnies!". - Killing the enemies for a while, I looked back and saw the carriage running from me by this time

I'm so glad to know it.

"Eat this, motherfucker!!!". - I grabbed out a CNW grenade and pulled out its pin's pull ring, dropping it below me

The green smoke starts popping out from the grenade and shortly covers my body in the smoke line. Looking at the enemies from afar, they're heading here without knowing they'll die when they inhale this deadly smoke.

"Advisor, support for my own escape, over". - Wearing the gas mask, I asked Advisor to aid me in my own escape while wearing the green Alrotz military backpack

"On the way, Commander". - Hearing his words, I ran away
