I've always thought that life is so mysterious.

Whenever you wanted something to happen, nothing will happen. If you want to have no involvement with anything during a certain day, something will happen to ruin your day.

It's like this reincarnation thing. I prepared for the worst but I got something else entirely.

(Third Person's POV)

Inside a room, a lone boy with a slightly wavy medium length black hair could be seen stuffed inside his futon, sleeping. While he is snoozing quite comfortably, an energetic young girl with a similarly black colored hair slammed the door open before grabbing the boy's shoulders and shaking him awake.

She's a teenage girl of around 14 years of age. Her black hair is around waist-length, with two long forelocks framing her adorable face. Her large, almond shaped eyes have black colored irises that emits a playful glint in it, making her have the first impression of someone playful.

"Onii-chan, onii-chan! It's time to wake up! We still need to prepare for school!"

"Yes, yes… I understand. Stop shaking me for crying out loud! Geez… I'm so unlucky, having such a handful stepsister."

The girl just ignored his mumblings and marched outside when she saw that he's already awake. The young man couldn't help but shake his head.

(First Person's POV)

"*sigh*… What a handful. That Miu, she's too energetic for her age…"

Remembering that girl who woke me up earlier, I couldn't help but let out a sigh. She's already in her third year of middle school but she still acts like a little girl at heart sometimes.

It's been a few years since I regained my past memories but I still can't put a finger on which anime world I am. I did see the words that says 'Only Sense Online' but I've never heard of whatever that is even til today.

I've searched high and low for it only for me to come at a dead end. It came to a point where I eventually gave up and chose to focus on training to prepare myself for my chaotic future.

Even though I prepared myself, thinking that I will be reincarnated into a chaotic fantasy world, I got the total opposite and reincarnated at an Earth where no fantasy-ish thing ever happened. Because of this, my first wish became totally useless while only my second wish could be of any use right now.

For the first three years of my life after regaining my memories, I lived with my father who gave me the name Shun while I inherited his surname which is Shirakami, making my full name Shirakami Shun. What's even more surprising is that my father is a single parent at the time.

However, after those initial three years passed, he found his second love with the mother of my two siblings, Miu and Shizuka. Unfortunately, they are, more often than not, out of country for some business venture together. That's why we only really met them for a few days every month or a couple of months.

They didn't have that much time to make a little brother or little sister for us which is kind of a shame. A little sister would be nice to have.

As of now, I'm only living with my little sister, Shirakami Miu. I'm in-charge of cooking and housework most of the time since Miu is the typical millennial girl of previous Earth.

Why millennial girl? Well, isn't most girls these days glued to their phones all day? It's either they are chatting, gaming, watching videos, dancing in front of the camera, and etc.

Currently, I'm still in the process of teaching her everything that she needs to know about housework and such. I don't want to harp about it too much when I'm talking to her so I often just wait until she approach me first.

"Yosh, I guess it's time to prepare breakfast!"

After doing my morning routine like brushing my teeth, taking a bath, and stretching, I went down to the first floor and cooked our breakfast and prepared our bento.

"That should do it…"

Looking at the colorful and appetizing bento in front of me, I felt satisfied at my feat. I should really praise my past self for picking up cooking early on.

While I'm looking at the bentos I made with a triumphant expression, Miu suddenly stuck her head over my shoulder.

"Woah! Your bento looks really appetizing as always, onii-chan!"

"But you don't want to learn from this someone who can cook good food."

At my immediate retort, Miu just pouted her lips before resting her head on my shoulders and murmuring something that I almost didn't quite hear.

"It's because I'm not getting better…"

This sister of mine… Eh, she reminds of myself in my past life, always looking for immediate results.

"You're just looking for immediate results, that's why you think you're not improving. It takes time for someone to get better at something. If you're not putting in a lot of work, you won't get better at anything. Well, that's if you're not a genius though…"

While saying that, I flicked her on the forehead before I proceeded to wrap up the bento boxes for myself and Miu.

"Here, your bento. Put it inside your bag and let's go to school."

"Un! Thank you, onii-chan!"

Seeing the bright smile on her face, I suddenly remembered the time when I first met her and our older sister, Shizuka.

(Shun's POV)

"Where are we going Dad?"

I tried to ask Dad while slightly shivering. Spring just came so the surroundings are still cold at the time. I still remember that Dad dragged me to go outside while I'm practicing karate at a nearby dojo, a few weeks after spring came.

He even told me to pack my things after reaching our apartment so everything back then was confusing and sudden.

"We're going to meet your new mother and sister."

I was definitely surprised but I also thought at the time that my father does deserve to be happy.

After we drove through a few districts, we finally came to a halt in front of a house that seems to be new. The sign in front of the house says "Shirakami".

As Dad parked the car in front of the house, he started telling me some things that I should remember before entering inside the house.

"Son, you should behave and be polite to your two new siblings, okay?"

"Yes!"

I don't have any qualms about having new siblings. As long as they're not annoying and devilish, I'll put up with them.

Dad gave me a few pointers before we proceeded to enter inside the house, where we met a trio of females. The oldest one is a gentle and demure looking woman who's radiating a very mature and homely aura.

On the other hand, the second oldest is a girl of around 10 years of age. She's the splitting image of her mother, with black hair that goes down until her elbows, bangs that goes past her thin eyebrows, big and round doe eyes with double eyelids, a beauty mark under her left eye, and two forelocks that goes slightly past her shoulders.

The young Shizuka-nee is really cute, I tell you. She's as beautiful as Miu but, minus the energetic vibe.

On the other hand, the youngest among them is my little sister, Miu. Ever since she was young, she's always been energetic.

What's more, Miu really likes to play games ever since she was young.

"Are you my new onii-chan~?"

"Uh, yeah. I guess?"

"Really? Then then, let's go play! I have the game Street Brawlers game on console!"

"Miu-chan~. Don't be rude to our new brother…"

While walking to our school, I suddenly heard a notification sound ring inside my head. Then, after that, a transparent screen appeared right in front of me.

「You received 1x [Newbie Pack]…」

※ This is the real start of the story. I want to go slow and steady so there won't be any major time skips like this. I skipped it since I tend to go into a really long tangent whenever I try to write a story starting from when the MC was a kid. I still remember how my MC is still a seven or eight years old kid when I was already 18 chapters in.
