The Cannons Power

Word had gotten to Thornir that the Warden of the North had besieged Castle Black. Now this information wasn't a surprise considering the North didn't like the Wildlings.

It was the same for the rest of the Seven Kingdoms, The Wildlings are seem as primitive killers, rapists, and thieves by the rest of the Seven Kingdoms which was true a few years ago. But now they are a changed people under the leadership of Thornir.

But even that is not enough to change the world's perceptive of the Wildlings.

So as much as Thornir wouldn't want to do it he must go and fight the Northern Army that is besieging Castle Black. And just because Lord Stark is leading the army doesn't mean anything to Thornir.

He will deal with him as he would any other enemy of the FreeFolk, With death.

So while Thornir and his army makes their way towards Castle Black, The defending army of the Free Folk will place the Cannons on top the walls and bombard the enemy soldiers once they try to attack.

It wasn't until a few days later when the Army of the North could be seen approaching the Castle Walls with makeshift ladders being carried and prepared to storm the Walls of the Castle Black.

But on-top the walls where the Cannons were placed Aranir had looked down at the approaching army with a smile on his face as he signaled for the Cannons to be loaded.

All 40 Cannons were loaded in a matter of seconds as the cannon contained a crew of 12 people each. 4 of them were to operate the cannon, 4 of them were to load the cannon and the last 4 were used as replacements or to help load the Cannon faster.

So once all the Cannons were loaded Aranir dropped his hand as the Cannons released hell onto the approaching Northern Army.

Hearing the loud sounds of the Cannons firing caused the Northern Army to halt, but that was a mistake as seconds later explosions had appeared all around the army formation killing hundreds of soldiers all together.

For those that were just on the edge of the blast radius they just got knocked back but those who got hit directly were blown to bits and pieces all over the Battle Field.

The Northern Horses had started to get scared and begin to panic while the Northern Lord's themselves was looking at the seen wide eyed as what they just saw looked like small explosions of Wild fire.

But that was impossible since the Wildlings should not be able to get their hands on nor make wildfire.

Then while they were trying to figure out what was going on another volley had hit the formation causing the Army to no shatter and run back to the camp.

The Northern Lord's didn't even try to stop them as they did the same too.

They don't know what those strange explosions was but whatever it was it would be a problem as it killed and injured nearly 1k soldiers in just 2 volleys.

So once they got back to the camp they immediately informed Lord Stark of this situation who was equally as surprised since there should not even be Wildfire this deep into the North.

Lord Stark didn't know what it was that caused this but now the siege just got a lot harder than it was originally supposed to be which leaves him with no choice but to wait on the King's Army to attack Castle Black which should be here in a months time.

The battle hadn't even truly started and already the Morale of the soldiers had dropped. This was something that couldn't be prevented since not knowing what killed those hundred's of soldiers had sparked fear into the rest of the army since what if that same thing happened to their camp.

It would be a massacre as they could be able to do nothing but run away.

So for the Northern Army what was an easy victory had turned into an extended siege that would last months.
