The Outcome

"How Fucking Stupid," Anthony said as he sat on a bench in the dark locker room. He laid his leg over the bench as he adjusted the ice bag. His breath was all over the place as he tried to calm himself down.

Silence.

It was filled with silence for a while before footsteps were heard walking towards the room. Soon, the door opened, and a dark blonde head peered through the open door.

Anthony turned his head to look over his head and couldn't help but look annoyed.

"What do you want Nathan…"He spoke as Nathan walked into the room fully. Nathan stood there for a while and then turned on the lights before looking back at Anthony with a smile.

"What do you mean" He began as he sat cross-legged on the floor in front of the bench that Anthony was sitting on. "I came here to console my little brother of course." He continued as he looked up at Anthony.

"It seems as if you're here to ridicule me more than console" Anthony responded to which Nathan just shrugged helplessly.

"Well, it's not my fault my dumb younger brother didn't take the match seriously beforehand," Nathan added as he chuckled before looking at Nathan with a serious expression.

"You know…" He began as he let the words sit for a while. "You could have easily won that match if you had taken care of yourself," Nathan said to which Anthony looked away.

"He was playing with you the whole time. It seemed as if he wasn't trying but in all actuality… He was tiring you out the whole time." Nathan kept on talking as Anthony could only look down defeated.

Anthony knew everything Nathan was saying was true and he couldn't deny any of it. After taking the Fifth ranking he was happy, but soon he just became tired of it. He didn't mind the constant challenges coming his way but every player was always mediocre at best.

He stopped practicing as much as he did before. The only reason he stayed as ranked five was because he didn't want a mediocre person in the top five and at the same time there were tournaments the top had and it was something he didn't want to miss out on.

Eventually, Nathan stopped as Anthony started thinking to himself. It was silent for the longest as Anthony was thinking. Nathan didn't interrupt him and just sat there with an amused smile on his face.

Nathan could read his younger brother like a book. He knew every little thing Anthony was thinking about and smiled. Soon he stood up and ruffled Anthony's hair.

"Let's go" Nathan finally spoke as he picked up Anthonys' duffel bag. Anthony also started to get up. As they were getting ready to leave Nathan soon heard his phone buzzing. Pulling out the phone he looked at the recent notification which was a text from Sean.

"On second thought, let's wait it out for a while," Nathan said as Anthony looked at him confused. "Sean said the place is surrounded by paparazzi. They want to know how the 'former' ranked five is feeling right now." Nathan added as he set the bag back down.

"Fuck this shit" Anthony sighed as he looked at the door for a while. "Let's just go, they'll make me look like a sour loser if I just stay here without having at least one interview," Anthony added as he began walking towards the door.

Nathan shrugged and followed Anthony but as soon as he opened the door.

"Anthony Reins!!"

"Can we have a minute of your time!!!"

"How does it feel to drop out of the top five!!"

The questions didn't stop.

"Fuck this…."Anthony muttered as Nathan smiled at the paparazzi in front of them.

*****

"It hasn't even been an hour…" Erin said as he was looking through Sean's phone. The outcome of the match was everywhere.

"That's just how it is," Sean said as he laid on the couch in the main living room. They had left before the match ended since it became obvious who the winner was.

Erin sat near him as Sean took the remote and turned on the TV. The first thing playing on the TV was the news which talked about the Outcome of the match.

They even showed footage of the whole stadium and saying it was a mess would be an understatement. People were still in the stadium running around screaming their heads off while trying to get closer to Adam.

What made it worse was the paparazzi acting just like the fans as they tried to get an interview with Adam.

"I feel bad for the security guards right now" Erin commented as he watched the poor guards trying to do their job. One of them even got hit over the head with a bag, while another one had gotten spit on by a fan.

Erin and Sean had left the stadium before the match ended as they didn't want to be a part of the mess.

"I'm surprised you didn't get stopped at all when we were leaving," I said while looking over at Sean.

"After years of dealing with fans and paparazzi, I know my way around it without getting caught," Sean replied looking as proud as ever.

"I think you dealing with twins helped more" I muttered to which he spun his head towards me as I kept my eyes on the TV refusing to look at him.

"You fucking brat." Sean finally said after a while.

"You shouldn't curse in front of your son" Erin replied with a smirk on my face and he turned to look at him.

Sean's eye twitched as he scoffed and turned back to the TV "I wonder where my sweet son who could hardly control his emotions went.." Sean muttered.

"He got used to his new dad and found ways to blackmail him," Erin said and smiled at Sean.

Sean flicked Erin's forehead with a smirk on his face as the father and son went back to watching the news which now showed Anthony walking out with Nathan following behind him.
