He experience suppression and oppression.

He had witness killings. Had fought in war and life hanging on a string.

He had experienced it and so as Li Wei. He was, of course, one of the people who stab her using a sword during her lesson or training.

He never wanted to that. He was controlled. Watching that girl bleeding in front of him make him dead on the inside.

He had interacted with her several times before. She was just an innocent girl who was eager to learn. Once she had her lesson. Everything of her seems to fade. Her bright smile turns gloomy and straight. Her shining eyes diminish as if they were covered by dark clouds.

He was unable to do anything for her as the Queen started manipulating her. She obeys every order and in the end always end up battered in bruises.

Every day, Rob notice her changes. Her cold glistening eyes and her lunatic and excited expression when she kills someone. As if she wasn't herself.

[ "Rob, don't kill him that way. Kill him this way." ]

[The 17-year-old Li Wei said, stopping Rob to kill the man easily. She walked towards them and she shows Rob how to kill a person in the 'right' way.]

[One by one, she slowly cut off the man's fingers. Despite his screaming, Li Wei just smiled at him while cutting his fingers using her dagger. ]

[She turned to look at Rob who's still not at that time, a General.]

[ "Since they were going to disappear in the face of the world, why not slowly tortured them to death?" ]

[Rob shudders after hearing that.]

Since the sun hasn't risen yet. Ye Sa had been waiting for Li Wei to come out.

As the person who lost in a match, he should do whatever the winner has said. That is the second rule here in the borderland.

If the winner wanted you dead. Then you should kill yourself. If the loser didn't obey the winner, he will receive the heavens wrath. You will be struck by 12 powerful lightning and thunder. You will still end up dead.

It's better to die by your own hands than angering the will of heaven.

The door open with a click causing Ye Sa to stand up to wait for the person to exit.

Li Wei looked at the man with furrowed brows.

"Miss Li, I'm here to follow your orders. As the loser in the match. I will do anything you said." Ye Sa solemnly said.

Li Wei's brows furrowed even further.

What is this? Some kind of of scheme?

Once Ye Sa saw the dark look of Li Wei, he immediately explains.

"That is the second rule of the borderland. If one was lose, he or she should follow what the victor have said."

Li Wei then replied coldly, "I don't need anything from you. So you may go." She turn around to close the door but was stop by Ye Sa.

"That girl...she's a normal human, right? Why are you bringing her there? Its dangerous on the upper lands. She will die." He advice kindly.

Li Wei turn her body sharply and said, "She is my friend! And if danger comes, I promise here that I will protect her!"

Ye Sa turn silent. He saw an unyielding personality at her. Her eyes that looks neither cold nor warmth.

He was move by her words. And he said, "Then, let me go with you."

Li Wei looked back at him with "What" expression written on her face. Snapping back of her wits after a second, she began to think.

"Why?" She questioned. She doesn't know him. They doesn't know him. So, why would she accept?

"I want to go up there too. I am already a Martial Disciple. I wanted to traverse the world and become even more stronger. I don't want to be stuck here forever."

"I can protect that girl. Even you and the others. I can protect you."

Ye Sa said sincerely. He can't read Li Wei's emotionless face.

If she said no, he will be stuck here in the borderland forever.

"Your family. Are you going to leave them?"

Ye Sa instantly gave her a bitter smile. His family had long been gone since the war between the Dragons and the Phoenixes.

"I don't have any family."

"Fine. Go with us. In exchange for protecting Qi Shuang." Li Wei said and closes the door gently.
