the vow

Annabel was so happy she was finally out of the hole she had thrown herself into. She silently vowed never to jump or crawl into anything in a bid to hide. She took another glance at the room and was happy to see it again.

Master!.

She crawled slowly towards his bed but he wasn't there.

Where could he be? Had he gone out in search for her?.

She thought as her weak eyes gave up on her and closed.

Alac was shocked to see her lying there weak and breathless. In fear, he ran close to her to feel if she was still alive and breathing. He placed his ear on her chest and could hear the slow rhythm it gave out. He brought his hand under her nose and felt the escape of air as she breathed in and out. Her lips looked too dry to him.

Water!.

He thought then ran towards his table jar, poured some into the cup beside it and rushed back to her. He gently placed the cup on the bare floor before scooping her up gently into his arms in a sit up order.
