Her trust

Mackie was scared when he thought of the fact that Anny trusted him enough to jump down risking her own life so as to be with him. 

What if he miscalculated and she fell down ? 

What would have happened to his beautiful Anny? 

What was important now was for him to get her to a safe place where no one would see them together.

He hugged her tight and kissed the top of her head before they left.

On getting to the garden Mackie looked around carefully so no one would see them leave the garden to the vineyard together.

Guards guarding the estate were walking around the area and they had to stop and hide behind a rose bush to stop the guards from seeing them, they finally made it out of the guard's sight and they were finally in the vineyard properly they walked for two minutes or so before Anny was already exhausted from the daily chores and doubted that she could walk any longer.
