I'm sure that Rose was glaring at me hard from the kitchen–after all, I had nearly spilled the beans. Well, I didn't actually.
Truth be told, I was sticking to my role as Castor Lowel–which was a terrible name in hindsight–and decided to give some truth to Miss Sprin in order to have her leave the premises.
That was my goal.
Invite the adventurers and make them realize that there was nothing more but just strange and odd fellows living together in the middle of a wasteland.
Compared to Rose and Keira, I was probably the best at making up false truths at the spot.
I wouldn't compare myself to Eleanor because she was probably at an expert level at it, but despite Rose's glare–she would have probably messed up more than I had.
Luckily for Keira, all she had to do was act cute and pretty.
And most of the adventurers for all their wits and smarts–were easily distractible with a beautiful young woman.
