Lisa was seated on the sofa scrolling away on her phone, she ignored Arsenal's voice and knocked on the door, while waiting for her man to show up. To her, this was a lot better than making out with the loser to make the scene more believable.
Once she noticed the shadow of a person from the window, Lisa stood up Immediately. Her expression changed, scared and overwhelmed was what she intended to portray.
Even before Edmond could open the door, she already did, and threw herself on him while sobbing in his arms like a frightened child,
"He almost took advantage of me!" She cried.
"Where is the fool?" He asked her. There was no time to sympathize with his girlfriend while that culprit was still around, he could always do that later.
His hands were already itching, and as soon as Lisa pointed to the door where she had locked Arsenal, he hurriedly walked toward it like a beast who had just been angered.
Meanwhile, inside the room, Arsenal's heart raced as he overheard her talking to Edmond, he didn't need anyone else to tell him what had happened. He was framed, but why?
He had done nothing against Lisa to make her get him into trouble with her boyfriend. In fact, he couldn't think of anyone who hated him that much. Sure they all mocked him for being a pauper, but he never offended anyone.
Arsenal took a few steps backwards when he heard the door being unlocked, he only hoped to vindicate himself or run away, because Edmond may not give him a chance to explain himself.
"Where the hell are you?" Edmond raged as he flung open the door. His gaze fell upon the feeble students by the corner of the room, attempting to hide behind a lampstand.
"Listen… please it's not true, I did not try to do anything, she told me to…
"Shut up!" Edmond silenced him, kickang the lampstand across the room. And right there, Arsenal knew that he was a dead man.
Edmond was a man of few words, he spoke with his fists, so keeping him with meaningless chats was a waste of time, even Arsenal was aware.
His body shook in horror as Edmond stared at him from head to toe, he was wondering why the towering beast hadn't crushed him to death yet, but those thoughts were disrupted when Edmond lifted him off the ground.
He tossed Arsenal across the room like a bean bag, and for the first time, Arsenal knew what it felt like to fly, but the end result was pain as he crashed into Lisa's stack of books she never read.
"It's not true, I swear, she framed me!" Yelled Arsenal, but Edmond was not listening.
As soon as he got closer, the young student punched him in the face. It was just a quick distraction so that he'd get a few seconds to run out of the room. And thankfully, he succeeded.
Lisa stood in his path, but he pushed her to the ground and ran as fast as his legs could carry him until he was out of the room and in the hallway.
"I knew something was up," He thought to himself, feeling like an idiot for being tricked like this. If he isn't careful, he might end up in the hospital, or even worse, in the grave.
As he ran through the hallway which was now crowded by students, Arsenal tried to navigate through the clusters without bumping into anyone.
Most of them were curious to know why he was running like that, but their questions were answered when they saw Edmond running after him from afar.
Now they were only curious to see how it'll end. But from what they could see, Arsenal was far off and he'd probably get to safety before Edmond could get to him.
That's what everyone thought, until Alfred came out of the crowd, and pushed Arsenal from the side. This was a deliberate attempt to make him fall to the ground so that Edmond would catch up, but Arsenal was not aware.
He thought that Alfred had pushed him by accident, yet his fall was so bad that getting back up wasn't that easy. He sprained his ankle in the process and the excruciating pain was too much to bear.
Arsenal was a little bit relieved knowing that he was amidst numerous people, at least one person might save him from Edmond or call the school security if they were too afraid to face him.
However, that was not the case. They all stood at a distance and watched Edmond grabbed him off the floor and pinned him to the wall. No one dared to question Edmond when he punched Arsenal numerous times across the face and caused him to bleed from the nose.
Some students even laughed when the renowned bully tossed Arsenal across the hallway. Not an ounce of sympathy was found amongst them.
Lisa arrived on the scene as well and what she saw made her jaws drop. She knew that Edmomd would get offended, but she never expected him to be this brutal.
"I owe you one, I swear," Alfred whispered from behind her, clearly pleased with the results.
"If anything happens to the rag boy today, then it's all in your hands," she replied,
"I have nothing to do with it."
Lisa turned around to walk away, but a young lady bumped into her,
"Hey, watch it!" She scolded and forced her way through the crowd without looking back.
Meanwhile, Arsenal could feel the life slowly slipping out of him. For some reason, his body became numb to the pain, and his breathing started to cease.
For a split second, his brain recollected all of his best and worst memories, but then he heard a familiar voice call out to him,
"Arsenal!"
He knew it was Bethany, but unfortunately the voices began to fade and soon, he was drawn into what seems to be the eternal sleep.
