Chapter 3

"Your Highness, be carefull you might hurt yourself " The knight can no longer hide his worries anymore as Eleanor won't stop swaying the sword for 2 hours without any break. She started to stumble due to fatigue.

"Ruth!! What did I said about formality? I will surely locked you in the stable if you keep forgetting my name." Eleanor decided to stop for now as Ruth started to nag and she hates it the most.

"Call me El as I will always and only be El" Eleanor has long decided to live her life in her own way screwing all formalities.

"Pardon me, El. Let us continue our training later."

"My my what a fuss you are making now Ruth." Eleanor walked towards Ruth, the muscular knight who grown up together with her in this abandoned palace.

The tree is located behind the horse stable and had become her favourite spot for training in the last 3 years. Living alone in an outcast palace after the death of the her mother, abandoned by the King and nobles, Eleanor treated Ruth as her own family as he too was born from a mother from the same country as Late Princess Amelia.

"You know Ruth, I don't even remember when is the last I met my father and now he told me to involve with political marriage. Am I a joke to him? What his name again?"

Eleanor sat on the grass beside Ruth, looking at the blue sky who whispers hope.

Ruth who already know about the letter before starting the sword training too was shocked and felt pity for Eleanor but being a mere knight, he is useless for her.

"The name is Sir Winter, the knight who brought countless victory for this country.

Smiling, Ruth looked straight at Eleanor.

"Is he that good? Have you met him?"

"I never met him but he is famous among the knights, all wanted to marry their daughters off to Sir Winter but he declined them all. He is told to posessed dark noirette hair as the night and hazel eyes which is bewitching enough to win all females he ever crossed."

"If he is that good why does he agreed to this nonsense engagement." Eleanor let a sigh.

"You matched him perfectly El. Your beauty is deadly you know it." swallowing a bitter truth, Ruth had to admit the fact that Eleanor's beauty deserve someone as good as Sir Winter.
