Battle Royale Streamer in an Apocalyptic World

Okay, before you drop a review before reading this novel, let me just tell you this novel won't be about reading others playing games via a novel nor is it a fan-fic, but rather it's about someone who was known for being a god in PUBG carrying his playstyle and survival instincts into the real world when the apocalypse took place. This book is inspired by Code Geass, Gundam Seed, Gundam 00, and PUBG. Okay, now for the real synopsis, after battle royale games went mainstream and PUBG & Fortnite took it to staggering heights in popularity, streamers of this game were also brought in to share the spotlight. Amongst all PUBG streamers, the group Big D Brings Spring stood at the top, with the squad consisting of Phantom Pen15, Ricedoctor, Dildo Swaggins, and Givemethatchicken. So yeah, these guys were streaming PUBG, making good money, and suddenly sh*t hits the fan and the apocalypse happened. Is Big D gonna bring spring this time? Or is it gonna go limp and flap in the wind? Already familiar with survival, scavenging and battle royale style gameplay, can these ding dongs use what they learned in video games to survive in this new world, not be retarded, farm up, and rise up against the forces behind the apocalypse? Author Note: Yeah it’s a fiction, first time writing, but have been translating for 2 years now on both good and trash novels (one of the best and one of the worst on Webnovel), which taught me what to do and what not to do. Now the first question is, based on the username in the squad Big D Brings Spring, which ethnicity is each from? First 10 people that guesses right gets free boner- I mean bonus chapters and early access for a month. Post your answers in the form of 5-star reviews, and the winner will be announced when the novel reaches 2M views. Cover designed by DylanWE from DeviantArt.

Waw What a Nice Person and What's on TV Tonight?

John was speechless. He still couldn't wrap his head around what just happened. Moments ago, his boss and peers were dying before his eyes, and now the murderer of his comrades was gifting him two boxes of bullets.

After carrying the bodies of his peers onto the truck, they left, not knowing other than a "thanks".

Jay wasn't a saint, he just gave what he could spare in an attempt to bury the hatchet with those gang members. As Alex confirmed, those guys were in a quite desperate state. Since they were obviously well-armed, the Game Master of Nirvana probably targeted locations like theirs especially hard. Now, with fewer survivors, the 500 bullets should be just enough to get them through the upcoming zombie wave, but not enough to come back to haunt them down the road.

The others understand Jay's intention and didn't question further.

"Oh sh*t, the crate already landed, so quiet like a fart!" Christian was clearly surprised and was eager to open it up.

The group got to the crate, and following the instructions, they scanned the QR code with Jay's phone which made the purchase.

"Wait, nothing's happe-"

Pa!

One side of the crate dropped down, almost hitting Alex in the foot. Looking inside, the group saw their items neatly placed in wooden boxes.

There were the suppressors, tablet, and the afterbite package.

"Woah, this is actually pretty neat, you get this syringe which I hope contains the antidote or something along that line, and you also get the first aid stuff and some ointment," Christian opened the afterbite package and said, as Elon went to get the box that labeled Nirvana Tablet.

"Oh what the f*ck, it's initiating setup and installing updates... Seems to be pretty slow, can we survive long enough to see it finish?" Elon was speechless.

"I guess we just have to wait, let's see what's going on," Jay suggested and began moving the supplies into the house.

Alex turned on the TV, and the channel was on FOX news for some reason, which was known as the most biased news outlet in North America. The reporter on TV was claiming that Homeland Security had located the broadcasting station for the signals that were controlling everyone's smart devices and disrupting cellular service.

"Wait... what is going on..." Christian went onto YouTube, and he saw the trending page filled with all kinds of traditional media news channels like ABC, NBC, live streaming what appeared to be the scene of the so-called broadcasting station of Nirvana.

Much to everyone's surprise, the location was actually at the Statue of Liberty, the goddess that overwatches the east shore of the United States.

The group muted all other channels and just watched from the TV, and since they were late to the party, it seemed like Homeland Security was already on the move, as the speedboats loaded with troops were approaching Liberty Island, while missile vehicles waited on standby.

"Ladies and gentleman good evening, we ask the citizens of the United States to stay indoors for their own safekeeping while the situation remains fluid. However, let there be no doubt that every relevant police authority and counter-terrorism unit is actively at work at regaining control of our streets. We have located what seemed to be the base of the culprits behind this massive terrorist activity. Within hours, we will secure this country and those responsible will swiftly be brought to justice..." A government official was making a statement on TV in front of all the stations.

Then, all kinds of reporters from different stations began weighing in on how bad terrorism is, and how the nation must stand tall and not give in, and how terrible the people behind Nirvana are.

"What do you think about this?" Christian looked to Jay and asked.

"Moments ago, all lines of communication were compromised, civilian ones and I suspect military ones as well. It means the people behind this are fully capable of cutting the broadcast of this news as well, so I'm guessing, there are only two reasons that all the channels could still be broadcasting this smoothly," Jay analyzed.

"They either don't really care, or they want to show the world how absolute their power is, even in the face of one of the strongest military country on Earth," Elon added.

"Oh Jesus, I sure hope it isn't the second one..." Alex felt a chill down his spine.

The group watched as the troops approached the island, yet just as they entered, the perimeters of the shore lifted up like a lid, and as the ocean water rushed into the opening, so did the speedboats...

Just like that, the first wave of troops became MIA. There was no explosion, no shots, and no blood... Everyone was shocked, as they didn't expect to be countered with what seemed to be such a simple strategy.

The commander was urgently attempting to re-establish communication the troops, but there was no response at all.

Everyone in front of the TV watched with their mouths open, unable to find a suitable expression from their brain to react to what they were seeing.

The air forces were summoned as well, both fighter jets and helicopters were arriving at the scene. Four fighter jets patrolled the airspace, allowing the troops to rappel from helicopters, while some helicopters slowly approached the Statue of Liberty from the top to observe for any abnormalities.

Big fight tomorrow, btw for those of you that are wondering what the schedule for this novel is like, it's going to be 1 chap per day Monday-Friday at 12 PM GMT+8 for now.

As I get more of the story planned out, the rate will increase~

So basically, it's going to be released at the same time as My Youth Began with Him and Dragon King's Son-in-Law, which are the two books my friends and I translate and edit.
