9***Mega Trouble

Great, now they're getting serious! The beast before us was doing a splendid job of blocking all of the cross bow's ammo! And what makes it worst is that the damn gremlin hasn't even left the swamps of Area3 yet!!!

At the edge of the swamp lands though, the X-Gremlin .... stopped?! In all honesty, the big guy was moving so slow, it would take us a while to realize that the thing stopped progressing in the first place! In fact if it weren't for a person standing in front of it as he stopped I would have thought it was still walking!

On that note, what the heck is that idiot trying to do, be a hero?!! That's a freaking Area4 Boss Monster!!! Just how do you plan on stopping it by yourself?!

The unknown player placed is, or her, it looks like a her, hand on the monsters head.

A green essence started to emit from the hands of the person and into the monster!

Then out of nowhere, the gremlin charged after us at full speed! (Which is quite fast in case you're wondering.) It closed the distance between us in under a minute!

"AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHH" A deafening roar went off overhead as the X-gremlin swung his arm at us in a stone-crushing punch!

"Defenders! At the ready!" A commanding voice rang over all of the players, effectively disabling any fear that may have been struck into them and setting their minds back in focus mode.

"Hold your ground! Don't let him get past at any cause!!!"

The punch met us head-on, but we took the hit like champs! Essence flooded our veins with a vigor, and newfound strength flew through me! And I wasn't the only one! Everyone of the defenders was holding on barring the resistance of the behemoth! And with the combined effort of all defenders present we managed to push it off without losing our formation much!

"Motivate, eh? So he has Speech Mastery?!" I thought as I Mr. Macabee called to another group, causing their states to raise as the buffs took effect!

It was then, while I was observing the dp. lines, that a thought occurred to me, where is Angus?!

It took me one look to find that she was about a foot away from the gremlin, on her bum, seemingly frozen in shock! Damn, what is she doing?! She's gonna die if she doesn't move!

"Close combat and range attackers, prepare to attack!" Macabee yelled out. I didn't hear him, however, as I charged right after my fallen comrade!

"Angus! What are you doing?! Move!!!" I shouted at her, pumping my feet as fast as I could!

At the same time though, the gremlin saw her too, and sent its chunky fist flying at her!

'I'm not gonna make it in time!' I thought to myself as I ran on, hopelessly watching the X-gremlin's fist get ever closer to her relatively puny frame!

It was then when I saw the look in her eyes and her stance and saw something I never expected to see. Solid drive

She dived and rolled the moment the arm came for her, causing it to miss by inches!!! I almost collapsed in relief! Well, almost...

Before I could even think of relaxing, the arm that tried to squish that crazy purple haired idiot continued right along without stopping... and right into me!!! I barely managed to get both of my shields and my dagger out to try and block it, but I took heavy damage and flew regardless!

"Aaahhhh!!!"

Angus snapped her head around at my voice and let out a startled gasp at the sight of me getting yeeted, then she took off running!

By the time she reached behind the defense line I landed back-first into a stall, the wind getting knocked out of me as I felt something in my back crack!

'Well this is it, the moment I die. It's been a good run. If only I was stronger. If only I had more time. Would I have been of better service to this cause? Who knows.' Those were my final thoughts as I watched my hp get drained from full all the way down to ze....
