Firefight

The officer shot his pistol at Jose that miss and nearly hit his head

The sergeant sees it and he orders his whole squad to open fire

"OPEN FIRE!!!" The squad sergeant shouted

The whole squad fire their rifles at them, the soldiers tried to fight back but they got massacred by their advanced weapons

The officer ran back to the half-tracks and command the crew to fire their machine guns

"Man the 50!" The sergeant shouted

The 50 cal from the Humvee open fire at the half-tracks, the 50 cal bullet pierced the half-tracks armor and the crew in it have been killed

The officer had managed to escape the fight and he's heading back to the station

The expeditionary force has destroyed the whole squad in seconds, tho the squad sergeant knows that he might go back for reinforcement

So he decided to fall back and report to command about what happened, they drove away to the town and started to head back to Barandia

Somewhere in the Military base in Barandia (North Barandia)

In the military office, a 40-year-old General is sitting in his office reading the report to the officer who was sitting in front of his desk about a strange squad of vehicles and soldiers who had to enter a small town near to the south and their commanding officer had said that they were in Barandia and tried to kill him but he misses and the unknown soldiers fired back and decimated his army

"So you are saying they're from Barandia right?" The General said to the officer

"yes sir there were" The officer replied

"Are you sure there are not from Asyrian or the Alustiano federation?" The General asked

"No sir there not, their weapons and their vehicles are very advanced unlike them" The officer replied

The General pondered a bit about what can he do about it

"Where do they go exactly?" The General said

"The last thing they went is they headed south probably heading back to their base" The officer replied

"But there wasn't anything from there, it's just only the ocean," The commander said

The officer thinks further until he answered

"What about sending a recon aircraft there?" The officer replied to the General

"How can I be sure I can trust your idea?" The general questioned

"How about this, We can send the recon aircraft to the south to the ocean and see if there is anything in there" The officer answered

"I'm not sure about that, we are focusing on expanding our empire and destroying our enemies into ashes but sending our recon aircraft to find where the unknown soldiers go is kind of wasting our fuel" The general explained

"Why don't we give it a shot about this then, trust me it will be worth it" The officer said

"(sigh) Fine, I will send the recon aircraft by tomorrow, you are dismissed" The general

"(salute) yes sir" the officer said and left his office

"I wonder where these unknown soldiers come from?" The general said in a low voice

Barandian border 12:00 P.M

At the border, the expedition team returns after the whole encounter with the officer in the town

The commanding officer Jose exit the pandur II and met up with the lt. col.

"So how'd it go?" The lt. col. said to Jose

"It was terrible, We went to the town where we try to speak to the locals and then a group of half-tracks blocked the road and an officer from that town have pulled a gun on me and tried to shoot me in the head, Luckily he missed and my platoon has suppresed them all and the officer escaped reporting on what happened" Jose explained to lt. col. in disbelief

"We should report this to high command!" the lt. col. said

The whole expedition team headed back to base and Jose was so shocked that he had to take a break on going back there again
