Story 3 Kitsune in Teyvat Chapter 9

I wasn't sure if having Shenhe with me on my self-appointed journey was the greatest idea to be honest... But having a superhuman leaping across the countryside easily taking me across a vast distance that would take me literal days with my own supernatural abilities in a single day.

Made her joining me worth it at least.

'She gives good headscratches as well.' I thought as I finally escaped Shenhe's arms and took upon my human form with only my white and orange tipped kitsune tails and ears marking me as a supernatural being. "Ok ok, Mondstadt is in the distance now," I said almost petulantly as I could clearly see Shenhe's hand form a claw shape as she fought the urge to scratch my ears and tails that were twitching as I stretched in my human form.

Once Shenhe got over the natural instinct to smother me with affection seeing my cute actions, she said in her typical soft spoken but flat manner. "And? Was there something outside of Mondstadt you wanted to get?" 

I blinked and shook my head and then Shenhe's hand gently landed on my head again and I whined as her now practised hand scratched behind my ears. "Then come. You wished to speak with another child named Klee correct?" She asked softly and I dumbly nodded and before I could react she picked up in a princess carry and leapt forward from the mountain top we were overlooking the city of Mondstadt that was built upon the large island in the center of the nearby lake.

She finally let me free of her evil clutches when we got to the large bridge that cross over the lake that Mondstadt was built in the center of, and once we reached the large gate of Mondstadt I cheerfully waved at the guards who blinked at my beautiful fluffy tails that swished from behind me. "Hello honorable guards!" I said happily and seeing them look at one another with a weird look I continued. "I am from Inazuma and I have come bearing a message from the Traveler, Lumine for the Acting Grand Master, Jean." I spoke formally.

I could feel Shenhe's eye's piercing the back of my head but regardless... I kept going.

"Uhh sure little guy." One guard said with a wry smile as he looked at the other guard and shrugged before saying with some humor. "One of the more interesting things we saw this week... So go on ahead little man, just sign your names in and you are free to go in." He said handing over a registry.

While Shenhe signed it with a beautiful script, I being a cheeky little shit morphed back into my kitsune form while ignoring the now nervous guards as I took out some ink dabbed my paws into it and then stamped the sign-in sheet instead of using my name.

"There! My super soft paws are one of a kind. So even if I used a false name or hid under an illusion you can always find me by checking all the foxes in the world for my paw pads!" All the while after I changed forms, I used an illusion on myself to form a short-lived clone that spoke those lines, so my now invisible self could sneak into Mondstadt properly alone.

'Now who do I recruit for a foreign terrorism cell...' I thought as I leapt across the buildings of Mondstadt using my grace in my kitsune form to remain undetected by the humans below me.

Running into the restaurant side of Mondstadt, I froze as a devilish idea struck me at the sight in front of me. Sitting at a restaurant's table was a younger girl. A teenager wearing a purple body glove with blond hair.

I dashed while carefully climbing into the seat opposite hers making her blink along with the large purple raven that sparked with electro power beside her. "Oz... Do mine eyes deceive me? Has a most handsome and beautiful fox landed in front of mine august self?" She asked and I couldn't help but giggle at her chunni as hell manner of speaking making both the large raven and the girl's widen.

And I went full bore. I had an idea and I was all for it. "Oh, great princess of this land. I see you bear thine blessing of my adopted mother the Raiden Shogun." I spoke grandly and the vision mounted beneath my throat tied to the handsome collar around my neck glowed as my fur arced with a brief jolt of purple lightning to prove my words.

As Fischl remained stunned I continued. "Mine mother, queen of all that behold the lightning's glare, has sent me on a grand quest. And in doing so, she gave me tidings of great allies I could make. For my grand quest which will cement me as a worthy heir to her throne." 

Fischl's single eye, uncovered with the an ornate eye patch went wide at my words and she finally reacted with a wide smile crossing her face as she spoke. "Oh? And what great quest do you have young kitsune of Inazuma? Do you entreat me Fischl, The Prinzessin der Verurteilung, Sovereign of the Immernachtreich as a fellow royal? Or as a man yet unproven in their trials?" 

The raven coughed and then said with a rather relaxed voice. "What mein Fräulein means is. She wishes to know if this is an official request from the Inazuma government, the Raiden Shogun, or merely a personal request from yourself for our assistance." 

Fischl pouted and threw the raven a glare and muttered under her breath sharply "Oz!" 

But the raven remained unruffled to her complaint and likewise I ignored its explanation as I spoke in turn. "Nay, it is fine! I am yet untested, but I crossed the great sea on a large boat while unfettered by the winds and unbeholden to the sea's depths... I used a mighty mount to traverse all of Liyue in but less than a single day, and now I am here to recruit you the Prinzessin der Verurteilung, and another to save the Dendro Archon from her seal from which she has been sealed within for the last five hundred years!" I said grandly at the great quest before us.

There was a pause and then Fischl burst into cheer as she stood up proudly and tossed a small bag of Mora onto the table as she stood up. "Then the contract is sealed! I Fischl von Luftschloss Narfidort. And my familiar of the night, Ozvaldo Hrafnavins, will safeguard your path ahead, for fate has revealed to me that this be decreed!"

Good... I got another electro user. "Alright... Now we need to break Klee out of prison! So she can be the bomber to blow up the evil seals that bind the goddess of wisdom in eternal slumber!" 

And thus Fischl regally carried my kitsune form into the back half of Mondstadt, towards the Knights of Favonuis building with her raven Oz perched on her shoulder. With tiny sparks of Electro sparking off her with three Electro users in such a short vicinity.
