Chapter 1: Rebecca’s Muslin.

It had been a few days since Fiona sold the establishment to the young man and for the following days of redecoration and the installation of the new signboard that read 'Rebecca's Muslin', she hadn't really left her room.

She could hear the commotion of people going back and forth in rushed footsteps on the first floor, together with the sounds of shuffling boxes and the constant influx of workers through the rear storage room attached to the establishment.

According to the schedule, Rebecca's Muslin was commencing its first business night today and she was rather anxious. She hadn't confronted the public in a very long time after the unfortunate death of her husband, and she couldn't imagine the fate of a widowed mother in Black Gate.
