Chapter 9

Three people sat at one table , each eating their own meals. First one was a blind girl with blonde hair , the second one was short guy with pale skin, and the last one had emotioneless golden eyes . Truly an incredible trio . Kiyotaka couldnt help but glance at blind Cassia . Cassia's flaw was self evident, she was blind . Looking at her Kiyotaka silently pondered about the nature of Spell.

Why did Spell exist? What was its purpose? How was it fair by blinding Cassia, rendering her chances for survival to near 0? Too many questions yet no answers.

The silence was deafening as no one spoke and preferred to keep silent . Not that Kiyotaka was against it as he just observed his surroundings .

Suddenly, commotion drew the attention of trio .

'What's going on?'

He looked up and noticed that a lot of Sleepers were gathered around the large screen hanging on the wall of the cafeteria, their faces filled with excitement and awe. On the screen, a list of names was displayed, ranking the new batch of Sleepers from weakest to strongest, most likely deduced from the results of the interviews.

Not particularly interested, he quickly found his own name right in the middle of the list. Sunny and Cassia were at bottom . Academy judged them to less likely to survive Dream Realm .

But the commotion was a bit too loud to be just the result of the ranking. Curious, he moved his gaze up. The Sleepers were restless.

"How... how can this be?!"

"I'm not seeing things, right?"

"What kind of a monster is she?!"

Caster was placed in second place. And right above him, the portrait of the silver-haired girl could be clearly seen.

To the right of it, two simple lines of text were displayed:

"Name: Nephis"

"True Name: Changing Star"

'Another one...Me, Sunless and Nephis...3 sleepers with True Names. She may also have Divine Aspect'

Looking around he noticed her at the corner, sipping her coffe with carefree attitude, seemingly oblivious to the commotion she has caused . He also saw Casper looking at Nephis's name with strange, somber expression .

Being the bearer of increadible Flaw that affected his mind with bloodlust, it was easy for him to perceive a very faint killing intent in the eyes of Casper.

'Killing intent directed Nephis?'

Brushing hit thoughts to the back of his mind he left the cafeteria . Walking in the hallways of Academy he sorted the information he gazered on people . Many of youngsters here liked to talk about their Aspects and some even about their flaws . Just being around them and silently listening was enough for him to create a database in his head about all the Sleepers with whom he will go to Dream Realm . His database also included the sleepers psychological state, especially their connection with other sleepers.

Thinking of information he gathered on Caster, he beleived that this person would be one to look out for in the Dream Realm .

After few hours of going through history books his understanding of Changing Star deepened too.

'Immortal Flame Clan..the Sun gods lineage, Nephis's background is truly extraordinary. Speaking of her backgroubd, looks like Casters killing intent is something beyond personal level, probably clan feud , a scheme to kill the Immortal Flame Clans Heirness.

No matter which world...politics will always reign supreme . The politics of this world are based on actual strength, but it was still there.

'I have to make plans in case Caster and Nephis will clash in dream realm. I also have to look out for Sunnless . For now , i will continue killing dormant beasts once a day , gathering more information , studying the history of Spell and Dream realm . Winter solistace is very close'

As days progressed soon it was time for him and others to enter Dream Realm
