All Zed ever wanted to achieve in his life was to become one of the greatest mages of all time. However, reality was cruel as not everyone was equal. No amount of hard work could defeat talent. Similarly, no amount of hard work could change your status in life. Whether you were born a peasant or a noble, that is the destiny you must live on. Zed learned this the hard way but even until his last moments, he refused to give up. After his passing, he woke up to an entirely different world with different values and culture. Would he be able to reach greatness this time? - Volume 1 is more focused in developing the bonds between the characters while volume 2 is where the story will truly begin. Oh and if you can't deal with an old man trapped in the body of a child (MC) and is raising other children but the children in turn, develops romantic feelings for the MC. Then this isn't for you. But don't get this mistaken, there isn't any pedophiliac content. The MC only considers them family.... for now...? Maybe, I don't know. Stay and find out? Up to you. Chapter 107: The Second Stage
'I see... so it was because I luckily stepped on the tilted trunk.'
After thinking about it for some time, Zed was finally able to realize how he was able to exit the first stage.
It turns out that the end of the trunk coincidentally tilted towards the spot that he stepped on. Zed breathed a sigh of relief thinking that he no longer had to make exhausting calculations just to be sure of which chronological pattern would appear along with its next sequential pattern.
"Now then... what's next?"
He was still in a dark space and what changed was the cold environment and the ground he walked on was smooth.
He tried to touch the feeling but all he felt was it's smooth surface.
Other than that, there were no other clues he could gather with his other senses. There were no smell, no sounds, and no other objects that could clue him in what kind of place he was at.
