Chapter 49: Trade

Azula POV:

After accomplishing the mission we ran back to the front lines leaving the building in flames. On the way back we faced many people while Ty Lee and I knocked them out Jack stayed with Mai protecting her. We soon arrived behind the enemy line and seeing them Distracted Jack launched a surprise attack burning their clothes.

Making way we ran to our allies as Mai and Ty Lee went back to the ship I stayed fighting and Jack stayed to watch over me. Seeing his gaze on me made my heart beat faster and without realizing I had a smile on my face. I was soon surrounded by a group of men, two of them wrapped both my wrists holding me down.

Soon the third man covered my feet in ice as he did this I saw Jack running toward me. But before he arrived my whole body and mouth were covered in ice. I soon started to get mad that I the princess was captured so easily trying it burn my way out I was hit in the back of my head losing consensus.

Waking up I was shackled in a prison trying to break free seeing that I could not escape I waited.

Jack POV:

Becoming face-to-face with the chief of the water tribe, Sokka, and the people knew that escape would be hard for me. Becoming awkward as time flew by Sokka demanded that I released Yue along with the chief. Smiling back at them they asked why I smile telling them that this was the first time I was such in a situation. I told them that I would trade a princess for a princess hearing this the chief had a look of anger.

Seeing how hesitant he was I also told him that if he agreed I would take Azula out of this battle and let it be. Hearing that I would leave right after Sokka exclaimed that I was surrounded and that I could not escape. Starting to laugh out loud and scared some people seeing the look of confusion on their faces.

I explained to Sokka that the deal that I offered is the best way that the North Water tribe won't fall. Saying these words the soldiers pointed their weapons at me. Seeing that they were not going to take the deal I told them if they did not accept within the count of 5 I would burn Yue to ash.

To show that I was not lying I placed my hand and wrapped it around Yue's neck starting to count 5, …4, …3, …2, …1. Seeing my hand glow a pale blue the chief accepted. Telling him that he was smart and that I would keep my word and leave this city with Azula and would return back to the capital. But Sokka had other plans hearing the chief accept the deal he started to argue with him.

Sokka POV:

During the battle, one of the buildings in the inner city caught on fire. Trying to put it out I learned that it was holding a lot of documents that were very important. Finding out that it was the enemy the chief sent out 5 of the best benders to capture the once's that caused this.

Seeing the anger on his face I knew something important was there. Seeing them leave I wondered how it was after a while two of the five group returned. They were holding human-shaped ice I don't know looking closer I saw a girl about Katara's age in it thinking that they captured her I went back to the chief.

Asking who they brought back seeing a smile on his face he told me a large playing chip. Still wondering who it was he explained it was Princess of the Fire Nation Azula. Learn of this the memories of Zuko and how powerful he was coming back to me. Soon a soldier came in out of breath explaining that a masked man has Katara and Yue hostage.

As we both heard this our faces changed to anger and worry asking where he was heading he told us the camp. Gathering all the soldiers at the entrance we soon saw them. Looking at the masked man I saw Katara in front of him holding a spear at her back. Seeing me she ran towards me hugging her and asking if she was ok and told me she was as we both look at Yue on his shoulder.

The chief began negotiating with the masked man for Yue's safe returns asking for a trade for Azula and that he would take her and leave and would not come back. Hearing this I explained out loud that he was surrounded and would not leave. He soon began to laugh he told us that he would burn Yue and then slaughter us if we did not agree.

As we all grab our weapons and point them at him grabbing my boomerang ready to throw it at him he grabbed Yue's neck. Starting to count from five to one as he counted memories with Yue began to flash through my mind. Seeing her beautiful smile when I made her laugh as her hair would flow through the wind. Reaching one his hand began to glow a pale blue thinking of the worst about to throw my boomerang. Then the voice of the chief could be heard agreeing to deal.

Hearing this brought me joy then my anger took over me thinking of letting Yue's captive go and not paying him back. Yelling at the chief about letting him go free but when I saw his face I knew that he did not want to but had no choice. Sending a group to retrieve Azula soon silence took over.

Azula POV:

Waiting in the cell for the past hours was boring soon a group of men came in front of me. Seeing a look of anger and disgust on them they began to open the door. Getting on guard just in case they do something they soon replace my chains with handcuffs. Leading me out of the prison and in front of the camp I then saw Jack holding a white-haired girl hostage.

Seeing what he was doing I knew that my freedom was because of this. Seeing how everyone had the look of a distain aimed at Jack then a smirk could be seen on my face.

Jack POV:

Seeing Azula I asked them to release her from her cuffs as the chief gave the order they let her go. Walking towards me I began to lay Yue on the ground. Moving Azula behind me we began to walk away way slowly soon Sokka grabbed Yue seeing that she was ok he brought her back to the chief.

Getting out of their eyesight we began to run back to the ship convoy. Azula began to ask who I had hostage telling her that it was the chief's daughter. Hearing her laugh she asked what the deal was for her freedom telling her that we would leave back to the capital. Telling her this anger could be seen on her face.

Telling me that she would not leave I then gave her a look scaring her.

End.
