Chapter 47: Battle 3

Azula POV:

Waiting for Jack to return Mai asked me if I knew Jack had that type of power. Asking her to be more specific asking about the large fireball that destroyed the wall. Thinking for a bit I told her that I did not know but it's not that surprising if you think about after all he is the second Avatar.

Accepting my answer we began to Talk to pass the time soon Jack arrived and entered the room. Taking a seat I asked him if the fight with Pakku was fun showing a smile. He told us that it was alright but that he managed to escape from him. Seeing that he was in a bad mood he left going back to his room.

After the first attack, we had some casualties but nothing serious compared to the water tribe. Braking their wall on the first day was a surprise to them and were not prepared for it. Planning for the next attack for tomorrow with Head Navy Officer and I came up with something.

A group would take one of the life rafts to go to the opposite side of the city. The group would consist of Mai, Ty Lee, Jack, and me we would sneak in and steal documents that we believe are important. The plan starts once the head office sends everyone to the main entrance to grab their attention after firing a flare.

Katara POV:

After Aang arrived with Pakku Yue and I began to heal him as Aang explained about his attacker called Abaddon. Hearing how powerful he was and how one-sided the fight was. Having my worse nightmare coming true I tried not to think of the worse and focused to heal Pakku.

After stabilizing him I left the spiritual area with Yue as Aang stayed to meditate. Passing through the entrance the first thing I saw was smoke rising in the sky. Looking around I saw many buildings that were once standing a few hours ago were now turned to rubble as a large hole could be seen in the wall.

As tears began to fall from my eye the memories of what happened in the south came back to me. Seeing my mother's death and how almost all the villagers disappeared. Begin to sob Yue grabbed my hand and told me it was going to be alright.

Composing myself we went to the newly set-up military base arriving I met with Sokka hugging me then Yue asking if we were alright. Telling him that we were he told us that the chief wanted to meet with us. We then saw a large tent entering the chief hugged his daughter as he looked at me.

The chief soon began to talk: "I heard from your brother that you have a talent for healing and water bending I have a favor to ask you?" Asking what type of favor he asked me if I could become a combat medic. Hearing this without hesitation I said yes soon a man entered the tent.

He handed the chief pieces of paper looking over it it was a list of names asking what this was he told me that it was the casualties from today. Seeing that he had multiple pieces of paper filled with names. Seeing the names I saw the name Pakku asking why my grandfather's name was on there he told me that he was MIA.

Starting to give his apologies I told him that he was not missing but in critical condition in the spiritual area with Aang. Hearing my words he started to smile saying "you still live." Heading back to the spiritual area he asked how his condition was. I started to explain how seriously injured he was with severe second-degree burns throughout his body. Along with several broken ribs and a fractured skull plundering if he took a large explosion head-on.

Seeing the chief's face change rapidly from worried to anger to fear he asked if we knew who did this to Pakku. Telling him that Aang saw a man with a red mask with golden outlines wearing black and red clothing and that he was called Abaddon. Asking for more information I told him that he was the apprentice of Fire Lord Ozai. Hearing this his face was angry hearing the name Ozai.

Arriving back Aang was still in his meditation state next to Pakku seeing that he was still asleep and safe he left preparing for tomorrow. As the moon was at its highest we all fell asleep.

Jack POV:

Hearing the plan from Azula I sleep early making sure I had enough energy for tomorrow. Waking up I dressed myself and eat with everyone in the mess hall getting some compliments from the fire soldiers soon an alarm began to ring. Knowing that it meant to be prepared for the battle as everyone began to head to the top deck.

Seeing everyone at the top the head Officer began giving a speech grabbing everyone's attention I began to follow Azula and the rest. Arriving at the back part of the ship and entering a life raft we began to go around the city.

Waiting for the flare Azula and I moved closer to the wall placing our hands on the ice. Soon we saw the signal melting the ice and creating a small hole to enter we crawled through. We soon were in an alley getting behind some barrels we saw soldiers rushing to the front lines of the city.

Waiting till it became silence we climbed to the rooftop of the building jumping from building to building and getting closer to the military base. Arriving near the base we landed on the rooftops sneaking in through a window we started looking for documents.

Having almost no guards in the base we found something of a secret alliance with other nations. Grabbing it and putting it in a bag soon we heard someone arriving leaving through the same window. But before we let Azula put the whole room in a blaze burning everything to ash.

Leaving to the front line ran at are fast not worrying if someone saw us taking down any soldier that was in our way.
