Chapter 39: Mission

Heading to the military camp to get a vehicle for the travel. Once we arrived we requested the tank giving our names to the receptionist who lead us to the warehouse. He gave us the key and lot number of our vehicle after seeing the tank we saw how massive it was compared to the previous one.

It was almost 3 times bigger allowing more people to ride at once. When we entered we saw a letter and a messenger hawk in a cage. Azula went and grabbed the letter as she began to read it she explained that her father gave us the improved tank.

She also said that the hawk was for me remembering that he promised me a tank and hawk. Seeing the hawk was all gray with red and black feathers at the end of its feathers. Compared to other hawks this one was a bit bigger by a few inches.

Getting closer and about to touch its beak, Dhara got off Ty Lee and wrapped around me as she sorted to hiss at the hawk. Getting threatened the hawk began to screech and flame its wings to scare off Dhara. Calming them both down I soon heard giggles from the girls as Ty Lee said Dhara is a very jealous girl.

While giggling at me I started to rub Dhara on the head while I did this I also did the same with the hawk. Thinking of a name Azula asked what I would name the hawk asking for gender she told me it was a male. Thinking of a name Mai said how about Apollo thinking it over I agree and so did the rest.

Settling down we explored the tank seeing that there were four rooms two for girls, one for the three workers, and one for me. We also found two restrooms one for us and the other for the mechanics and driver.

Finally heading out of the capital Ty Lee asked how long it would take us to arrive at the bandit camp. I told l her about 2 weeks after finding out she called for Dhara as she went with Ty Lee sitting on the table with Mai and Azula as they played shogi. Thanking this time to train Apollo but once I took him out of his cage he took a seat on my shoulder after a few minutes I found out that he was already trained. Heading with back the rest I took out my flute and played my flute filling the room with music.

Calming everyone and making time go by much quicker after a few hours everyone headed to their room leaving Azual and me by ourselves. When Mai left to her room Ty Lee followed her taking Azual while Apollo was in a corner sleeping. While playing Azula requested a song asking for the name she told me, telling her that I did not know it she told me to play whatever.

Continuing for another hour we both left to our rooms sleeping for the night. The next two weeks passed by like usual doing my warm-ups in my room and stretching with Ty Lee. While Mai and I did speak a few words with one another she usually had her nose in a book. While Azual and I trained a bit with fire bending with candles and enjoyed my flute skills. During this time Dhara got used to Apollo and started to hiss at him less but there's room for improvement to be made.

Finally arriving at the last attack we made camp by a small river after finishing we started to make a plan. Mai gave the idea that the two of us should act like regular civilians having expensive jewelry and clothing. Wondering who she said that Ty Lee and me would be the best when she said this Azual had a frown asking for an explanation.

She explained "Ty Lee would be a better actress compared to us and that she would not attack them if they said something inappropriate. While you and I would have attacked right away ditching the plan. As for Jack, he is the only male in our group and he would act like Ty Lee's boyfriend."

After explaining we all agreed while Azula gave an expression of a little girl that got her toy stolen from her. Changing into more expensive clothing and wearing some spare banquet clothing I packed. As for Ty Lee because she did not pack any high-class clothing Azual and Mai gave some of theirs to dress her up.

After getting dressed we both left our rooms complementing one another as I wore an all-black robe. While Ty Lee wore a beige robe that complemented her figure very well with golden flame earrings from Azula.

Walking on the path with Ty Lee with her arm wrapped around mine as we walked under an umbrella. As we talked I told her that she could not fall in love with getting her to laugh she told me that she would try and said the same thing to me.

As we both giggled Azual and Mai were following us from a distance with Dhara. Mai asked if Azula was fine because she was snippier than usual and answered that she was. Mai thought it was her time of the month remembering hers was not that far away either.

Soon the sun began to set about to get dark soon Ty Lee and I head back on the trail without breaking character. About to arrive where we started a group of 5 men came out of the bushes. When looking at them you could tell that they have not showered in the past few days and had dirt stains covering their whole body.

Pointing swords and staffs at us acting scared Ty Lee hide behind me as she held my hand shaking in fear. While I looked scared behind my mask the bandits demanded all our belongings and to hand over the Ty Lee. Seeing the look of lust and greed in their eyes getting sick of what they imagined to do with Ty Lee.

But as they started to get closer Azula and Mai launched surprised attacks at them. Azula launched a fireball at one of them blasting him away hitting a tree and knocking him unconscious. As Mai threw two bolases wrapping around the man's leg and arms immobilizing him as he fell on the ground face first.

Seeing this I stomped my foot creating a pit as the rest of the bandits fell in. Realizing that they got captured they began to panic trying to climb back up but they kept falling. Tiring up the two top and telling the other three to throw their weapons up as they did I lifted them up. Having their arms up we tied them up questioning them about their group they told us they had more than 60 people. Hearing this Azual asked if they had any benders keeping their mouth shut.

I whistled for Dhara as she began to show her fangs and hiss at them telling them that if they did not tell us what we want I'll let her go. Getting scared and not wanting to get ripped apart by a beast they told us that theirs 20 fire benders and that the leader is the strongest bender.

Asking for their camp they told that it was behind a mountain putting a map in front of them we asked where specifically. Pointing it out Azual wrote a letter asking to borrow Apollo as she put the letter in his pouch. Flying away she told us that she requested a prison transport group to pick up the prisoners.

Asking what to do with the one we captured she told us that we would take them to the village nearby heading them over to the village gourds. After we were done we head to the bandit camp.
