Chapter 28: Aang vs Jack

The third challenge soon commenced as Aang and I entered the arena Sokka and Katara cheered for Aang. About to have their whole body covered in crystal. As we both started to get into our stance and having Bumi as the referee he stated 2 rules killing is not allowed and the first one to be knocked out or submit loses. "Let the fight begin!" Starting I stomped the ground lifting my hands as the whole arena transformed into spikes. But Aang was fast seeing me stomp the ground he jumped in the air and opened his glider.

But for him, it was a bad choice as I launched boulders at him like a catapult. Aang becoming overwhelmed by the constant attacks went for the offensive. Diving down the fastest he could at me but I had other plans I kicked the ground as I sent an earth blad. Aang not wanting to get hit barely dodged it by a hair as he fell onto the ground.

Taking this opportunity I rushed to Aang and confronted him head-on. Swing my fists at him all he could do was dodge or block with his staff. Getting pushed back Aang dodged an axe kick aimed at his head. But as soon as he dodged to the right his foot began to sink into the ground.

Before it covered his whole foot completely he pulled it out fast enough ripping his shoe in half. Applauding him for his efforts and telling him that not many people can make me miss so many times. Telling him "It is true of what they say of the Air nomads they can only dodge but they can't defend themselves even during the war. That's why they all got destroyed so easily know it's your turn!"

Trying to provoke him into fighting me head-on instead of me chasing after him. Knowing full well that all the Air nomads are dead due to their pacifist behavior. But as soon as I said these words Aang came rushing at me. Having my plan succeed I lifted my arm as a wall appeared as I punched it spikes were launched out.

Seeing this Aang on the last second of his charge, slid under my attacks as he went around the wall. But as he went around the wall his face met with my fist. Being launched back several feet away his nose and mouth began to flow out with blood. Holding his face with both hands seeing that he was about to cry. I decided to go a step further to plunge him into despair. "I guess you don't care about what happens to your friends huh? Hay Bumi if I win this match can I keep the girl". Forming a devilish smile as Bumi nods his head confirming it.

Looking back at Aang as his whole world became to crumble and sorrow took over him. Walking toward Aang getting into my stance and taunting him to come at me. But when I did this his tattoos and eyes began to glow blue. As a feminine voice came out of Aang "Vaatu I see you have found yourself a host that suits you greatly". Beginning to glow red as well my tattoos began to glow and a sinister voice came out of me. "Yes I have and one better than yours the last time we fought it was a two vs one now we have even grounds."

As we both rushed to one Another still in control of my body but I noticed that Aang was fully controlled by Raava. Launching earth and wind blade attacks at Raava she blocked them with a wind barrier. As the attacks came one after another seeing them not collide with her I stomped my foot. Soon a large earthquake could be felt causing Raava to lose her balance. Rushing at her I surrounded my fingers with earth smoothing it out.

Seeing me rush toward her she began attacking me with wind blades and earth attacks. Dodging each attack that came to me but I soon became overwhelmed. Creating an earth dome as I dove into the earth. While Raava was still attacking the dome I was soon underneath her as I created several pillars coming from the ground.

Being surprised she dodged as many as she could but was not able to dodge one. Getting hit it wrapped around her holding her in place for a few seconds. For me, it was enough time to get out of the ground and hit several of the pressure points on her arms. Taking her bending away I wrapped my legs around her body slamming her to the ground.

Hitting the rest of her points on her torso as she became immobilized. As I slammed my fist on her chin knocking her out and returning Aang. As I began to walk back to Bumi.

Katara's Pov:

As the fight went on I saw how monstrous Jack was. Only allowing Aang to run and not fight back and if Aang did he attack he would destroy the attack or not let him. Seeing the fight go on I knew Aang would lose and that the only way he would win would be by going into that state. But that would only happen if he got mad. Like the last time when he saw the remains of his monk master.

But when Jack mentioned how weak the Air nomads were and that their deaths were their fault I knew this is what Aang needed to go into that state. But Jack had other plans Aang got provoked and rushed at him but as soon as he got close to Jack Aang got launched several feet away. Thinking he lost Jack began to talk with Bumi wanting to have me if he won.

Getting a blush I began to wonder why he would want me as perverted thoughts began to pass throw my mind. Lost in thought I saw Aang go into the state as his eyes and tattoos began to glow blue. Thinking that Aang has won soon I saw the same thing happen to Jack but instead began to turn Red.

Sokka and I had a shocked look as we could not believe that Jack was also an Avatar. Seeing them both I felt like nothing I know understood something in this battle. "In this world, those with power rule and those that are weak get trampled".

Sokka began to stutter out of control not being able to speak properly.

Seeing their battle we both knew that we need to get stronger. Having the wind and earth collide in the beginning it was a stalemate but soon Aang got the advantage. Forcing Jack into a dome as he kept launching the air blade leaving the dome scared. But in a blink of an eye, the roles were flipped. As earth pillars began to rise and one hit Aang as it wrapped around him.

Soon Jack came out of the Earth hitting Aang on the arms as they both went limp. Seeing this my fears of Jack grew seeing him in control of that power. As he slammed Aang onto the ground hitting his chin and knocking him out. Bumi claimed Aang as the loser and Jack as the winner.

While Jack was walking back to us while Aang was carried away on a stretcher. As we waited Jack walked toward me knowing what was going to happen. But Sokka got in between us and say "if you want my sister you will have to go through me". Sayin that Jack just tapped him with his finger making Sokka fall over.

Getting closer to me he broke throw the crystal and pulled the ring from my finger. As Bumi did the same with Sokka as we were released. Having a curious look Jack began to explain what was happening. He explained that all this was a prank and that we would not have died. But to scare Aang into fighting serious but he did not fight as he expected.

Soon we were led to a large table to eat.
