Attack On Titan: Devil's Presence

The alley was covered in darkness, it was also the time of night. A man with a soldier's uniform hopped his way towards the end of this alley. On his hand was a long blade, which dripped red blood. The path that the man walked, had the trace of blood. And the source, was three corpses, one man and two women around a corner. The man stared at the sky till he reached the open, and soon he disappeared in the darkness. Only his footsteps echoed. --------------------------------------------- This fan fiction is about a character, who as he interferes with the story, learns more about the world. CHAPTER - 6 { Graduation Part-2 }

"Eren, stop it!"

Mikasa stood up and separated Eren and Jean from each other.

Seeing the affection in Mikasa's eyes for Eren, there was a flame of jealousy which ignited in Jean's heart.

"Screw you!"

Jean couldn't hold on and suddenly grabbed Eren by his collar.

"Let go! My clothes will rip!"

"Who cares about your clothes!"

This time the fight between the two was very intense even if it wasn't for blood.

Vlad sighed and quickly ate his food. These days he found that something had happened to him.

The cause was because of the use of unnatural power. More accurately, it was the price of using it.

Over at that side, Eren immediately grabbed Jean's hand and twisted it while kicking with his leg.

This was exactly the same move which had made both Eren and Reiner lose their fight against Annie.

Everyone who was watching it from their own seats were surprised and startled by Eren.

Even Jean didn't expect Eren to make such a move on him but it was already too late.

Vlad narrowed his eyes at this, he directly rushed over towards their side.

Because there was a slight change in the scene. Before Jean wasn't hurt much but now it was very dangerous.

What Vlad saw in the future next was Jean landing on the wooden floor on the back of his skull leading to a major injury.

As everyone's eyes were on Jean and Eren, nobody expected Vlad to rush over.

Bam!

Jean hit the floor with a loud noise. But something had come between his head and the floor saving him in just a split second.

"Vlad?"

Jean looked up from the floor and saw Vlad standing just behind him with his right leg front.

The situation was that Vlad moved his foot over and let Jean's head land on it.

"It should be enough for now."

Said Vlad. Eren who was a few steps away gulped in some saliva thinking about what would have happened if Vlad hadn't saved Jean.

"What's going on?"

The door to the dining hall opened and the commandant came in.

"It's nothing. Cadet Jean just slipped."

Replied Vlad in a plain voice without even turning to look at the commandant.

The commandant looked around and then went back as he closed the door behind him.

"Thank you, Vlad. If not for you…"

Jean almost was pale as he thought about what he would have faced if he hit his head on the floor.

"I am really sorry."

Eren apologized to both Jean and Vlad. His face wasn't very good.

"Next time, practice once before you copy someone."

Vlad spoke in a low voice but due to the silence in the dining hall, it was heard clearly.

"Bastard! I have had enough of you! From the very first day you have been showing off!"

From one of the tables near the entrance, Grace stood up and walked with heavy footsteps.

"Hey, stop it!"

Reiner held Grace to stop him but Grace flicked his hand and freed himself.

"Before it was a small mistake! I was distracted for a second and you took advantage of it, coward!"

Grace stood face to face before Vlad with a frown on his face. His forehead had veins visible.

"Grace, don't."

One of the cadets close to Grace tried to separate him from Vlad but was stopped.

"Nobody steps in!"

Said Grace loudly. He death glared in Vlad's eyes without showing the slight hesitation.

On the other tables, Reiner, Bertholdt, Annie, Sasha, Armin, Eren, Mikasa and others were watching with focus.

What could make these people so focused about this fight between Vlad and Grace?

It was obviously because of Vlad. He is the best and likely to be the number 1 in ranks of the cadets in graduation.

Everyone wanted to see what he does in this situation.

Unknown to these cadets, the commandant hadn't left before and was just around.

Now he peeped in, he was also very excited to see what Vlad was going to do to Grace.

"Don't act like you are the best, mister robot!"

Grace said while raising his lips on one side, showing how irritated he was because of Vlad.

Vlad on the other hand, was calm. In his eyes, Grace was just another character that didn't have much value.

He might even die the moment he steps out of the training camp.

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘶𝘺'𝘴 𝘶𝘨𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦… Thought Vlad as he observed the other cadets' expressions.

'I will finish it quickly...'

"Watch this closely, Eren."

Said Vlad, he raised his right hand which was tightened to form a blade with his palm.

With this, he chopped Grace's side of the neck, knocking him out.

But Vlad didn't want to get any complaint so he directly caught Grace with that very same hand.

All these happened within a second, no one was able to react.

Be it Eren, Mikasa, Reiner, Annie or even the commandant next to the door.

"To avoid unnecessary injuries, you must knock out your opponent quickly."

Said Vlad, he handed the unconscious Grace to his friend and moved towards the door.

As he came to the door, he didn't immediately open it but waited for the commandant to leave from the other side.

Clank.

Once Vlad had left the dining hall, all the cadets burst into intense conversation.

Soldiers were sent by the commandant to handle the situation inside.

* * *

That very night, it was the graduation ceremony.

All the cadets who had survived the harsh training by the commandant stood proudly.

Vlad was at the very front, he listened to the speeches with no interest.

Instead, he was all concentrated in his vision. The price he had to pay for using the power to see the future was his vision.

Now, he was completely sure about it. Few minutes ago, he checked that the white lines in his black pupils had expanded little.

And there was a slight deficiency in his far sight vision range. Example, if before he could see till a hundred meters, now he was only able to see till ninety-five meters.

It was still negligible but the more he used this power, the more difficult it will get for him.

So, Vlad planned to not see the future unless really necessary. This night was the only future he last saw, then he stopped.

From tomorrow, whatever Vlad was going to experience, it will be something new for him.

But for now, Vlad walked up to the stage and received the reward for being the number 1 in ranking among all the cadets.

He wasn't particularly happy or excited about it. But even so, he had a very small smile on his face.

"It's not bad to be living without knowing your future."

Muttered Vlad. He took the reward and headed back to his position which was now at the center of the top 10 ranking cadets.

"Congratulations."

Reiner congratulated Vlad as they shook hands with each other. Even the quiet Mikasa congratulated him.

Very soon it was time for the party. Vlad didn't participate in this. He went back to his room and slept.

It is not everyday that he gets a chance to rest his tired body and mind.

After today, Vlad was going to live a life without knowing his future for the first time.

Even if it might be temporary.
