"A Mother's Return"

Eren smiling at Historia as she takes a seat, his tone easygoing "Yeah, well, who knows? Maybe your luck will turn around sooner than you think."

Historia smiling warmly as she joins the conversation, her tone light-hearted "Or maybe you'll just have to keep each other company."

Everyone joking around is fun and all, but we gotta continue the story as well. So, Historia, curious as to why Eren had asked Hange to bring her here, asked Eren, "Well, Eren, why did you ask me to come over?"

As if something forbidden had been asked, the atmosphere in the room shifted to a more serious one. Everyone looked forward to hearing why Eren needed Historia, wanting to know why he had asked her to come to the headquarters. They stared at Eren, their eyes more serious now.

Eren, answering their unasked questions, said, "Historia, give me your hand. I need contact for this to work..." His tone was shrouded in mystery.

Historia, a bit taken aback by Eren's strange request, took a second to process but still held her hand out for him. Since she was sitting a bit further away, Eren got up to grab her hand. When he touched her hand, both of them felt a jolt of electricity passing through them. He immediately activated the Founding Titan's power and gave two commands, one related to the announcement and the other related to Connie.

Immediately after Eren was done giving the command, Historia yanked her hand back. "Ahh, what was that, Eren?"

Jean immediately asked Eren, "What did you do, Eren?" he asked urgently, but Eren didn't answer him. He faced Connie and said, "Connie, you should go check on your mother..."

Connie, confused, asked Eren, "What did you do? Why do you want me to go there at this time of night?"

Eren replied, "You might just encounter a miracle... So you should probably hurry up."

Connie, unable to ignore the weird feeling he had been having ever since Eren touched Historia's hand, felt as if he had regained something lost a long time ago. Unable to put up with this emotion any longer, he stormed outside the office and headed straight for the stables.

Eren then said, "Sasha, maybe you should accompany him, don't you think so?" Sasha hesitated for a moment but decided to go after Connie, yelling on the way, "Connie! Connie! Wait for me! I'm coming too!"

Jean asked Eren again, "Eren, what did you do? Why did you send them both away?"

Eren thought for a bit before answering. "Jean, this is going to take a long time. Are you sure you want to hear this?" Eren said mysteriously.

Armin replied instead of Jean, "Well, I don't think any of us care that it'll take a long time..." he said, curious and frustrated with how mysterious Eren was acting.

"Well, you know how Historia here has royal blood and I have the Founding Titan?"

"Yeah... what about it?" Jean replied.

"I'm able to use its powers if I make contact with a person who has royal blood..."

(Author's Note): Since you guys are all AOT fans, you already know this stuff, but I'll still tell you what he talks about. He explains what powers the Founding Titan has, what it can do, and how to use it—basically, how he made Connie's mother human again and other things.

It took a hot minute to explain everything to Armin, Jean, and Historia. They were deep in thought, processing what Eren had told them about the Founding Titan's power.

Jean was the first to break the silence and say, "So, just now... you made Connie's mom human again?"

"Yes, that's exactly what happened. Do I have to say it in even simpler terms for you, Jean?"

Poor Jean was so bewildered that he didn't even focus on the jab thrown at him by Eren. The Utgard Castle was at least 6 to 8 hours away from Ragako village, so confirmation from Connie wouldn't arrive anytime soon. They would have to wait until midday...

Since everyone was tired and mentally exhausted and needed time to digest all the information given to them by Eren, they decided to go to their respective rooms and rest. Since it was late, Historia and Eren decided to stay, so soldiers led them to their own quarters.

Late at night, when everyone was asleep, two soldiers could be seen riding toward a destroyed village. When they arrived, they headed straight to a specific house. It was the same house where Connie's Titan mother was supposed to be, but strangely enough, there was no sign of a Titan there.

Because of the darkness of the night, it was hard to see the reaction of the soldiers, but they must have been confused and bewildered as well, right? They decided to walk into the house, and right when they did, they encountered a naked middle-aged lady lying unconscious on the floor of the broken house.

One of the soldiers, upon seeing the lady, shouted with hope in his voice, "Mom!!"
