6 Meeting the Crew

Erwin Linestone, the now proclaimed Astroneer, found himself suspended in a void of swirling purple hues. The galactic orb that had once confined him now pulsed with a gentle energy, signaling his impending release turning him back to his regular astronaut suit .

Erwin Linestone's eyes fluttered open, revealing the unfamiliar interior of a celestial train. He sat up, his mind groggy but his senses alert. He doesn't know where he is but he is feeling safe from the confinements of the endless void.

Erwin's last memory was of being trapped in the purple galaxy orb, a mysterious object that had granted him extraordinary powers and a system. He had sent out a distress signal, hoping for rescue, but he had never expected to be found by the crew of a space train.

Erwin sat motionless for a moment, taking in the details of his surroundings. The train car was spacious and well-lit, with comfortable seating and elegant furnishings. A group of people gathered around him, their faces filled with curiosity and concern.

"Who are you people?" Erwin asked, his voice still a bit hoarse.

The people looked at each other, their expressions uncertain.

"I am Welt Yang," the man with brown hair said. "I'm a member of this train, the Astral Express."

"I'm Himeko ," the woman with long red hair said. "I'm the train's navigator."

"Hello, I'm March 7th," the woman with pink hair said. "I'm also a member of the astral express."

"And I'm Dan Heng," the black haired male said. "I'm the archivist of the Astral Express."

Erwin nodded slowly, trying to process the information.

"So you found me?" he asked.

"Yes," Himeko said. "We received your distress signal and came to your rescue. You were unconscious, so we brought you aboard the Astral Express."

Erwin looked down at his hands, his mind racing. He didn't know what to make of this situation. He had been rescued by a group of strangers, but he didn't know why or what they wanted.

"Why did you save me?" he asked.

"Because it's what we do," Himeko said. "The Astral Express is a haven for those in need. We help those who are lost, stranded, or in danger."

Erwin looked at Himeko, his eyes searching for the truth. He could see the sincerity in the conductor's gaze.

"Thank you," Erwin said. "I don't know what I would have done without you."

Himeko then asked "Now that we introduced ourselves I believe its your turn now."

Erwin stumbled and said "Well, umm...My name is Erwin Linestone and thank you for rescuing me."

Himeko smiled. "Then you're welcome aboard, Erwin Linestone. You're among friends now."

Erwin felt a sense of relief and gratitude. He had been rescued by a group of kind and compassionate people. He didn't know what the future held, but he knew that he would be safe with the Astral Express crew.

But in his mind he wanted to repay them for rescuing him but he needed to know how thus he began to stay with the astral express taking him to unknown destinations while finding out how to be an Astroneer and using its system and powers given to him in this journey across the stars.
