Furious Sienna

The beginning village was in upheaval from the sudden quest from the legendary Blacksmith. It barely took a couple of minutes before various people had formed a team, ready to embark on the quest.

The allure of rank 2 and rank 3 of an uncommon grade weapon clouded most people, turning them into a fearless zombie.

Zimba the thin young man stood at the exit of the beginning village and looked at the crowd of people in front with his mouth aghast. 'What the hell?' Yet, the crowd increases by the seconds.

After waiting for over an hour. Zimba cleared his throat and said with a loud voice.

"I'll be your guide on this quest. Please follow me"

"Right. Right. Small boy led the way. We can't wait to complete the mission." A husky voice in front of the lizard race said proudly.

Zimba rolled his eyes and departed from the village while cursing the lizard man with all the curses he knew in his heart.

Inside the small shop, Emma had a sly grin on his face while an ancient was in his hand. He read the book with fervent; nodding his head frequently.

"So in lame man language. Rune inscription is the nature programming language while array formation is the hardware. Though array formation could somehow function independently without rune while also rune inscription can work independently."

"This is great. All the previous restrictions on earth technology were almost non-existent with these two methods." He murmured in dazed.

"What are you saying?" A cold voice said entering the shop.

Emma raised his head and looked at the arrival with a radiant smile on his face.

"I thought you'd escaped with my token."

"Why would I do that?" Sienna raised her brow and fluffy ear twisted a bit. "The moment I took this token out of the village. The village would know and I would be hunted down."

"Oh! There is such a mechanism in the token." He creased his brow in shock.

"Of course. There is a rank 2 inscription on this token that while it could be used with the library. Also, out of the village there is a hidden rank 2 formation."

"Really." Emma was flabbergasted by the sudden news.

'If a small village could have a rank 2 formation and inscription. Then what about those big cities?' He thought and his heart raced in happiness.

His obsession with rune and array formation had developed to a level where he cared not what happened; as long as he could study this field. He would be content with whatever price he paid.

"Why are you so obsessed with array formation and rune inscription?" Sienna asked, seeing the glow in Emma's eyes.

"You won't understand." He said and shook his head.

Sienna snorted and threw the token to him. Emma caught the token and asked.

"Do you find what you're searching for?"

Sienna shook her head dejectedly. "No, the library information was too old and didn't contain what I searched for."

Emma tilted his head and thought for a moment. "Can I ask what is searching for that makes a princess like you restless?"

Sienna raised her head and looked at Emma for a while and asked.

"Why would I tell you? It's not like we're close or something?"

"Then forget it." He shrugged and went back to his study.

Sienna rolled her big eyes and looked at Emma in daze. 'What sort of man is this?' She thought in dismay. Her long tail coiled her around her waist while she stared intently on Emma's face.

"Don't you want to know?" She inquired in a low voice.

"I don't?"

>>You're a jack. Can't you realize she needs your attention.

Emma shrugged. 'I already asked her. But she didn't tell me. So… I don't care.'

She opened her mouth wide for a couple of seconds, lost. 'Why is everything about him alway going the wrong way? Are their races bizarre?'

Recovering from the initial shock, a sudden gush of anger rushed into her brain. She stood furiously and kicked Emma's leg.

"Ouch!" Emma cried and dropped the book.

"Why would you do that!?" He exclaimed, rubbing his foot.

"All you care about is yourself." She shouted. "Do you know how restless that old man had been when your fame spread throughout the village, hmm?"

The more she talked the more her voice raised a decibel. Her tail swayed left and right while she stood straight.

Emma opened his mouth but the word refused to come out.

"Cat got your tongue, hmm?"

"You're such a selfish prick. Do you think that token is worthy of me teaching you a rank 1 rune inscription and array formation. Hmm?" She berated him.

"Do you know how many would die to learn from me to be a rank 1 rune master. But you, you take everything as if the world revolves around you."

"George was miserable. He spent more than 20 years to forge an uncommon grade weapon but his apprentice spent barely three days to accomplish his life goal. And what? That useless son of a donkey just forgot everything and left."

Sienna's eyes turned red while her crimson white fur was turning bluish.

>>I told you're insensitive. But you won't listen to this mama. See this…

'Shut up!'

Emma was dumbfounded and lost. He knew he had to say something or do something. But he knew not what to do?

>>Idiot. Hug her and accept your mistake.

'But I have done nothing wrong.'

>>…? Speechless.

Sienna glared at Emma straight in the eyes and her fury continued to rise by the seconds. With the look of things. She won't mind killing Emma. Though she didn't know how strong Emma was. She won't hesitate to try.

Left with no choice, Emma stood up slowly and approached Sienna. He said slowly.

"I don't know I'm such a prick and a son of a donkey at that. I'm so focused on my goal that I neglect the people that help me. I'm sorry." He stopped a couple of inches from Sienna's face while looking directly into her big eyes.

"I'm sorry."

Sienna blinked twice, avoiding Emma's direct gaze. Her emotion was in chaos. She didn't know why she had to lash out on Emma. He did nothing wrong. But seeing his sincere face made me feel guilty.

Emma reached out and took her hand. She shivered for a brief second and her heart missed a beat.

"Do you forgive me?"

"I-I—"

"You know you are considered my teacher. And I won't do something that would make my teacher get furious with me again."

"Please say something."

>>Men… you're good at this.

'Of course, I'm good at everything I do.' He won't miss the chance to praise himself.

>>… ? Speechless

A radiant smile appeared on Sienna's face and her face redden under the continuous touch of him.

"I'm not angry at you—" She averted her gaze, trying to control her thumping heart.

Creak!

The door opened and four men in black entered with their weapons in hand.

Emma and Sienna looked at the four and were furious. Most especially, Sienna.

'Why do you have to come in at this moment.'
