Good Morning

Ian finally got his big heavy work boots on and started to go down the stairs of his home.

On his way down he could smell breakfast being cooked. The sound of sizzling and crackling food in pans mixed with the scent of eggs, ham, and pancakes, started to make Ian's stomach growl.

When he reached the bottom of the stairs he was met with Ellie again.

"Took you long enough. Mom is almost done making breakfast, so we might as well eat before heading out. Oh and also, mom said to wash up before you eat. I'll go get Emmett and call in dad."

Without saying another word and still looking annoyed, Ellie walked through the kitchen and out the back door.

Once Ian was done having his small pause of shock, he made his way toward the bathroom

While brushing his teeth he tried to recall more of the dream. He stared at himself in the mirror, his brown eyes looking at each other while in deep thought. His black hair swayed with every brush. No matter what though he could not remember anything from last night, so he rinsed his mouth, washed his hands, and made his way to the kitchen.

Exiting the bathroom, he sees a middle-aged man walk in from the back door. His dark red hair and beard were covered in wood chips, while his scarred arms were glistening in sweat.

"Oh, morning Ian," the man said while walking past heading towards the bathroom.

From the other side of the house, Ellie was walking in followed by a young-looking man with short brown hair and blue eyes. The young man stretched and yawned as he tried to say something to Ian, but nothing was understandable.

"Looks like you enjoyed sleeping in the hammock last night Emmett, "Ian replied sarcastically.

Now done stretching, Emmett could finally speak. "Shove it up yours Ian, at least I didn't have to hear you snoring."

Silence, as the two stared at each other, not even taking a moment to blink. After just a few seconds, the two began to hold back laughter, but eventually, they couldn't last any longer and burst out laughing.

"You two done? Mom's almost finished making breakfast," disappointed-looking, Ellie walked away from the two.

In the kitchen, there was a woman with long brown hair cooking. The sight of eggs and ham sizzling on a skillet made them hungry. Next to that, there were five plates with pancakes on them, and some with their servings of eggs and ham. Once everyone arrived they sat down to eat.
