Chapter 31 - Rinnegan

The system asked as Sasuke teleported near the place where Nagato and Konan were hiding.

"Yes," Sasuke said as his left eye started to bleed. He closed his eyes and opened it slowly as he felt incredible power surging inside him.

[Host has received 6-tomoe Ultimate Rinnegan]

[Your special Rinnegan ability is Amenotejikara]

"It feels great," Sasuke said as he clenched his fists. He could feel the powers that Rinnegan brought to him.

Meanwhile, In a place far away from the mortal plane, The Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo, was meditating as he felt the Yin half of his Chakra disappear.

"What just happened?" Hagoromo wondered as he realized that his Yin half of Chakra had disappeared completely.

He wondered what could be the reason for the sudden disappearance of half of his power.

"If you take my chakra, you should have enough strength to walk," Konan said as she put her hand on his back and decided to let him absorb his chakra.

"You should run by using that new jutsu of yours, it's too late now for me. He is already here" Nagato said as he faced his enemy despite being on the verge of death.

"You guys are lucky that I didn't kill you earlier," Sasuke said as he showed up in front of them.

"Rinnegan?" Konan said in bewilderment as she saw Sasuke's left eye.

She was shocked beyond belief. She thought that Nagato was the only person in the world that had a Rinnegan.

"No wonder you couldn't defeat him. He also had a Rinnegan" Konan thought that Pain was defeated due to Sasuke having a Rinnegan. She didn't know that he just got it since she had never seen Sasuke in person.

"He didn't have Rinnegan when I fought him," Nagato said as he decided to fight Sasuke.

"What? Then how did he?" Konan said as she looked at Sasuke who pulled out a kunai from his pocket.

"I don't know how you got a Rinnegan, but don't think that I can't kill you," Nagato threatened Sasuke, who chuckled.

"I don't think, I believe, that you can't kill me," Sasuke said as he pulled out a kunai and used his unique Rinnegan ability.

Sasuke used Amenotejikara and swapped the kunai with Nagato's body and pierced his heart with a Chidori.

Everything happened instantaneously which didn't give Nagato any time to react.

"NAGATO" Konan shouted as she watched Sasuke grabbing Nagato from his neck with his left arm inside Nagato's heart.

"You Bastard!!" Konan said as she attacked Sasuke with her paper bombs which Sasuke dodged easily.

"What the hell?" Sasuke said as he saw Nagato's body crumbling as he started to turn into paper.

He immediately grabbed Nagato's right eye and pulled it out of his eye socket.

The moment he pulled out The Rinnegan, Nagato's body turned into paper birds and started to fly away.

"I will not forgive you!!" Konan said as she too turned into Paper birds and tried to flee.

"Great Flame Jutsu," Sasuke said as he tried to burn all the paper with his jutsu.

However, he couldn't completely annihilate them with that just, so he decided to use his Amaterasu.

"Amaterasu" Sasuke said as he burned those paper flies. His attack successfully hit the target and started to spread among its herd.

Suddenly, Sasuke saw Nagato's body fall down, so he immediately sprinted after it since getting the other Rinnegan was more important for him than chasing after Konan.

He wanted to get the other Rinnegan as fast as possible because he wanted to make his future secure.

Once he reached Nagato's corpse, he found his body completely burned by Amaterasu except for some of his hair.

"She took the Rinnegan," Sasuke said as he checked Nagato's eye socket and sighed.

"I can't believe I let that happen. Now I would have to face Madara" Sasuke said with disappointment.

"I should at least take away Kurama from Naruto so the Ten-Tails don't come into existence," Sasuke said

After that, he put Nagato's burned corpse in his inventory since he didn't want Kabuto to Edo Tensei him.

Nagato was definitely the strongest Edo Tensei summon of Kabuto excluding Madara. He was so strong that he almost killed Naruto and Killer Bee.

That battle decided the fate of the series. If Naruto had died then there wouldn't have been anyone who could stop Obito and Madara from launching Infinite Tsukuyomi.

'I have changed too much of the plot already. I can't take any risk" Sasuke thought as an idea appeared in his mind.

He was going to use his own Edo Tensei on Nagato and turn him into his henchman. The truth is that he lacks a strong subordinate whom he can rely on in emergencies.

Who else could be better than the person who used Rinnegan to the fullest?

"I just need a good sacrifice for him. Someone who could handle his power like a White Zetsu" Sasuke said as he decided to head back to the village.

Meanwhile, somewhere far away, Konan struggled to walk as she barely escaped Sasuke's fire.

'Thankfully, I made that jutsu,' Konan said as she hid The Rinnegan.

Her new jutsu, Invisible Microscopic Paper Life is a jutsu that can make you invisible and microscopic in size so you could run away from your enemies. The only downside is that you are made of paper and could die easily. However, your speed is greatly increased when you use this jutsu.

She got the idea for this jutsu after hearing about Sasuke's Flying Thundergod jutsu from Zetsu. She, too, wanted a jutsu that could save her life in difficult situations.

However, what she didn't know was that Sasuke deliberately let her go since he was more interested in Nagato's body. Otherwise, she might have died alongside Nagato.

"I will come back for you," She said as she decided to go back to The Hidden Rain Village.
