A week later, Shiki was lying in his bed, browsing his mobile phone to catch up with the latest trends and news. While reviewing his feed, his thoughts shifted to last week's activities.
Shiki had a productive conversation with his editor, Machida, about the possibility of finding an artist partner to help with the creation of character designs and illustrations for his novel. But in the end, Shiki decided to draw the illustrations himself since he was bored at home.
Shiki decided to use the powers of his Angel [Haniel], which allowed him to become a famous artist and painter. He had previously researched this with his omniscient book [Rasiel]. This fusion of skills and knowledge allowed him to acquire an almost supernatural mastery in the creation of illustrations.
He then used his time clones to speed up the process and finished all the illustrations for the first volume of his novel in just one day. Each illustration resembled that of the original light novel of his past life, but with a distinctive touch—a more modern style enriched with intricate details reminiscent of the art of 'To Aru Majutsu no Index: New Testament'.
In the end, he was satisfied with the final result and met with his editor Machida the day after he had finished, giving him the illustrations to start printing the first volume as soon as possible.
After navigating his cell phone for a while, Shiki got up from his bed, his feet touching the ground with a dull noise. He went to the kitchen with a quick step.
Yes, also this week, Shiki finally came up with an idea to get infinite food. In his mind, this idea was quite good.
While taking the ingredients from his refrigerator, he couldn't help but smile at his idea, which allowed him to get infinite ingredients. For a bottomless stomach like Shiki's, this idea was great.
In the end, Shiki, in his desperation to get food, came up with a wonderful idea.
Create pieces of ice through the powers of manipulation and creation of ice with [Zadkiel] and then use those 'materials' to transform them into food and ingredients with the transmutation powers of [Haniel].
"What should I cook for lunch today?" he murmured to himself while looking at several options in [Rasiel].
After a while of investigating some delicious but simple dishes, he decided to cook some udon noodles sautéed in the wok with meat and vegetables.
He put on a tight apron and started cooking by lighting the fire, then added a splash of oil to the hot wok, which sizzled instantly. His quick hands mixed the noodles with strips of meat and colorful vegetables, sautéing them with energy.
The meat, perfectly golden, was mixed with the noodles and crunchy vegetables in a harmonious dance of colors and aromas.
Shiki then adjusted the heat and added a touch of sauce, watching carefully to ensure that everything was perfectly seasoned. With a final twist of the wok, he served the dish on the dining room table.
"Having Rasiel and Haniel to learn how to cook and acquire various talents, the truth is quite absurd. In just one week, my food looks so delicious," Shiki said with a strange expression as he took a seat.
'This is cheating on another level,' but he didn't think too much, since it would be stupid not to use his powers if he could learn things quickly.
"Itadakimasu!" He then devoured the food with a happy expression and forgot about all the strangeness.
"Delicious!"

After finishing his breakfast, he stored the rest and cooked some simple things like tortillas and sausages, making a kind of bento.
After preparing his bento, he went to the mirror in the hallway. There, he observed his reflection. He wore casual clothes, a light shirt, and simple pants.
Shiki closed his eyes for a moment and let his spiritual power flow through his body. A few moments later, his casual clothes disappeared.
With a blue glow, the fabric of his clothes began to undulate as if an invisible breeze caressed them. A bluish light, dim but vibrant, swirled around his figure. The casual shirt faded as if it were swept away by the wind, decomposing into luminous particles that dispersed in the air.
As the bluish light intensified, a new dress began to materialize.
First, the soft feel of a white long-sleeved shirt covered his skin, followed by the familiar pressure of a deep dark-colored tie around his neck.
Navy blue pants, perfectly ironed, emerged out of nowhere, adjusting precisely to his movements.
Finally, a dark-colored bag was formed over the shirt, completing the school uniform with a subtle shine that was extinguished in a last flash.
Shiki inspected his new outfit in the mirror, making sure that each fold was in place.
"Well, the uniform of this school is normal and generic, I guess, but I still look handsome. I can already guess that people will say that I have Chuunibyou for wearing this patch," Shiki murmured to himself while adjusting the patch on his left eye.
(A/N: In Date a Live, the spirits are able to manipulate or create fabric, so I don't see why Shiki couldn't do it.)
With one last look, Shiki took the bento and put it in his backpack. He left his house and went to high school.
He did not mention it before, but the summer vacation had come to an end, and Shiki, despite his total disinterest in the educational system, was forced to return to the high school routine.
The truth is that high school, even university, is useless for him in this life.
Shiki is almost omniscient thanks to [Rasiel] and the improved memory he obtained through reincarnation, so no knowledge they impart at school will be useful to him.
And he also doesn't plan to work for someone else in society when he graduates.
He plans to continue bringing more entertainment in the form of light novels and maybe manga from his past life to this world.
He could also create a restaurant since his food is easily classified as 5 stars.
'Well, I can use these three years of high school to get some friends and maybe a girlfriend...' Shiki thought to himself as he walked down the sidewalk, watching the clouds moving slowly in the sky.
Shiki thought about using these three years to relax and build some relationships with people who may matter to him. Since in his past life, he didn't have any relationships that he remembers fondly, it's normal for him to want some loved ones and not feel so alone.
He continued walking to the school for about 20 minutes. After arriving, Shiki watched the school in front of him.
'Toyogasaki High School,' he read aloud from the imposing sign at the entrance.
Toyogasaki High School is a typical Japanese multi-story school building, designed with a mixture of modernity and traditional elements.
The main building is a concrete and glass structure of four or five floors, with large and rectangular windows that allow a lot of natural light to enter.
Shiki entered the school while observing the surroundings and the other students. As a first-year student, he was not familiar with anyone, so he simply went to his classroom.
But his lips twisted a little when he heard the whispers of the students.
"That boy is cute and handsome," said a girl, leaning towards her friend. "Maybe I should offer to teach him school as his 'senpai'. What do you think?"
"Of course he's cute, but..." Her friend frowned, her eyes stuck on the patch that covered Shiki's left eye. "Don't you think it's a little weird? Maybe he's a Chuunibyou. I'm sure he'll ask me to be his queen of darkness."
"Hey... but maybe he has a wound? Besides, with such a cute face I wouldn't mind following the game. Maybe with effort I can take away that nonsense from Chuunibyou," said the girl.
Shiki's lips trembled as he let out a sigh and headed for his classroom.
'Said and done. If I was mistaken for a Chuunibyou, well, it's the first day and it will pass with time.'
Shiki continued to head towards his classroom while his lips twisted because of the nonsense he heard from the whispers of the female students.
Shiki was determined to ignore it, but he couldn't help but think: 'They have too active an imagination.'
Just when he thought he could find some peace in his classroom, a scream resounded from the entrance of the school.
"Have a good day, Raku-Bocchan!"
(A/N: Raku is a Nisekoi character.)
Shiki turned to see a group of stocky men, dressed in an unusually formal way, who bowed reverentially towards a boy of medium height. The student, who seemed thin under the pressure of expectations, had black and straight hair, with a lock that protruded to the right as a sign of rebellion.
Shiki's lips twisted into a smile of fun. 'The Yakuza dismissing their boss in training? Poor boy... I wouldn't be surprised if everyone here feared him after this since no one would want to get involved with the Yakuza.'
Shiki wasn't in Raku's place, but he could feel his shame.
Raku, the involuntary center of attention, seemed to be on the verge of disappearing in shame.
His red face contrasted with the forced serenity of his movements.
"Have a great day, young man!" the men repeated, each bowing with more fervor than the previous one.
Raku turned to them, desperately trying to get them to leave, but it was too late. One of the men, interpreting Raku's discomfort as a sign of aggression, approached a student who whispered something to his friend.
"What are you looking at? Hey! Do you have a problem with our Bocchan?"
The atmosphere, which until then had been full of laughter, became tense. Shiki, who watched from afar, couldn't help but smile. 'This is too much,' he thought, holding back the laughter.
'What are you doing!' Raku screamed inside.
"Enough!!"
Raku, desperate to stop the disaster, ran towards the two and managed to separate the yakuza from the student, murmuring apologies and begging them to leave. After a few minutes of tense negotiations, the men finally left, leaving Raku in the center of a sea of incredulous looks.
Shiki, now walking down the corridors to his classroom, couldn't help but think: 'This seems to be taken out of a manga. What a... peculiar start to the day.'
Finally, Shiki arrived at his classroom and went to his seat, right at the back next to the window.
'Is this the so-called seat of the protagonist?'
With a sigh, he left his backpack on the floor and lay down in his seat.
He briefly observed his classmates and then took out his phone and put on his headphones, letting himself be carried away by the music while he waited for the class to begin.
{Niteru kedo chigau Memory (Memory equal but different) Itsuka I swear egaita keshiki (Someday the landscape that I swore, I drew) koko ni aru ima tochigau mirai kizuki hajimeru (There is a different future here, to start noticing) nando demo deai mawaru kono seakide (In this world where we meet many times) watashitachi no deeto hajimemashou (Let's start our date)}.
A yawn escaped from his mouth while listening to the song that he recreated from his previous world.
(A/N: The song is called 'I Swear,' the OPENING 3 of Date A Live)
