He grew up in a fairly normal low case family home with his parents and two younger siblings. The thing out of the ordinary was he knew for as long as he could remember he would be getting married at 18 to a girl he never had met before due to a promise his family had made. Lena Scarlet, Princess Scarlet was feared by many, respected and loved by everyone near her. Deadly as she was calm, her one annoyance in life was the arranged married he father decided upon before she was born. Being fiercely independent and trained to protect herself, she never felt the need for a relationship or marriage as she fully capable of taking care of all her needs. However, a promise was a promise and whether either of them liked it or not, their parents were at least going to force them to live together before calling the wedding off. Please give the book a chance. I'm not the greatest of synopsis writers, as I am sure some of you can tell and the book may be slow at first due to the setup and lead in. But I promise it will getting more interesting as it goes along. Scene excerpt from the story: "You didn't happen to think it was important to tell before now?! The princess was furious with the other woman. "I.." She paused for a second to swallow, "I never thought that it would come down to this. I promise though that they wouldn't do anything terrible." "They said the same thing to my father.. but they were wrong. I don't trust anyone's word." The princess replied standing up. The more her anger rose, the darker her eyes got. "You should just be fortunate that I am not my father. Do you know what he did when faced with a similar situation?" with no reply, she continued "He killed almost all of them. You could say it was a massacre. Me, I won't got that far, but if anything happens to him, I will personally kill the person who touches him." Uncomfortable situation

Lena brushed her nose lightly across Samuel's cheek down to the side of his neck.

"Guys always think that they're so much stronger until they meet a girl who can actually overpower them." She commented as she leaned her head down to press her nose against the crook his neck. "You smell really nice again today."

"Lena, you can get o-off me now." Samuel told her, his words failing him when he felt her tongue brush against his neck.

"I may be your potential fiancé but if you want me to listen to you, that's not going to work." She told him enjoying the soft vanilla mixed with something else scent that was coming from him. Mostly likely from the body wash or lotion that he used. Samuel tried to pull at his hands again as Lena moved from the crook of his neck down to his collar bone, not paying much attention to as she continued her exploration.

"How else should I get you to listen? I said I'd be more careful and I understand your point." Samuel asked feeling another shiver go down his back which mixed with the building frustration at the current predicament. This was a completely new situation to him for more than one reason and he hadn't yet decided if he liked the feeling of her cold nose against his hot skin or not. One thing was certain though which was that he was feeling very uncomfortable with the fact this was occurring outside where he was certain many of the farm hands were watching exactly what was going on but deciding that since she was the boss's daughter, they weren't going to be lifting a hand to help. This was definitely more than what he had signed up for. Perhaps if he was fortunate no one would ever bring this yo in the future.

"You should've listened to me the first time. If you did I wouldn't have gotten annoyed and been able resist teasing you in such a situation." Lena murmured, she was enjoying this probably a little too much, but it wasn't often that she found herself in a situation where she could overpower a man like this. She was also enjoying the very innocent reactions that this boy under her was displaying. He held potential to be someone fun for her to mess with her depending on how well he handled the rest of the week. Also, there was evidently room from him to turn into something more with the frustration she could tell was bubbling below surface. His shirt was in the way and her hands couldn't be freed, but that wouldn't stop her from brushing her nose further down his shirt. She was curious to know if the rest of his busy smelled as good as his neck did.

"Okay, Okay! You're starting to take this a little bit too far little queen!" Samuel was trying his best to keep his composure as closed his eyes, but a tiny bit of panic started to slip in when he realized that she really had no intention of letting him up anytime soon and that her face was moving to the bottom of his shirt and was exploring the route to reach under it.

"Little in reference to me is not a word that I will allow. Considering your current position you might want to tread more carefully if you actually intend for me to let you up." Even though he couldn't see her face, he could hear the annoyance in her tone as she corrected him. Her face closer to the bottom of shirt as she spoke.

"I apologize for that mistake, but I really don't know what else to do to get you to let me go." Samuel apologized, taking in a slow deep breath. This really wasn't an idea situation for him. Just as Lena was going to reply again, a new voice cut in that caused Samuel to freeze and make his face become even hotter than he thought was possible.

"My, my. Father told you to go and collect your boy, but I don't think this was quite what he expected." The voice belonged to that of a well-dressed young man. "If you make father wait any longer, he's going to end up getting worried." Lena didn't remove herself despite the presence of the stranger who was watching them.

"Why don't you then Leo be the good boy and let father know that we will be there shortly." Lena replied, a low growl at the edge of her voice as she did little to move from her current position. Samuel's mind was a little fried so it took him a few seconds to realize that the other person she was talking to her happened to be her younger brother, the one that Zane said would be returning to. What a great first-time introduction this had turned out to be he couldn't help thinking bitterly.

"Now, you know I couldn't get away with doing that, if I had to report to father, you know he would either come find you himself or want to know what's keeping you, and if I had to tell him, we both know how he'd react." Leo replied, moving closer, he carefully grabbed his older sister, somehow managing to get her with ease to let go of the other boy's hand. Lena huffed in response to this but didn't seem to argue about what the other was done. "Besides, I have been gone so long, do I not warrant a hug from you?" the younger brother inquired once the other was standing and turned to face him. The neutral look with a hint of annoyance and disappointment had returned to Lena's face as she looked up at her younger brother. Samuel was appreciative for the momentary distraction so that he could compose himself though he hadn't decided to try and stand up yet since the princess was still standing so close to him.

"Fine, I suppose it has been a year and a half." Lena sighed as she moved to give her younger brother a hug who seemed overly happy with the display of affection.

"Indeed, and you were terrible about making time to talk with me. There's so much that we need to catch up on now that I am back. You especially need to tell me about this fiancé of yours." The two had stopped hugging before Leo had finished speaking so he had now turned his attention back to the other who was still laying on the ground though his face was now far less red than it had been earlier. "I think you may have ended up scaring the poor boy." He commented as he moved over to offer his hand to help Samuel stand up.

"It isn't my fault he didn't heed me when I told he should be more careful about wandering around out here without letting anyone know where he's going considering he's new to this place." Lena replied with a shrug of her shoulders as she looked at the two. She didn't feel the need to help the other considering she felt that the current situation was all his fault.

"Thank you." Samuel managed as he took the other's hand. He felt by the way the back of his legs hurt when he stood up that Lena might have actually bruised the back of his legs with her boots.

"No problem, this one here is a bit of a spitfire." Leo commented with a bright smile, even though the other had tried to hide it, he didn't miss the red mark that was on the older boy's collar bone. "Now we really should be going back. Father will me soon if we don't and there are introductions and lunch to be had." He commented as he motioned for Lena to follow them. Heading back, Samuel was torn between feeling happy that there was someone between him and the small queen and feeling modestly mortified that was how the first meeting between him and the younger brother happened to occur. Lena was still brooding still over the fact that her exploration had ended prematurely.
