Rosa stared at him for a moment then pulled the ribbon, the sword flew up and landed right into her right hand. She nodded and moved to get to the next position.

“Hey, where are you going?” Michael ran behind her.

Rosa closed her eyes to sigh. “Where is your teammate?”

“Right beside me.’ He grinned. Rosa stopped and turned to look at his arm.

There it was the black ribbon on his arm. ‘Now I know why Sir Deon was grinning.’ “Where are your friends?” she asked again.

He shook his head. “I was the odd one out. They only allow four per team. I was the ninth one out. So Sir Deon gave me this to start till another odd one out can join me.”

Rosa shook her head and turned to move to the next target. “Try to stay out of trouble.” She warned him and moved to the next target. Michael smiled and walked beside her.
