The discussion about the mines in Layl was getting serious. As Rosa recounted the whole incident again in front of the prince with details this time. Lais closed his eyelids while listening to the details. He leaned back on his chair with his fingers on his temple.

“Now I know why father sent me here. He must have had an inkling there is something wrong here.” He rubbed his temple worried.

“It does not feel like commander Waiz is such a person,” Ghassan added his eyes looking at Rosa.

He was not happy with her. Rosa noticed the expression and closed her eyes. “As I said, I do not know if commander Waiz was included in the mining.”

“He is a commander who moves at moment's notice. He is not someone who would check the…” Egil scratched his head while talking but Lais completed it for him.

“He is not someone who would notice the detailed work in his area.” Lais completed the sentence.
