Ch. 16: Conquering the World

"So what are you going to do now?" Ravana asked me. That was a good question.

While my other stats were a little higher than 100,000, my MP was just over 500,000. With my [Store], it passed 1 million, but creating [Omnipotence] was going to take me five times that, and Ravana was only half as powerful as me, and she didn't have the [Store] skill.

"Could I store MP somewhere outside of my body?" As I asked Ravana, I started looking up [Transfer] skills.

"Only living people can hold MP or skills inside them. Even if you could get around that, it's impossible to control more MP than double your maximum." Ravana explained to me.

"So I can't use anything beyond what [Store] gives me, no matter what I do?" I asked.

"Store essentially doubles your MP capacity. Since you have 1 million MP including that skill, you should be able to control 2 million overall." Unfortunately, not enough. But it gave me an idea.

[Confirmed. Unique Skill Invoked.] [Unique Skill: Skill Transfer will be created for 200,000 MP].

With [Skill Transfer], I could take any of my skills and give them to another. On top of that, since [Store] didn't have a level, it's effects would remain the same whether it was newly acquired or not.

Transferring [Store] to Ravana, then recreating it instantly added 500,000 to our controllable MP stockpile. Unfortunately, Ravana's full MP stockpile wasn't ever going to grow from here. Ravana's stats grew quite a bit when she leveled, but she hadn't leveled in several centuries according to her. That meant that the only way that she could grow stronger would be by using [Predate] and [Drain] on dragons.

Ravana was too softhearted to kill a member of her own species, especially for no reason. Long story short, neither her nor I were going to be getting any stronger.

"I have an idea."

...

Kid was worried. His puppets were being killed all across the globe by that utter monster in human flesh's subordinate. He'd tried to strike the thing down, but it was being protected by its master's [Omnipotence Resistance]. Kid could only watch helplessly as he lost his puppets, and the worst part was that the monster clearly had no intention of destroying the planet. It wasn't going to self-destruct like he had planned.

It had all started yesterday, when Kid decided to check in on the Western Imperial Empire, only to find it gone. Not even in shambles, just reduced to a few towns under 10,000 in population. Looking back in time, Kid learned about the whole stupid plot centered around Ravana, but he also learned that she only destroyed about five cities.

Digging through the world records, Kid learned that a single human had done most of the destruction. Interested in this human with the power to easily eradicate large cities, Kid delved into his past next, and learned the shocking truth. It was the pure black, evil soul that he had personally transmigrated. He'd been so sure that that one was dead, but it wasn't.

Kid immediately spread into action, searching the entire globe for the black soul's current whereabouts. He found it in the Mountains of Ericke, the only area on the planet with a high concentration of dragons.

Worse, the thing in human flesh had already accumulated more than a million in their MP capacity, and it would continue to rise in the future, since it had [Immortality]. It was even stronger than Kid.

Frantically, Kid cast a curse on it to restrict its growth. He attempted to mess with its status a little bit more once the restriction was cast, but he was blocked by a high level [Omnipotence Resistance] skill, developed in reaction to the restriction that Kid had cast.

The new development scared Kid to his core, but he stayed cool. Nothing could harm him, after all. Not as long as they existed in his world.

Then the monster discovered his restriction and set its sights on him. It immediately went to his city of puppets and burned it to the ground, setting a second Demon Lord off into the world, ten times stronger than the current one, a thousand times more aggressive, and with one goal: to destroy Kid's puppets. The monster had even given his Demon Lord [Omnipotence Resistance], so that Kid couldn't stop him.

Without his [Omnipotence], Kid wasn't even as strong as Ravana, the dragon, which was why he didn't ever descend to the world in person. Against this new Demon Lord, he was powerless, and it infuriated him.

Unbeknownst to Kid, that monster had begun another scheme that would infuriate him far more.

...

"What's going on? Where's my planet?" Kid searched his domain and found it had shrunk. The Mountains of Ericke went first, disappearing from his purview. Next, the entire Kingdom of Perseus, as well as the other domains near the Mountains. Then Amale and Uriah.

The disappearance spread like a plague, until the only part left of the world that Kid could see without going through his quickly dying puppets was a small, two foot by two foot square of dirt.

...

"You're really entertaining, Arc." Ravana said once she realized what I had done, standing outside the door of the Pocket Dimension beside me, amused.

The idea behind it had been pretty simple. If Kid couldn't interfere with anything covered by my [Omnipotence Resistance] skill, then I'd simply use my [Omnipotence Resistance] to cut Kid off from the world. So I shoved the entire planet into a pocket dimension.

In order to ensure that Kid's 'control subspace' (as I thought of it) wasn't sucked into the new pocket dimension as well, I'd left him a two foot by two foot stretch of ground that had originally been several hundred feet below the Cathedral in the center of the city of Uriah (The same cathedral that I had mercilessly destroyed).

Kid now had absolute authority over that tiny stretch of grass and nothing else. All he could do was watch as Irri destroyed the rest of the puppets linking him to my new planet. Essentially, I had created a prison just for him by exclusion.

Now, all I had to do was leave him there until I gained the [Omnipotence] skill myself.

This is the second to last chapter. I plan on eventually creating a spin-off to explain how Arc gains [Omnipotence], but for now there's going to be a little time jump.

The next chapter will be from Kid's perspective.
