"Ah"

"My eyes feel so heavy," thought Felix, before memories of and impossible event sprinted out from the depth of his mind giving him a headache. He tried to touch his head out of habit but he couldn't reach it. His arm seemed uncooperative and strangely short. His mind shook and praying that his memories were just a dream he slowly opened his eyes.

Another shock. This time he just looked at his now tiny hands with wide-open eyes. He stayed like that for several minutes trying to calm down until his ears finally registered the soft snores of a woman close by. He looked in that direction and saw the face of a giant woman who seems to be deep asleep.

"Did you finally calmed down?"

Said a familiar voice that seemed to come from deep within his mind.

Hearing that voice somehow cleared his thoughts. He concentrated and tried to think of the word he wanted to said to her:

"Hi"

"Hi" answered back the high spirited voice.

"I'm Felix, who are you?" tried asking Felix, hoping to understand what was happening from the one that seemed to be the culprit behind it all.

"I don't know" answered the voice full of indifference.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Felix asked back restlessly.

"I mean, I don't have a name." said the voice in quick succession.

"Ok, then what are you?" said Felix, now starting to get a little angry

"I dunno"

"..."

"Fine, then what did you do to me?" The indifference in the voice started to get on his nerves.

"I brought you to a new world!" Now back to high spirit, the voice seems eager to talk more.

"And how did you do that?" asked Felix calming down a little. He needed all the information he could get to make head or tail out of his situation.

"I got bored with watching you be a zombie and since you too wanted a do-over, I clicked the transmigration option." said the voice while giggling at the end.

"Transmigration option? Wait.. you watched me?! How long have you been watching?" all of Felix's concentration was now focused on that last part.

"Hmmm.. since the day I woke up, or born, or at least as far as I could remember. I would say a couple of years"

"Wait... A couple of years?!" Felix panicked. The thought of someone watching everything he did for years send shivers down his little spine.

"Yeah, 24/7. I can't do anything else anyway." confirmed the voice. As if it wasn't anything strange.

"You can't do anything else? Aren't you some god or something?" said Felix trying to shift the topic fearing what she might have seen.

"God? Of course not. Or else I would just go watch someone else or something." Her answer poked Felix's self-esteem a little but he too agreed.

"So you watched me for years and you suddenly decided to bring me here because you're bored?"

"Don't forget you were bored too, but yes, a couple of days ago I noticed a new option on my GUI saying that we could "move" here. I thought about it and since you agreed I clicked it."

Nothing she said made sense to him but the most important question remained.

"hmm... GUI... options... so, where exactly are we?"

"Welcome to Terra, a world filled with a mysterious energy that enables its inhabitants to use what you would call magic. Apparently, we are in one of its biggest continents. That's all I got." She said sounding very proud of her self.

"Oh wait..., something new appeared in my GUI. It seems like an app. 'Apprentice Magus System'. I'll try launching it."

The progress bar kept blinking but never went up.

"Uff.. guess this is gonna take a while. Why don't we go explore this new world while we wait for it?"

Felix couldn't see the so-called progress bar or anything, but he could feel the disappointment and boredom coming from the voice.

"I would love to if had a functioning body, but as you can see I am still a baby." said Felix sarcastically, trying to understand how to control this new body.

"By the way, since I'm pretty much stuck with you what should I call you?"

"Dunno, I can't remember"

Although she said the same thing like before, Felix felt a little sadness in her.

"Well, since I need a way to address you from now on, how about... Eve, yeah, Eve."

He said thinking that a short name like that might be easier to remember.

"Eve... Eve... ok, then from now on I'm Eve!" Said Eve triumphantly.

"Oh... the progress bar just went up, I guess it's gonna need a lot of time." Said Eve.

"Good, because I think I'm gonna need a couple of hours of sleep" Answered Felix with a sluggish thought and fell asleep as soon as he finished.

"Eve huh..." Said Eve finishing with a giggle while watching baby Felix sleep.
